@@PauwerPlays just entered the cult, only i chose the chargeblade, sharp weapon with impact vials and the gear already comes with slugger 2. in other words tailcuts and blunt partbreaks and paralysis with stun with skills already fitting the set ;)
@@robz6306 havent tested it for myself so cant say for certain but if it follows the same pattern as poison it doesnt but indirectly does by triggering the buildup sooner. And when paralysed 10% bonus damage will be active, and the free hits are also indirectly adding up the damage
Until I forced Giga frost for the event, I was using the girros strong arm unless otherwise elemental effectiveness. Just waiting for hbg and swag axe. He would be cool if we could form net parties like in every other mh
This is actually pretty cool. I'm thinking of adding weakness exploit for my own build. Lock on requires me to not be knocked off my feet LOL I hope they add in charms. You can never have too many skills
I love this video and decided to invest in this PB5 set for farming 6* monsters after watching it. What do you think of Radobaan SnS instead of Girros SnS because paralysis makes certain monster parts freeze in place where SnS can't reach e.g. Rath wings, Anjanath tail... Perhaps alternate between sleep and paralysis for different monsters. A fully-charged guard-backhop also deals pretty good damage to proc the double damage from the first attack after sleep. Radobaan is also pretty fun to farm, as you have mentioned XD. I'm enjoying SnS so far and even though its damage might not compare to other weapons, it is really reliable. You get to lock-on to a part and just start wailing at it, unlike gyro-reliant weapons where you gotta aim. The shield is a lifesaver and heroics abuser. I can reliably walk and play while using SnS as you're not locked into many attack animations. I'm really enjoying MHNow so much and I can't wait till new weapons, monsters, and systems(jewels) come out. Anyways, thanks for the informative video!
What i don't like about the sleep status is you get only one hit and the monster wakes up. For paralysis, you get multiple hits in for more consistent partbreaks and when you break a part they dont fall down anymore and you can reposition quickly to target the next part. The anjanatg tail i target it whenever it goes down and for wings i dont even bother anymore with the sns 😂. I prioritize cutting tails against flying wyverns. That's why i love the sns! So reliable and you can just mindlessly use it while walking haha! Glad youre enjoying the game man! Lets hope mhnow continues to get better!
@@PauwerPlays thanks for the heads up before I invested in sleep SnS. Btw, from data mined information and personal speculation, I feel that Coral Pukei might be coming out in March. I took a look at its set in monster hunter world and saw that its armor skills are mainly water attack and Partbreaker (and crit draw but mhnow doesn't have drawing atracks haha). So there might be a stronger PB5 set in March if what I speculate is true.
Also you cant break wings with lock-on. Or you can't target them. This is the MAIN Reason why i know partbreaker is BEST with Gyroscope on for melee weapons
You're correct. I use gyro mainly for the game in general(only need to use lock-on on 9* Barroth: gotta get dem tiny legs). I use Element Attack 5 Part Breaker 3 ( or El Atk 4 PB 4) and I usually get 3 breaks on flying wyverns (at least 2 on 8*s) and can get all 5 on Rado... it's hilarious. Glad to see someone else acknowledges Gyro.
I use gyro for heavy weapons but for light weapons like the sns and db i prefer lock on. I tend to whiff more attacks using gyro since the attacks change direction
@pauwerplays When I make my tutorial on gyro with melee weapons... I'm 100% sure you will change your mind with sns on gyro. It's the best weapon for sure with gyro
The point of the part breaker build is to farm lower level mobs and breaking all the parts, pointless to do it for 8* since only 1 part drops WGS so might as well use ur best build instead, and sns for partbreaker is not ideal since alot of the mobs have wing parts which sns cant target easily The best build is still bd bow ehich potentially can break 4 parts in most cases (head, back, 2 wings) If tail is what u need, then i rathet u build a db build instead and use special to cut their tails off
Also... its silly to say this build won't work on 8* hunts. Honestly, it won't... but thats because lock-on is sacrificing some of that dps you could squeeze in. You ought to make some videos on the 8* Do test with and without lock-on using partbreaker. Lock-on isnt gonna increase your breaks. Im also gonna make my "gyro melee" tutorial as its been highly requested by some of my nae sayers on why gyro is best with melee
Anything else honestly. Burst is good for 4 seconds right? Well if that's the case then Burst wouldn't be best for slower weapons... g.s and hammer. I personally dig the diablos gloves for heroics on hard two hit hunts and I use tobi Kadachi for evade extending when I have too much defense or too little. Idk get creative and see what ya like. Burst isn't a bad skill for sns. Most of the time lost in a hunt is due to attacks that over reach the map. Soo I like to close the gap faster if it comes to it. You could keep the rathian gloves but me and a few others already have come to a solid 5 month conclusion that gyro is best for partbreaker builds. If ya had gyro on with sns I would hands down invest into things like guard as with gyro you Can gyro cancle block and end up in a sweet spot with some practice. What would you try in place of the Burst?
Can you do this with longsword instead? I think longsword is better at severing parts right? Or is there no difference? I currently use blast sns and that seems to be doing okay although paralyze would probably be better :D Takes a lot of time to farm the paralyze weapon up.
How many parts do you break on average? The lower level the monster I can consistently break 4 parts with my gun build and 3 parts for higher level monsters. I’ve also found radobaan to be the easiest to break 4+ parts lol

