I agee and enjoyed this series, but I gotta be critical of one thing. You said Supreme likes to be on the low, only very few are "in the know" but in this episode you say people don't look for the deeper message. A bit of a contradiction, can't know the deeper message if they keep it to themselves. So while I agree, I also can't blame anyone for not understanding a supreme crowbar. Also that brick was 100% an inside joke lmaoo. Keep up the good vids. Had to sub!
I think its because supreme wasn’t supposed to this saturated, those who know will know and those who don’t know wouldn’t even know about supremes existence
You guys fucking get it! A common term here in the UK is "All the gear, no idea". Just because you wear all the clothes a pro golfer wears, and have bought all the clubs pro golfers use, it doesn't make you any good at golf. People are alway copying whats on the surface, in attempt to present themselves as having what lies beneath; in reality they're just a hollow shell, and unfortunately it works, but it only works on other people who have no idea either.
See I completely agree with your views here. I think that this company has gone to shit with the idea that people can buy a Supreme item and then use the item to try to gain something from the item and not from the culture of the item. You guys might even notice that in my profile picture I am wearing a Supreme shirt but the reason why I wore that shirt was to spread the culture of Supreme. I'm not saying that people shouldn't take pictures of themselves in Supreme I'm saying that if you are going to show Supreme on yourself spread the culture, not the hype. Tell me what you think!
I hope this video blows up in order for people to truly understand what’s supreme is about. fuck hypebeasts and hipsters wearing expensive clothes won’t make u cool
This is such a nice perception of this creation called supreme! that is beyond than just clothing, is a group of soul that enjoy eachother skating and sharing! really human! Cool Stuff @pushproduct
Now that supreme ships to Mexico. I can predict we are going to have a supreme Mexico in the future. It would be the next step to get the brand out there
I really like this documentary on Sup, especially how you stress the current lame “Hypebeasts” youtube posers that now make it tough to buy Supreme-which has been a thorn in the culture. Also, what happened to Miss. Skateboarding brand? I like their decks. Did they close? I can’t find their stuff.
“We aren’t selling out” I love y’all vids but the shoutouts midway are whack and feel forced... been noticing them on a few vids by now Aside from that Keep up the good work
+SnoopiesPoopies We never have and never will take payments/favors for the shoutouts. It’s 100% about giving upcoming creatives a platform. That’s how it’s gonna be from 2019 to infinity
I think supreme has all The attributes to grow out of The hype and survive it. But it Will have to change its self-portrayal, cause you cant pretend you are something you are not anymore after a while, meaning they have to stop pretending they still have anything to do with skateboarding. OR, stop limited drops and becoming something like the bougey Nike SB. Meaning, realeasing in a more fair way to The public.
I disagree with you on Dime and Palace. Dime has always been below mid and Palace maybe at one point was interesting but they've always have been piss poor copies of Supreme. The "international" market killed Supreme.
Now a days it’s all about showing you have money and can afford limited supreme stuff. And then put it on instagram. And then you are something you know... I am from the 80’s so i know what you are talking about. But i think supreme will not last long anymore, when the hype is over it’s over. I feel like people will get sick of it.
Its so bizzare to me people that buy clothes without even knowing shit about the history or anything they just buy shit for thw hype that shits so lame to me
I think that Supreme of the current day can't be equated to old supreme...like it or not Jebbia's ideals are not as present as they used to...and the company thrives on the things this video hates...the corporations that control this company are catering to hypebeasts and its becoming less and less about the culture despite releases like "illegal business controls america" and the skate film that released...its just not authentic and seems like ironic designs released by the company that controls the brand to kind of emulate the culture not embody it
thus this video, in my opinion, is incorrect that Supreme still embodies individuality and skate culture...because now its just not true because corporate control is inevitable.
furthermore...the "slap a supreme logo on something" is true because that's what the rich corporate owners of the brand want...what would a skater do with a crowbar or brick...theres truly no meaning
Cameron Pham im not sure if the uploader explained or if i saw a comment but from what i understand, the crowbar is for breaking into places (ex schools) to skate in and the brick is for makeshift ramps and stunts. this could all be reaching of course because they come out with timbs and jordans but it all comes back to new york culture i guess
You make some good points and your analysis is pretty accurate but I don’t agree with the whole skaters being ‘cool’ and trying to be like the cool kids because skateboarding was never meant to be for ‘cool’ people, skateboarding is for true fucking freaks...
These 2 videos have good info and informative for the new people but some other shit on here is super corny. Promoting some artist that has nothing to do with Supreme in the middle of the video is also super corny. Other than that, decent content.
Supreme is such a good skate brand but the dumb hypebeast are killing it, non of them skate for shit, they buy the decks to hang it on the wall instead of letting skaters buy it to skateboard.
PART 1:

Keith Richards said it best;
