So I feel like it's better to let them honor his legacy with some really in depth stuff on his career and achievements. I'm thinking they are going to release a "Loveletters To Grosso" with a ton of old footage and ads.

I'm in my 40's, so I remember back in the 90's when Supreme was just a local skate shop and pretty much only skaters and underground hip hop heads knew about it. And regular people could actually just go into the store and buy things. Before there were lines around the block. Without trying to sound like a bitter old man, it's super corny now. It's gotten the farthest away that it can be from where it started with it's original base of supporters. It's just a bunch of hypebeasts and kids with rich parents who wear it. The majority of people wearing it now don't even know it's a skate brand. They started out as such a dope brand too. Oh, and how do you mispronounce Stussy and then pronounce it correctly like 20 seconds later?? And do all Canadians say the word "collab" incorrectly??
I agree with your point Supreme has gone downhill in its' branding itself as a purist skateboard company, that is now mostly worn by Hypebeasts and Flippers. From another perspective, they've taken themselves from a niche NY skateboard shop with a small market to a global name, that people line up for, almost like Apple or luxury designer brands. That success is pure marketing genius. Yourself or I might not agree with this decision as consumers, but that's made them wildly successful. How dare those knuckle-dragging Canadians mispronounce slang that American-English speakers, clearly the center of the universe, made up. They're a bunch of losers if you ask me, lol.

Also the fact that the majority of their sales are to people who don’t skate or who don’t even know they’re a skate brand makes them pretty instantly not a skate brand. They just sell whatever sells. Absolutely anything. Skateboarding doesn’t matter anymore to supreme, like it’s some kinda side gig. It’s just about maintaining their brand recognition and selling random stuff now.

In the early 1990's, Powell Peralta released an add with Ray Barbee, Steve Siaz, and crew at an old time gas station. It was entitled Supreme. I swear they even used that red and white lettering. I later buy PP Supreme shirts. All this time I thought Supreme Skateboards had something to do with Powell. I wish this would have been addressed in the video.....even though it may only exist in my head. 🤣
Before I even watch this video, as a skater from the 90s. I always understood that Supreme was a skate shop in New York. Pretty sure I had seen Zarred Bassett visit the shop in a Zoo York dvd, Skate Maps. Now, let's see if I'm right.

I had a supreme reversible purple polka dotted zip up hoodie....got it for a christmas present around 2011 2012 or something before i even knew supreme was a skate company that was super highly valued and i left it in my ex-girlfriends dorm after i slept there one night and i never got it back. Loved that thing, cannot find it listed anywhere on any website. The only thing i can think of is that i am mis rememberong and it was a different company but in almost 100% positive it was supreme.
