    If we’re not gonna count lebrons title during Covid then we shouldn’t any sports title in that year. HOFers have said they wouldn’t have been able to handle the bubble. The bubble was the one year where you got the best of every single player. All they had to do was focus on basketball. Nothing else, that’s why tj warren looked like an mvp and hasn’t looked even close yet they had to deal with the mental aspect of being a human being and being stuck in one place like that for so long.

      In my opinion the bubble title has less of an asterisk than a lot of peoples titles. Lebron faced all healthy squads. No travel. Everyone was well rested.
      It’s more legit than Curry’s 2015 title or Kawhi’s 2019 title. It’s more legit than the Lakers winning in 1988 when Isiah suffered a high ankle sprain.

    I can't even lie as a celtics fan watching that game lebron still amazed me. The fact that he only scored 60 points once but is about to be the leading scorer of all time is also impressive. Since he does everything else. I know kareem played in a more strict era but if lebron wins another title then i really believe he's the goat.

      Lebron got screwed a lot by incompetent teammates who didn’t hit the big shots. Kyle Korver in game 3 of the 2017 Finals. George Hill missing FTs in game 1 of the 2018 Finals. Danny Green missing the 3 to win the title in game 5 of the 2020 Finals.

    People love to add asterisks to lebrons career but why not to his finals loses? He carried a bunch of bums in 07, then again in 2015 without love and Kyrie, and then he got over powered by the durant warriors. Is that his fault? Swap MJ into those scenarios, would the result have been any different? These debates are just idiotic.

      The only finals that you could argue would be the Mavs series, but even that's debatable because outside of Wade, Bosh, and LeBron that Heat roster was sad. Those Mavericks were the deepest team in the playoffs that year and swept Kobe's Lakers who were coming off of a championship run.

    Lebron doesnt go out there trying to score a lot of points every night. However, if you told a player I need you to score 40 or 50 points tonight, there arent 5 guys im taking over Lebron all time to accomplish that task. One of the greatest scorers ever no doubt

      @@kentayali I agree. I don't think I would even depend on Shaq and Kobe for that. They would come up with 35 or 37 points on any given night no problem. But if you want a guy to go and score 50, right now, give the ball to Jordan, wilt, or lebron. Tell them to do nothing but score, don't pass, don't rebound, don't defend, and they will drop 50 maybe even 60, casually

      People say longevity as if it is a negative thing. Lebron’s scoring average for his career is 27 ppg after 20 seasons. MJ’s career scoring average was 32 ppg when he retired with Chicago. Those two Wizards season dropped his scoring average 2 whole points down to 30 ppg. Imagine if MJ played 20 seasons, how far his scoring average would have fallen.

    Let talk about bird the man avg 15 points in his first final on 41% maxwell won that Fmvp that was in 1981, his avg from the season dropped in the playoff in 82,83 and lost each yrs with 63 and 54 wins both regular season, 84 great post season they win, 85 PPg, reb,ast dropped again in the final and they lost but won 63 games that season, 86 best yrs they won again. in 87 great playoffs run but again PPg, Reb, ast dropped in the final and they lost. in 88 shots 40-114 that 35% against the piston and guess what they lost and 89 get injured in 90,91,92 nothing happened. Don't let some of these old head make you believe great players in the past didn't came small when it counted!

    I’m a huge LeBron fan, he’s my GOAT, but I’m glad you pointed out him missing the Nets game. I spent a lot of money to go see him, made personal sacrifices to actually go to the game, just for him to take the night off. I literally told myself “he has Sunday off, it’s not a back to back, he should be playing.” I didn’t give as much thought of him loving MSG because it was a back to back smh.

    As a Yankee fan and someone who grew up watching Mike and Mad Dog on WFAN and YESNetwork. This is cool to see Francesa on ESPN with Christopher Russo. Since Mad Dog is on MLB Network High Heat and hrs been on ESPN First Take with Stephen A for a while.
    There was reports that Mike and Chris were going to bring back Mike and Mad Dog again since the show split. Chris left originally, and Mike took over the show. Then Mike left after a decade with the show by himself and went on to podcasting.
    I met Chris many years ago at Javits Crnter in NY when he was hosting a show on SiriusXM Radio when the convention was hosting the NY International Auto Show and got a photo meet with him. He is the nicest person I have met.
    ESPN gotta bring Mike Francesa more often on First Take with Chris and Stephen A.
