Hey everyone, my name is Octorious and in this PSN Discord guide, I'll be showing you how to connect PS5 with Discord, and how to connect PS4 with Discord to show your game activity on Discord, just like it would display when playing a PC game. Thus, to do this for all platforms, I will be showing you how to connect PSN with Discord. Unfortunately, Discord on PS5 and PS4 is only available through a browser, so to connect PS5 and Discord or to connect PS4 and Discord, it is easier to be done through a mobile device or computer. That said, you can still use the browser on a console. So, can you connect PS5 to Discord? YES, the new PS5 update for this is great! Only thing I wanted was a easy way to join servers of certain games to play with people online like the community tab on PS4. I don’t want to show off what damn game I’m playing on discord. Sony dropped the ball on this one.

It's unclear at the moment. There are workarounds though, and I'll have a video up soon of this unofficial solution.

If it doesn't show up on your profile, go to settings>privacy and change your activity status to everyone on your ps4/ps5 then it should display on your profile cuz it worked for me

Please note that in the PSN privacy settings, your visibility "PSN ONLINE STATUS" and "In PRODUCTION" must be set to "ANYONE" in order for your status to be visible on Discord.

Hello, I did everything to connect it to my discord and also did what the pinned comment says but it still doesn't display what I'm playing on my discord account. Am I missing something?
It isn't a hidden game you are playing is it? And you appearing online on both discord and ps? Try restarting the console and discord if so.

Same here. I've restarted both PS4 and Discord at least 7 times, no hidden game, all activity set to public, show status online... I have no idea what else to do.
I found out what was wrong with mine!
I had to go to the profile on my PS4 > Change privacy settings > Personal info | Messages > Online status and currently playing and set that to public!
I'm physically unable to do this as there isn't any Playstation icon on connections, and Google isn't helping at all as every single page assumes the logo is there for me to link but it isnt

I conectet everything and it worked, but I startet multiple games to test it. Black Ops 3, R6 S and YuGiOh Master Duels and it didn't show up on Discord.
U should be online if u want the games show up!
Hi IrohTheDragonOfTheWest! 👋 Assuming you are not appearing offline on either PlayStation or Discord, and have followed everything else in the video, doing the following should work:
Navigate to your PSN Privacy settings (same place as where you set hidden games, shown in the video), and look for "Who can see your online status and what you're currently playing".
You then want to make sure that this is set to "Anyone".
Then, restart Discord, restart your PlayStation, open a game and everything should work.👍

It may just be it is not showing up for you; I'm seeing this is the case with some people. If the account is connected to your profile though, then it should be sharing assuming you are online on both. May just be a case of waiting for the rollout to fully complete :) Could always try a restart of both discord and the console.

Do they leave the library after the subscription ends? Just curious.
No, they'll still be there. However, they will become "locked" if you don't have a Plus subscription anymore. Once you sign back up though, they'll unlock again. It works the same as your monthly games :)
So if your on ps4 can you like call then through dc and they can pick up from it

Does my friend have to use his phone for a mic or can he somehow get gamechat audio from his ps5 as well as discord chat audio?
Only for game activity. You can't join a discord chat or anything from your playstation or vice versa. They have plans for making it so by the end of the year tho

@ I did yes, forgive me I can’t remember the actual name of what I changed and I don’t have access to my PS right now, but it was in settings somewhere. I went through everything and made sure it was on public/ anyone, I previously had the option selected as “friends only” which didn’t allow it to show on DC

What do you do if the PlayStation app is not popping up on mobile
Can anyone help me? For some reason, whenever someone joins my server they're not there. This happened 3 times, someone joined but I don't see them on my members. I thought they left, another person joined but again, I don't see them at my members. Then the 3rd person joined, but aaand again.. I couldn't see them at my members list
