So I’ve been 100% C&P for a few years, they owed me back pay for SMCK since 2015, we applied for aid and attendance, so my wife’s stayed home to take care of me since 2015 she was 19 at the time and I just got retired. We have the paperwork and all that and they denied us and approved homebound. They always go for low hanging fruit, always appeal! My VSO said that was crazy and appealed it for me, I hope we get the extra $. Aid and attendance can range from 400$ more than housebound to a few thousand from what I understand but there’s no number anywhere online.
Check in once you get an update. I’m looking to apply for A&A in the near future and would like to hear your appeal outcome.

My husband has End Stage Alzheimer’s , Heart Disease , Kidney problems
I do everything ! I shower him , dress him , drive him to Dr Apts , and mange the house and finances etc

Yes I Filed for Aid and attendance for my 100% disabled brother, he has chronic schizophrenia and He was turned down..

Look im not saying that these guys are "gods" or that they are always right. But I will say that - so far - I've gotten 100% p&t, smc-l and smc-k. So... So far so good. And this is only through these videos.
@Mike Gee Yes. Yes you do. SMC is a benefit given to veterans that require special attention and care due to service connected disabilities. You do not need 100% or 100% P&N to get SMC you obky need to qualify for the proper percentage. And your case because you already have a hundred percent you would qualify for SMC. It all just depends on which SMC you actually qualify for.

They left out a couple of biggies such as SMC based on statutory and housebound status.
Yep, I have the housebound SMC on top of 100% P&T. I was given the housebound portion, but I’m afraid to ask anything in case they want to reduce me. At P&T they won’t reduce you unless you open your self up by asking.

The real battle and enemy is the VA! Try getting a claim in your favor...you'll get after 7 or 8 years of troubles and BS from the VA.
Yrp the VA goal is to get you to give up.

I learned the hard way the folks at VA benefits and compensation are not your friends. I had to fight hard for mine. I was at 30% for years and now at 70% and years of back pay they owed me for their clerical error. You need a DAV or VFW rep. If that fails, then go to that VA Claims insider Brian Reese. But they charge you some $390 for the exam, then it’s filed. If approved, you owe them a percentage of the disability income for their services the first year.

11:00 am. How to u convert smc s housebound criteria to aid and attendance smc L . There is difference in money. I have caregiver wife that was approved to take care of me she takes care of me on everything except money. VA approved me smc without applying but I believe aid and attendance is more appropriate. What is your take?

Yes you are fine to work as long as you aren’t TDIU, even TDIU you can work but can’t make more than the poverty level of your state
Is a veteran drawing 80% but being paid at 100% due to unemployability considered 100% disabled?
Yes you are!! I know because I am also 80% but have unemployability and it states on the va form .

You did not say how much is the aid and attendance I was give this but it was entitled sent back for remand but all my issues were entitled now, I do not know how long I need to wait for aid and attendance I really need it receiving perm nerve damage from VA surgery removing my prostate cancer . I'm lost over the remand
Hello, I am not currently rated, but in the process.
2 Documented injuries to the same body part while in service. Recently, a non service injury to the same body part resulted in surgery, and more loss of motion. X-rays at the time of injury stated OA was present. Can I still receive a rating for OA, since range and motion issue is cloudy?

I. Don't have a spouse to ask I can't cook clean I have no furniture I've fallen in and out of the shower I'm not incompetent I'm in extremely severe pain and I have a hard time being around people I can't hardly use my left arm and leg but my attorneys got me my disability and now there done

What do you mean by multiple rating for SMC-L?
For Instance: I have severe migraines, that do not allow me to drive. I know I qualify for SMC-L for that one.
I have peripheral neuropathy on both of my hands and it's very hard for me to keep grasp of things like cups and plates and often times drop my food because I loose all feeling in my arms. So I know I qualify for SMC-L for that one.
I also have Radiculopathy of both legs and they cause severe numbness on both legs making it difficult to walk. So I know that also allows me to qualify for SMC-L.
So, what do you mean when you say "you can have multiple ratings for SMC-L? I was told by my VSO that you can only have SMC-L for one issue or body part. That there is no stacking.

Don't be afraid, if you have supporting documents, you are fine.

I just spoke with someone from hill and pontoon day. And he said to talk to a VSO. Its seems hill and ponton dose not deal with SMC TBI claims. Or that's what I was told I think. I mean I got a TBI so I sort of forget stuff. But I think you need to call a VSO ASAP. Look up COmbat craig, he tends to know people that can help. GOod luck bro and sorry about the tumor. But I think the TBI if its like when you got hurt while you were on duty is what they are talking about.

I've been 100% for a few years, was awarded Aid and Attendance and SMC- L last year.
This past week I was awarded 60% for Meniere's disease, shouldn't that have moved me to SMC-L1 since Meniere's disease is now a separate condition from all other conditions of the ear?

I was wondering if aide and attendance can increase or can I get care taker compensation? My wife is 100% total and perm. And I do get aide and attendance but it is very low amount. I can only work part time because I have be available for her, more days than not.

OK guys a clear moment. How do i file clams when i can't overcome brain damage? my mind isn't able to stay on topic and was married months 9 before i retired. Service 1984 to 2004 hon. and have been to the wars and at camp Lejune from 1984 to 1989 where then me and 1 x lived Inchon st tarawa terrace. I have abi and had someone do a first claim that was denied in 2009 . i had social security then and at 60 per they appoint care giver with dining me 100/ now I'm screwed my mind and English written and verbal. I appointed Spouce as my pow and guardian in 08 to avoid va taking my money motor skills seizures gait memory and i cant color and stay in lines. I should be paid but i am paid some not what i rate. smc i draw but s

I make slightly more than the max 100% disability I have no dependents and I’m not married. Does this mean I have smc . I don’t see this on the paper work. Where should I look ?
