#DallasCowboysReport - Спорт
Many props to Zeke !! He was never bitter, never to egotized to come back for a lot less money than he used to make, ... he has had a great attitude the whole time !! I am rooting Zeke on !!!
For fucks sake at least somebody’s optimistic. I know he’s got jerseys out there everybody’s gonna put on if he does well 😂
I’m not worried if we have a running back problem there will be tons of them once preseason and final rosters are being put together. We’ve also been known to trade for a running back we are loaded next year wit draft picks with an extra 4 compensatory picks I’ll ask you this. Would you rather be needing a offensive lineman or a running back and what are you most likely to get if you traded
I think you're probably right. Still would've been nice to take one late in the draft. Youth is important at RB, but as you said we could still trade for someone.
If for no other reason Zeke can help with pass protection for Dak.💪🏾🤠
Dak will still find away to eff it all up. Lol.
As a 50 year fan let me say he was already gonna remembered as a Cowboy.
Zeke is going to have an amazing, outstanding season this year... he will give us performances of 2017 and those early seasons.... just watch !!
Zeke and Dak farewell tour.....coming this FALL
I'm glad that Zeke is back In Dallas
I've said since they day he left that it would cost us the season. His pass protection alone is worth a spot
Amen
Said it before and ill say it again. I think zekes diminshed running ability not only comes from wear n tear, but also bad runblocking oline. Especially when travis was forced to retire. Thatscwhen zekes production fell off a cliff and cowboys oline hasnt really been good ever sense and often plagued with injuries, especially tyron. But if either brock hoffman and cooper beebee are great centers(gotta be better than biadaz) and guyton learns and fits right in as our left tackle, then i can see a bit of a zeke resurgence. At that point id see if deuce can be that change of pace back with his speed. A thunder and lightning 2.0 if you will, only this time with vaughn instead of pollard and with pass catchers that dak actually trusts.
So Zeke's absence was the reason Dallas couldn't get out of the 1st round, and for the 28th year in a row missed the Super Bowl? OK.
In what year that the Cowboys did have Zeke did they go past the divisional round or to a Super Bowl?? Lol, he never saved any other season.
Dak led the in TDs last year and looked great besides a few bad games. Zeke wasn't missed at all. He would've made the team worse, just like he will this year if they give him much playing time.
I'm glad to see him back. Bottom line say what you want about him inside the 20. I'll take him, especially at the goal line, and a great pass blocker. Plus, if they fix the run scheme and we upgraded at the center at .
I think Zeke Adds quite a bit more value than Royce Freeman. Zeke will help us in goal line, short yardage, and 3rd down
He will wear them down for sure
And most importantly he is one of the best pass protection RB dallas has ever had
@gojohnny100 very true
Shouldn’t have to pay him anything his overpaid contract was still costing them 6 million against the cap this year
Remember Timmy Smith reeling off 200+ yards behind the Hogs for DC in SB XXII? A great OL can make any RB shine.
The way last season ended and the talk surrounding the team since then will have a negative affect on player psyche. If the players come together (us against the world) the team stands a chance at success. Zeke's greatest contribution this year could fall in this area.
Finally! Brilliant, brilliant move! He will surprise many, disappoint only a few. 🎉
Whats he gonna do, rush for 499 this coming season 😂?
Zeke rushed for 642 last year with a bad o line. We'll be fine
642 yrds ÷ 17 games averages around 32 yards a game. Nah bruh we won't be ok. Lol.
At least if you're going to have a committee at running back he's not a bad member and you're not giving him a long-term exploded deal.
Ever move for Jerry is a marketing move. To hell with football...
Fish, did you ever think that this could have been the plan the whole time? Remember Zeke and Henry were out of the same draft.
Nobody is talking about all the talented TE's we have, who needs running backs.
Man we have some of the best tightends but that extra blocking power from zeke will go along way and dak can pick apart everyone we play
@@purecountry33 agreed Zeke is a great pass blocker
Exactly!!! Thus may be our strongest position group!!!!
I can’t believe Zeke is only 29. RBs age so fast.
Shocked how his burst tanked it after the first few seasons :/
They could've picked one in the third round. Cmon Fish. We're going into this season without a running threat.
Zeke is the backup center
The worst rb situation was last year- trash ass rb room- we completely had to leave the run game due to pollard lack of redzone and short yardages
Christian Mc at SF proves that RB is very vital, more than you say.
I know after Zeke’s final carry against the 49er’s the organization couldn’t let THAT play be his last play in Cowboys history.
Zeke was always a good pass blocker.
Running back by committee is the move. I don't have a problem with the signing.
Zeke is a marketing move...
