EMDRC Monthly Meeting - July 2022 - Sondehub

At the EMDRC Monthly Meeting on July 1, 2022 Michaela Wheeler VK3FUR and Mark Jessop VK5QI gave a presentation about radiosonde hunting, amateur high altitude balloons, and the Sondehub data platform that provides tracking, flight path predictions, and full sensor data from radiosondes and amateur balloons.
The presentation is jam-packed with information about radio sondes, their design, use, capture, and re-use; how to receive tracking information and set up mobile chasing; the history, evolution, and current capabilities of Sondehub; and an introduction to hacking and repurposing commercial radiosonde payloads.
