I’ve seen some of your older videos in the past and I’m truly impressed by your progress! Your technique has drastically improved as well. How long have you been playing in total?
just watching this in absolute awe, the hand movements look so sped up its like teleportation. I been playing for 17 years and couldn't imagine being this good 👍
One of the few who clearly plays the octave trills at 'con fuoco'. Would use less pedal at 'tutta forza' section though. Excellently played. What is your favourite recording?
Hey what do you practice to get so good? I saw one of your replies saying you’ve been playing for 6 years. I’m self taught and have been playing for 4 years. My left hand technique is pretty good but my right hand technique lacks. Do you just practice arpeggios and scales? Or what?
It’s those triplet jumping octaves. The arpeggios aren’t a trouble for me but it’s those gosh darn leaps that I genuinely think are the hardest thing in entire piece
@@Ash1nerTV six months later. My solo recital is in 11 days. I’m playing Mephisto Waltz at the end. Those darn triplet octave jumps are still such a scary sections 😭 The arpeggios aren’t really a problem for me because arpeggios are my strongest kind of technique, so it’s a personal thing. I agree that they are crazy hard, but they aren’t super hard to me. That’s part of why I chose the piece: it would be a great way to showcase my strength since it doesn’t really use any of my technical weaknesses (like scales… and highly technical left hand figures) Have you found any kind of “solution” to the octave jumps? Or do you just genuinely find them easier? Anything I might not have thought of? Would love to hear your perspective
@@shuatock8216 To be honest, i haven’t found any any kind of solution to the octave jumps. I have always wanted to be good at octaves, so when my teacher thought I was ready, I jumped at the opportunity to play things like Hungarian Rhapsody 6 and Chopin Etude 25 10. I guess the same way you’re good at arpeggios, I’m good at octaves. These triplet jumping octaves are definitely harder than any regular octaves, so I still really struggle with them, but they come more naturally to me than arpeggios I guess. Good luck with your solo recital! I’m sure you’ll do really well 🙃
@@Ash1nerTV thanks for the excellent response I guess it’s in some ways beautiful knowing that we are all unique in our strengths as performers. Good luck with your practicing and thank you for your good luck wishes :)
Good news y’all! I don’t struggle with them anymore. The whole piece went super well in my recital too. I have a video from about 2.5 months ago on my channel to show :)
Intensive practise done to master this. Just wanted to mention that. Outstanding performance. 👍
You are amazing
i love your skills and your lighting
mephisto waltz is my favorite piano piece currently

Sry i forgot to answer the question…
I have been playing piano for 6 years now
@@tenja2996 wow that’s extremely impressive for 6 years. Keep it up man!
Well played 👍🏽👍🏽
No one’s going go mention him having the dogs out? Either way, fenomenal playing

He so fine
Piano's sound fits perfectly
The octave jumps are amazing
Yup! That's about right.
Well played.

If you have been playing piano for 17 years, longer then i have been alive btw, and you cant even attempt to play this then please quit playing piano.
@@LiteralNobody8 you say its longer than you've been alive as if that isn't obvious lol
@@Fildoggy ok
@@Fildoggy18 years not being able to play this is insane. i am self taught for 3 years and playing this wouldn't be that difficult plus i am 14.
@@nmkhaim it is definitely difficult for newcomers to understand how good this guys technique actually is
The cadenza after is crazy hard too. Mainly cause my right hand has been doing so much work and then it has to play that crazy run afterwards 😭
crazy, you must be a genius!
there is no “hard” part, the hard part is playing the entire piece
learning this right now, any tips?
ngl the vid is aesthetic visually that light and color
This indeed looks very diffocuult

My Personal favorite recording is the one from Nicolas economou.
(Sry for my bad english)
@@tenja2996 Yeah he has a fantastic recording. Get it up to his tempo and yours will be perfect. I hope to see a full recording soon!

Underrated
My favorite part! Good job!
Your fingers look just like mine!
not a single wrong note in the octave jumps wow
Marvelous!
how long have you been playing this piece?
Would you say this part is more difficult than etude Op 10 No. 1? Also how long did it take you to learn this?
For me, This part wasn't difficult than op10no1. If you have big hands it will be much easier than op10no1.
(I can barely reach octave woth my rh)
@@user-es9ui3cc3x Thanks
This is much more difficult
@@Bozzigmupp I was thinking the same thing, I've been leaning Op 10 No 1 and I haven't found it as difficult as people say it is.
@@LisztFan2005 I have not learnt it but to me it just seems to be arpeggios. It certainly is not easy but this is another lever of difficult

insane but i am waiting for the full balade 1 !!
ballade way easier compared to this
@@lucastamenov9615 ofc but 6 months ago he posted his coda from the ballade so I was hoping maybe he was learning the full thing

pls perform the entire piece
better than some of the great pianists
Impressive 💪🏼
Genuinely tho the octave th jump section is magnificently performed. Better than many concert pianists
You are too good for that piano, you deserve a Steinway Model D or Bösendorfer Model 290 Imeperial.