Zeke isnt a marketing move. That was a loser team mentality move. That’s why we don’t win nothing they would rather pay a washed up scrub 3 million then actually draft the running back for that same price and get a young fresh running back for four years for 3 million total, that wasn’t a marketing move that was a loser team move
@@seanpaul4101 Lazy ass move going back to the past
Exactly, Zeke started the last 5 games of the season for the Pats when Stevenson was injured and averaged UNDER 3yds A CARRY !!!!! 🤦🏻
@eldub422 id rather Jerry bring back Troy 😅
It’s a going away gift for Dak giving him his pal for his last season with the Cowboys
Zeke and Rico both healthy is not bad at all
Worse RB room in the NFL
definitely
Yeah ok bud @@jeromenichols1154
I have been critical of the off-season moves or non moves by the Cowboys. That being said I am happy with the draft this year. Not sexy by any means but they are set up going forward to have more physicality on the O Line and D line going forward. They put themselves in a spot to draft some playmakers to include a top running back next year.
And The Tanking Has Begun. "they're all in"
Go play madden
They drafted this year for the future. Thats why they didn't press on rb.. they are building in the trenches first
I think the RB will be fine, the main problem was upgrading the O-line and they “seemingly” have done that. Zeke is a true pro and never misses games. Dowdle is a solid backup/rotational RB and sprinkle in some Deuce & Luepke and it will be good enough, imo.
They have until the season starts to look at RBs. The June cuts may yield a number of candidates. I would be more concerned if they had taken 2 rbs in the first 4 and were ledt with 7 round Oline prospects. BTW Fish called me out last year when I mentioned an upgrade at center depth.
Finally got the beast on the best short yardage back in the NFL!!! welcome back Ezekiel Elliott!!!! Red zone, production just went up!!!!!!!
GO COWBOYS!
They will likely GO 9-7 next year....And that will get them better draft picks for 2025 when Belichek is choosing the players (with Jimmy as an "advisor").
@@steveludwig4200 yeah, whatever….
Fish you said we don`t have to have a great running back but remember what happened to the 93 cowboys when emit held out for the first 2 games. The boys would not have been as good without #22 for the season. A good rb takes the pressure off the qb.
You keep saying gilly isn’t here. He hasn’t signed anywhere else though
If you`ve got good blocking, your backs have a chance. Last season the run blocking was not good. Hopefully the run blocking improves this season and we see what the backs are really capable of.
The biggest problem with our run game is our Offensive Line. You could have Emmitt in his prime, BAD Blocking. If the blocking was good Davis or Dowdle are just fine.
Thanks Fish 🐠
GREAT show FISH‼️
Pro days tend to skew the numbers in favor of the athletes. Also he didn't get invited to the combine because he was a backup. The real RB from Missouri was Cody Schrader.
I do believe that they're making some moves to create a storyline.
Also if draft is their thing why not invest a pick for a RB? If you want to save money and not invest a lot why not get rookie RBs with fresh legs?
Zeke is def a brilliant goaline back
Before receiving one of the largest contracts in football, you couldn't stop Zek. After the 140 million contract,he couldn't make it past the line of scrimmage.
He has one hell of a lot ground to make up for.
Jerry How many more seasons on cashing in on the empty legacy ATM? (There's a void in the ownership room)
He couldn't get over the goal line, first yard line before he was released lol
Hi Fish
Missed your live today but I have an idea for the uncle fish store for a new shirt.
T-N-T for Tyler Smith and Tyler Guyton. If you think a good idea and the shirt comes out. Don’t forget to send me one lol.
Thanks for trying to put a positive spin on this story 😅
Send 3.5 yrs per carry. Behind the same OL Stevenson avg 4.0.
Well at least you could say Zeke will probably be the only one you could say is "all in".
I lead the way and make the notion that Zeke becomes a fan favorite in 2024 !!!!
And there is a void in Jerry and Stephen's head
Zeke still brings value. Try to find somebody better for what they will pay him to do better in pass protection and for tough short yardage situations when you need to convert!
If they fix the O line, Zeke may surprise this year ..
Vaughan would be a weapon if they use pre motion with him and play action. He can catch
With his former K-State teammate Cooper Beebe in the fold he will be much better.
You look better when you smile this frown isn't good
I thought we drafted someone to play center... 😅
Im ok with no RB being drafted. Yes it would have been nice but we have much bigger needs than RB. The OL is juiced up as you say and it just wasnt a good class for RB.
Fish we new we was gonna miss on something I'll take RB plus OL has been uploaded
I would like for someone to give a real report on the 6 round draft pick should Cowboys have draft Brandy Rice. I noticed no one is talking about this could we not have got both. 04-29-24
Cowboys are not an SB team for this season so people need to chill. Lets just hope we can get in the playoffs.
Why do want them to make the playoffs for, so they can get embarrassed again
I think we’re better then everyone thinks
And so are the competition
@@eldub422eagles sure as hell are
Young guns have a chance to eat the haters!!!
