When I'm tired and don't feel like tidying up, I tell myself: doing it is a gift that tomorrow me will be thankfull for. That gives me the push I need.
Dear Mel, I can’t thank you enough not only for being my couch and motivator but also for being my English teacher. Yes, I listen to your podcasts to improve my listening and speaking skills (English isn’t my first language obviously). You and your guests give nonnative English speakers a ton of opportunities to enjoy different topics and accents too. Appreciate you, love you!
The same is for me
Yes, this is just what I needed to listen to. I am so guilty of letting my phone/ social media rob me of time. I was cleaning the house while listening.
I'm starting this tonight. Thank you, Mel.
hi mel you are so right as i start getting my night time rountine from 8pm and i crawl into bed at 9 pm to go to sleep for 930 to wake up between 6 and 615 to wash take medication take family dog for his first walk then family time get ups ... im only 11 minutes in on the podcast and lm nodding yes yes your so right ... since i started to do this life balance is better ... take care victoria england
i am literally soooo addicted to your voice and i have been listening to your podcasts every single night and i am not able to sleep without hearing to your podcasts. Help😭..
i call my evening clean up a 'closing shift' and set my timer for ten minutes (sometimes even five!)
Your an inspiration because I'm like you want me to do what now on top of everything else but I'm so glad you got this pray I do
Yes, Mel I would love to know about the dangers of having a phone on your nightstand. I look forward to that episode.
I agree Mel the phone light is a dangerous thing. Ideally switch it off 2 hours before bed, 6pm would be a great time a great thing to dob But for some reason we let our phones rule our day! 😮 thanks Mel ❤
Thank you, Mel!
Thank you Mel🤩Genuinely appreciate all of your content; today i will start this👊
Sending 💙 from New Zealand
Glad I listened to this great podcast. So timely as I'm in the process of getting into a new routine for the successful future me.
Love you Mel❤❤❤love your videos are exellent 😂🙏😇
It’s so simple yet it takes commitment to the process. Pick a routine & stick to it❤
Powerful guidelines thank you Mel!

This was good sound advice!💚🍃
Thanks Mel love you ❤
Hello Mel from Munich ❤
Love all these tips!!!❤❤❤
Alarm rings, get your f ing ass out of bed, and somedays it's hard. I don't give a shit! Lol!!!! Love it. Amazing. Ding ding ding your life is here. Colour me subscribed. ❤
“Make your bed!” , reminds me of Jordan Peterson’s rule “Clean your room” 😂
I can relate to the keys 😂
I believe you have a point here, that themodern day parent who works alot, haschildren to see to, may not get alot of support, but anyway is juggling so much, that being on their phone with someone perhaps at the wrong time, is interfering witha healthy routine. And havevto be honest with yourself to put yr phone away and say noto yourself. ❤
Watching this video feeling pretty proud of myself: Wake-up time 6am: check. Clean up the mess after dinner: check. Set yourself up for the morning: check (making schoollunch for my kid in the evening) Take five minutes for yourself; I’m watching this video…On my phone while I’m in bed at 11pm FAIL! 🤣
No seriously, I do want to put my phone outside the bedroom. But this phone is also the line for emergency’s for my parents.
How can I fix that.
This for me as well. Also need my phone for my guided sleep meditation. Everything else checks out.
Will power
@@koalaed so when a phone is an emergency line for my parents with health issues, all it takes is will power to drop that emergency line? 🤦♀️
@@Art_by_Nicole I meant willpower not to Google or watch things on it whilst it’s next to you. I sleep with mine next to my head and don’t touch it (I set 30mins of meditation music on it as I fall asleep). I too, have it next to me for emergencies. Blessings to you ✨
@@koalaed ah okay, now I see what you mean. You are absolutely right. I use to read a book in bed before falling asleep Since I’ve been burnout I can’t read anymore. I tried listening to podcasts and/or meditation but it has been making me feel restless. So instead of all that I’ve learned the habit to watch Youtubd)
When i head to bed, i snuggly in & scroll through social Media then i pass out
❤❤❤
My husband and I have 2 totally different sleep patterns 😫😫😫
❤
I hot rid of my hamster, Facebook, some unessential friends and the non vital activities so I can get a decent amount of sleep every night. Single mother here. And prioritising is essential to have a happy life
Or we been up all night and we need to Hear what your saying
But mel what if im like cool bed time is like 4am and i can get to 6 hours praise god but im 4.5 hours and good and i got no real schedule and i need to be starting my day at 4am actually 3am
Hahahahahaha 6AM is early? Ummmmm my morning requires a 4:30 AM wake up time. Which means being asleep at 8:30pm. At age 62 I work 2 jobs to make ends meet. Although i agree COMPLETELYwith these ideals but not everyone has the luxury
❤❤❤