Currently, my only 8* weapon is the Double Blade (made of bone) - with these blades I am glass canon, because my armor is at level 5-6. Is it possible to farm 8-star items from 8-star monsters without progressing in the story? In the story, I'm in 6-star monsters, and only the 8-star Zinogre appears in the hunt.
I have a similar build but on LBG but instead of rathian vambrace I chose Basarios Vambrace for recoil reduction +2 as for the LBG, I use Odo LBG since it has innate affinity and for some reason it has a decent reload speed to the point that i don't need to put reload speed up anymore. Very fun build to use because of part breaker +5

You can check out my latest part breaker build using the charge blade! Pretty much uses almost the same parts but with slugger mixed in. The diablos nero helm is like that because its from a male avatar :)
The black diablos is hard to replace cos it has partbreak 2. You can try rathalos helm for attack boost 2 but you might not break parts as fast. Feel free to experiment with the armor pieces that you have available!
Only grade 8 weapon I have is Anjanath GS, it gives me the rising tide skill which is useful with how ofter it procks & stacks. The GS tackle has stun value so slugger will work just can't take advantage of burst. Slow but big numbers. I do want to give this build a try with my G8 GS for the wyvern shards as I'm stuck on 8 star Anjanath urgent
Took a while to get the diablos parts & zenny but got the full part breaker set & Anja GS to 8-3 & just in time for the barioth/legiana event. Got 20ish tails yesterday from about 2hrs of play

I use it with the lance. I dont like it with light weapons that have fast attacks haha! And i usually walk while i play so gyro kinda difficult to use while on the go haha
Its the g8 girros sns. You will need r6 wyvern gem shards so it might take a while but g7.5 girros sns can still do the job. Or you can check out my other partbreaker build with the charge blade b4 you decide :)

Yep i consistently break the face then the tail with this build. Only target tail when they are flying. Tails are very difficult to reach using the sns but when they fly, its way easier
Thank you for responding! 😁 I have seen videos where bow users break wings, backs and faces against Legiana and Rathalos. That way they have three or more chances of getting extra rarity two materials. With SnS I can only break faces and cut off tails. 😢
For SnS try using your charged backstep for the breaks. Me personally I get 3 breaks but I'm not using lock on... I break face, tail and back with sns but if I notice one of my attacks go stray on a wing I stop focus on the back and go for that wing. Hope this helps
@haxelhimura oh no its impossible for the sns haha. Try lance or ls. Your only chance of breaking the wing using sns is locking on to the legs and performing the leaping slash to shield slam combo

I love the video but the nurf on the drops is killing new players including me at lvl 63, can't upgrade anything passed 4 due to it and 6* are lagging out
That's a real struggle at the early game. Drops for rarity 4s and 5s are a real pain at first. Once you upgrade one weapon to grade 5 or 6 its gonna get easier. The lagging sucks and its gonna make the grind far more difficult :(

Im lvl 104 and my friend is brand new, he just hit lvl 35 last night.. cant wait to equip this then see his face when we group hunt with this build❤❤

Heroics or elemental attack is ypur best bet if youre stuck on urgents

You can block with your back on Lance and sns with gyro cancle block
