This was done on a 2005 lly duramax but will be the same procedure for the lb7, lbz, and lmm engines just different part numbers. Parts were purchased from PPE and Amazon I will provide links below.

I've finally found my leak at the same spot as yours. Thanks for the detailed walkthrough!

I caught your "Short" on the PPE leak a couple of days before watching this video and didn’t put it together at first... I first thought wtf another PPE leaky part!!! 😮

Just a suggestion, rather than trying to use locking pliers on production style spring hose clamps I get nice results for my German made Knipex hose clamp pliers with lever lock (8551250AFBSA). This specialty tool allows you to spread the clamp more to move it out of the way and it holds on to the clamp without suddenly letting go and possibly injuring your fingers.

Yeah I always say I’m going to get a pair of those specialty pliers but still haven’t bought a pair 😂guess I’m just cheap.

Wow do I feel bad for you to have to do that work all over again. You just really cannot get quality now. Prolly explains why OEM gets as much $ as they do.. Nice job, overall. Very instructive should i need to do it myself on my lbz. Thank You!! 👍 🍻

It was amazing scotty kilmer read my question on his live chat and told me to hang on to my 03 ford f150, I purchased brand new in 03 because he said.."that was the last year ford made good trucks", and now ford has the worst recall record going on 3 years straight so I'm done with ford and GM's. My dream? A little old lady sells me her 1990 pristine toyota with 10k miles in new condition for under market value....! I know, ron, keep dreaming. Oh, and in high school auto class in 72, the teacher said, always replace both upper and lower hoses on the radiator, cause if you do one, the other will leak or blow when you don't want it to.😅😮😅❤
