Ok, never mind. In the Remastered, it seems that EA Games removed three cars and adjusted engine sounds for some, extracted the files of the sounds and slotted it in to be more accurate.

damn music in this game is so good, it makes this game fell less like a fancy car race game and much more like a serious intense battle betwen police and racers

That game is basically a Burnout with licensed cars.
But with less car destruction, Car Weapons, police, and with a kickass soundtrack. It's a good addition to the Need for speed series ☺☺especially Rivals

What exacly are those "emergency situations"? There are just 2 cars which 1 is burning and 2 tries to escape but we stops him.
The Rapid Response events are supposed to test your response time so in other words the Rapid Response events are police training exercises.