Every single snap duece took last year was negative yards
Hey MIKE I really hope the Cowboys stumble in to the Super Bowl Ha Ha.,after all you KNOW IT ALLS get it wrong GO Zeke.....
Deuce couldnt even get on the field last year
Or, for the $3 million we pay Zeke, plus the $5 million we pay Trey Lance, we could have signed Derrick Henry.
I think you could make a little math problem out of this:
Derrick Henry X 0 + (Zeke + Trey Lance) = y
Why, indeed.
Exactly
To anyone complaining about about zeke- let me remind you of what pollard accomplished last year-
Don't get me wrong, Zeke was once great, but now he is an aging back whose best days are long gone. The Cowboys are better to go with a younger guy now with fresh legs than to revisit this deal with Zeke! This is to get Dak his best buddy back on the team, hoping it might get more from him!!
Anymore tickets to the gun show?
Fish don’t have Mr. Magoo face
2:42 - Peat dude has a GREAT vertical leap!!! Awesome, since he's NOT fast enough to run around guys and NOT big/strong enough to run through guys, MAYBE he can JUMP over them??? Cowboys are laughable.....
the 2nd round draft pick should have been a RB.
Glad that Zeke's back in Dallas. While some of his skills may have deterior8d; he's still the best in the biz when it comes 2 his pass blocking. Being a (U-M). Wolverines fan; I didn't like Zeke in college (he's a Bl-Ohio State Fuckeyes alumnus) but as a pro, I could care less RE: his alma mater. Gvn the Cowboys' offensive system; Zeke's skillset still fits. W/that said; Zeke has 2 negoti8 w/Trey Lance 2 get his college uni4m # (#15).: Regardless; glad that Zeke's back in Dallas.
Use him in short yards situation and goal line. They need to trade to get a legit RB and soon to get the guy in the building.
With the run on QBs in the 1st round, Dak will be very expensive next year.
You can't only let someone play 15 plays in a season and expect to see what they can do........
It's the cowboy way lol
Emmitt Smith rushed for 1330 as a 29 year old running back..... "lets go Zeke!"
Unlike Zeke, Emmitt Smith didn't have knee issues that hampered him late in the season
This is such a Jerry Jones, "we like our guys" move. You bring back Zeke but you won't bring back Gillmore or Hankins? Can't wait for another season of 2-3 yards and a cloud of dust.
Cheap, 1-2 yard blast into the end zone, blocking. Etc. he knows Dallas. Nothing wrong with taking him back
If it is for marketing to wash front office face, is not going to work.
Who will be the starting RB day 1 ?
Love the reunion, Dak and Zeke’s last run together.
Crazy how time fly’s by, literally feels like yesterday they were starting for the Dallas cowboys as rookies
Make it memorable and get to the NFC title game 😆
Marketing is a part of most every move they make.
🤘
Zeke is back….I guess Emmitt Smith turned them down…lol
Or a "keep Dak upright" move?
I'm fine with a reset. Hopefully we can go 0-17
Another casual. Go find another team
@DCMIKE2K I'm willing to bet I've spent more money, more time effort emotion in the Cowboys 10× what you have. This reset is good for us dumb boy
@@DCMIKE2K I'd rather go 0-17 to secure the first overall pick and a franchise QB over what's on this roster now...
@Deke1 exactly, I guess this dude is cool with mediocrity every year, some ppl think we were good because we went 12-5 last year. We beat a Eagles team while they were falling apart, beat the Rams before they got hot, got gave a game against the lions when we desperately needed a win, & blown out by Packers in our own stadium in playoffs. We got smoke by every good team we played on the road, 49ers, Bills, Eagles, Miami & a trash Arizona team. C'mon man, I remember when I was a blind fan and always seen through the weaknesses with optimism & belief, drinking all the Kool aid.
@@millionairemccoy218 You're a dumbass if you think it's easy winning in the playoffs. All you casual fans act like all kinds of teams have won superbowls.
@FISH..JERVANTE WILLIAMS FROM DENVER WILL IN DALLAS SHORTLY
I be glad when my day comes to leave this world,so I wont have hear to hear the Cowboys name no more
But your dumb arse is here
Bring back Staunch to start.
Running backs aren't valued anymore, But you still need to draft somebody. Are you gonna be looking to pick up somebody post June cuts?
Just let's you know that the Jonses doesn't care about winning as long as their brand stays #1
We need a real running back
They need to win football games.
IN JANUARY
Dowdle & Davis are better than Pollard was last year. But it shows we’re going to be passing even more.
Zeke gave his all for Dallas, I'm glad they resigned him
Morning FISHERS and cowboys nation
This is so sad. Zeke may be best RB but that isn’t saying much.
Zeeeeeek!
