😂😂😂 Mines just failed, so thanks for the heads up, great videos, I have recently upgraded from an l322 fixed the heated /cooled seats a few times. They are heavy you must be fit. I also just finished refurbing my side steps and got them working too. I wish you both the best and thanks again for sharing.
Another great detailed video, and Thanks again for this. I have the L405 and this same thing usualy happens about 70% of the time whenever i use the boot power buttons to lower the back seats, the front seats then move forward. It also happens when i move the passenger seat at times as well, but not as often, perhaps 10% of the time the light come on. To get rid of the light, i then move either one of the front seats, sometimes it needs the rear seats to be moved again, and this always clears the light 100% . On another note, i watched your videos on the side step deployment, got the replacement motors, so it's currently a work in progress. I can now see why Land Rover only want to replace the fully system, but at £3.5k, i can see why you did the motors and overhaul yourself. Topman.
Another great and detailed video, thank you. I’ve had she same problem with mine, what I have found is when the airbag light come on rather than moving the seat back and forth and up and down, use the buttons to inflate and deflate the side bolster, I reduced the pressure and mine went off and hasn’t reappeared. My thoughts are when the bolster is inflated it’s pressing on the other side of the connector causing the light to come on. Although since deflating a little mine has stayed off so can’t be 100% but it’s worth a try if anyone is getting this problem and sharing their findings here. 🙏
I get this light come on after the other half has driven the car because she puts the seat forward, I've been just doing to reset to get rid of the light. Thought I would actually address the issue and much to my surprise, the previous owner has had that loom fix done and there is plenty of slack on the cable. So now I have no idea what the issue is!
Is it the cables though? I have the same problem on a Range Rover Sport. Sometimes, if you move the driver's seat, the airbag light comes on, after the system has done its initialisation test. You can always reset this by moving the driver's seat forwards, backwards, up and down etc. The airbag light then won't come back on, sometimes for weeks. If it was a cable problem, then moving the seat back and forth etc would make the problem worse, not better. The answer could be faulty software in the ECU which sometimes doesn't like to see new seat position data. Moving the seat to different positions might be resetting the software and then the airbag light goes out. I'm fairly sure it's not a hardware problem.
Love my L494 so far, it’s kept me steady with things to fix. My M2 never had anything to do other than when I was fitting modifications. My driver seat heating/cooling never worked when I first bought my Range Rover. So was swapping the fan modules to see if it was that. Scanned it with my GAP tool and was getting some codes relating to heated seat module and seat module having incorrect coding. So decided to unbolt the seat and flip it back to have a look. Ended up that the heated seat module was unplugged. Not sure if it was done on purpose or managed to work loose with the seat being moved over time. One of the easier fixes anyway.
I had a similar fault on both of my front seats that turned the airbag light on. Fault code B0023-13. I took the bolts out of both seats and disconnected the connection underneath. I then sprayed electrical cleaner in the connections and connected them back up. Fault code went without resetting it and the airbag light went off.

👍❤️❤️🙏🙏🇬🇧
Thank you very much !!
The same airbag-light is servicing the passenger seat too. Did you ever check that as well?
not checked yet but will do
