Deshio Monjudo [Walking along the rainy approach to the shrine]

Deshio Monjudo is an ancient temple located in the Monju Mountains of Deshio, Murakizawa district, in the western part of Yamagata City. The approach to the temple is narrow but straight and gently uphill. From around the end of June, 2,500 hydrangeas will be in full bloom on both sides of the narrow approach.
It was still early in the hydrangea season when I visited, but the rain-soaked approach to the shrine was so beautiful that I took a photo of it with my smartphone.
