Zeke got around 900 scrimmage yards as mostly a backup last year. So 1100 scrimmage yards (both rushing and catching) is probable.
I agree. 900-1000ish is perfect. The O-line should be improved at run blocking, and Zeke is a great 3rd down/goal line back. These fans have lost their minds. And at 3 million vs 10 million. 100%

Trey Lance would be smart to stay in Dallas. I think he could at least be a backup here. I want to see him in preseason, we havent seen him play yet in a Cowboys uniform. That may be what they are doing on making a decision about giving him another contract.
I would play him at least 75% snaps in the preseason games. Dak and Cooper Rush can get enough snaps in practice but Lance needs as many as possible
If they planned him to stay a backup they would of just let him go and kept cooper rush for half the price them keeping Lance tells you he's gonna start at some point otherwise why not just keep Cooper Rush for cheaper he knows the system he's a veteran backup for cheaper

Yea, your probably right. Like I wrote, it was just a thought. I am still having a hard time why the Jones’s and administration are unwilling to add top players to their roster via free agency. Hence buying top free agent players can basically buy a Super Bowl. The Cowboys are the number one pro sports franchise of the NFL. I would venture to say affordability for a player is not an issue, and we all know the salary cap can be manipulated. So then why not pay for these players? I have another thought, I will try an break this down.
I have noticed when a player gets his bag and a contract to protect their place on a team, I have noticed many times the production of a player who got his bag and contract, Their play on the field falls to average statistics.Their production on the field becomes average.This has happened with Ziek, and other players the Cowboys gave big contract too. Could it be a player, loses his drive to be the best player because they have already made their money. They are not hungry anymore. Being hungry is a great motivator. I have seen this happen with many players in the league.They their money and can’t be cut and or traded for the most part. Hence the player has no fear, of losing money or being cut cause the have that contract to protect them, and rightfully so. But its human nature to become complacent, if your goal was about money and security and you now have it. Hence a theory, A player who has not been payed, is hungry, is motivated to prove himself to make that money. So, maybe the Jones and the Cowboys staff are going to experiment with a similar philosophy. To have a roster of young unknown hungry players who are out to prove themselves, many times a team with young average talented players are under rated and not taken seriously, hence this can make for a dangerous team with the right coaching. I noticed this with many teams the Cowboys lost to, last seasons. The packers, the cardinals and barely beating the Lions. Those teams had young, unrated players who went up against the cowboys heavily talented roster, yet they out played, out hustle, out hit the highly paid paid super stars of the Cowboys team. Though young players have much to learn, they can make up for their mistakes via the hustle. Also young players are more to be team orientated verses a veteran player who is more concerned about their brand, than what may be best for the team. Hence the player who is out to prove themselves will play harder and with more enthusiasm. So could this be why the Cowboys are putting together a young not so talented roster for the 2024 -25 season? Plus it will save the origination millions of dollars. A win win situation when looked at with this theory of thought.

Lance has an unbelievable ceiling and should replace Dak this year . Let him work all preseason as QB1 and show just how much he has grown. I truly believe he could take us to the promised land and actually win. Dak thinks he is more important then the team!
Lance is a good quarterback, and we as a collective really don’t know at this point what he truly could be. So I think we need to pump our brakes on negative speculation.

Mazi needs to step up to his 1st round pedigree, Schoonmaker will have competition this season. The young DB's will have to do their part. This years O-line draft picks needs to play well. And the position that really has to step up is the RB's.

Just a thought, maybe many owners of the NFL, are looking at the USFL and how it operates with a much lower over head in doing business. The USFL is attracting fans of pro football, yet this new league is not paying players millions upon millions of dollars to play in that league. They hire average players with low paying contracts . Fans of Pro Football are showing up to watch these games regardless of super stars not being on the field. fans are feeding this league the same way it feeds the NFL with is time and money. But the USFL operates a much lower over head as far as running a business that puts out a prodcut. Maybe some owners of NFL teams are saying to hell with spending so much money on a roster to try and win a Super Bowl. Why don't we just pay for average players with short and low paying contracts, and keep our over head low. the fan will show up anyway, they will keep on paying us anyway. Hence the football player will just be considered a dime a dozen, when one goes we will just put another on in his place. All we need to do is put a product, a team on the field, the fan will pay us anyway. Hence the Cowboys not willing to make long term contracts. Let the player go is there new business practice. They will show up, regardless who is on the field, so why not put a average unknown, unproven player on the field. Hence we will make millions upon millions more money, maybe even billions. Just a thought. The fans are brainwashed via marketing, gambling and fantasy football. Just a thought.
