Love this! I made a conscious decision to start following influencers/content creators thriving in their 40+ era. While I’m 28 and didn’t make the most of my 20s and late teens, the time is gone and passed and I want to welcome my next phases instead of fearing them
Re: weaponizing therapy speak - the only man I’ve ever had a relationship with so ar (I’m only in my early twenties) who went to therapy just used what he learned in therapy to try to manipulate better 😥 a menace he was good riddance

One of my best friends from school had 2 children with my ex 🥲 knowingly. Worst thing is I saw him a few times before I knew this and he was still trying to rekindle things with me. He decided to just not mention he had a child with my friend at the time. I don't hold anything against either of them, I'd moved on by then, but they were one of those friends who was outraged by the thought of me liking or dating any of her exes or interests. Very ironic situation, but without it, her two wonderful boys wouldn't be here.

I totally wouldn’t go for my friend’s ex anything. God forbid things start going awry in her own relationship and she starts wondering what if things could have worked with the other guy… same for the guy. Emotions will SURPRISE YOU and I don’t think this is worth it. I think of how when I was a little girl playing with friends and cousins, then letting me borrow a toy or clothes and then then not being able to stop reminding me that the thing is theirs.
Right on time. I recently had been dealing with feelings of shame after deciding to step away from a form of content creation I started a couple months ago. I had to really reflect on all the great accomplishments I’ve made and even the small daily habits I’ve maintained and give myself grace. I forgave myself.
Once I did that a new opportunity presented it self and it definitely aligns with where I am in my journey. ❤
