They should release a system software update for the Bluetooth so we can use any Bluetooth headphones or Bluetooth speaker they did that with the Nintendo switch :)
Yeah, it's not that hard to figure out why they don't issue an update. They want you to buy their headset or headsets that are licensed by Sony for playstation. I don't like it either but it's easy to understand

well, it IS impossible unless you use an EXTERNAL device like that adapter. It grosses me out not being able to connect your airpods to a 800 dollar console. Even the SWITCH can. smh
I attempted to connect my ghostek so drop 2.0 wireless head phones, it didn't connect. It did connect to my Blue tooth BW speaker and wireless ear bud. Yet wouldn't connect to my so drop 2.0 headphones.
If they can bluetooth to a phone and the phone classes them as an audio device and not another sort of Bluetooth device, then I don't see any reason as to why they wouldn't be able to connect to the PS5.
I went and bought a dongle today, but mine turned out to have no pairing button. So I found out I cannot connect earbuds. I plugged it into the laptop and paired them there using windows. Then plugged it back into PS4. But it doesn't show up in the Devices and I cannot switch sound to it. I figure out it's the wrong dongle, but how the heck am I supposed to know which dongle I need?

I tried it with my PS5. Wanted to connect play station with JBL speakers through Bluetooth. Tried using a different (cheaper) USB Bluetooth connector but that did not work. Had to use this one. Idk why but this Bluetooth connector worked. No need to change anything in accessories settings. Just both devices in pairing mode and it's connected automatically. The experience may help someone

I already know that the one I have in mind isn't compatible with the PS5 unless I decide to connect it with a cable but man, I want a wireless headset... So, now my question: Do I have to use the mic adapter thing thats sent with the usb adapter in order to talk to my friends? Or will the mic on my headset work if I connect it via this method? I’m using the Bose 700’s with my ps5. Sounds great! (using the low lat Skull & Co usb c wireless adapter) But no, it won’t use the mic on the headset, but rather default to the Controller Mic.
The BT-W3 doens't connect to everything. It connected to my Sony wf-c500 earbuds no problem, but won't connect to my Cowin se7 headphones even though they use the SBC codec. Bit of a disappointment.
This is nothing to do with you but £29 for a small USB plastic thing just feels like robbery to me. Could get a semi decent headset for that much or simple plug in in-ear earphones.
I bought this to pair to my turtle beach stealth 700’s and it connected the first time around, the second time I booted up my PS5 it worked again but later on that day my headset would just not connect to it regardless how many times I tried it, it just blinks in blue as if it’s in pairing but never connects to the headset
So my cat pulled out the bluetooth transmitter for my headset. Would this work as a replacement. Bc the headset has bluetooth setting to connect to phones but doesn't work directly through the ps5s bluetooth setting.
You can with the Skull & Co usb c wireless adapter. I use with my Bose headphones and Apple AirPods. You can pair both and listen to both at the same time.
The issue with regular bluetooth dongles is you have no way to initiate the connection via the PS5 OS. The sort of dongle used in the video just finds the audio device and connects automatiaclly with no UI needed.

Recently just got a avantree dongle for my ps5 and it sounds terrible... it sounds muffled and sound like lim underwater. I tried it on my pc and it sound crystal clear so i know it cant be the dongle or my wireless headser fault. I turned off 3d audio and it does nothing.
I literally did all this I got it connected and I also got transmitter working even though I hear a echo of my voice I still can’t seem to chat in game even the micro phone is working can you please help
Technically yes, but I'd recommend using the dongle when using it with the PS5 as that will support some features from the headset that standard bluetooth won't necessarily allow. You're better off contacting where you bought the headset from or Sony themselves, and asking if you can purchase a replacement dongle with instructions for pairing it to the new headset. It might end up being a case of you having to send the headset off to them and they send it you back with a working dongle.

Yes it should do! Anything that supports bluetooth will work. Make sure you have activated 'pairing mode' on the Raycon buds and that they aren't just bluetoothing to your phone or something when you turn them on.
DONT DO THIS I HAVE A BETTER SOLUTION every TV now a days have Bluetooth available just connect your wireless headphones to your TV and in ps5 go into settings and put audio output to TV and for microphone set audio input to controller as ps5 controller has a mic built in and you are done No dongles everything works
When the earbuds are connected, theres audio, but no mic, when the adapter mic is plugged into the ps5 controller, the audio on the earbuds goes away. do you know why this is?

I think it's a little upsetting I have an 600$ console and 200 earbuds and I still have to buy something to get them to work together. Total scam

Every Bluetooth adapter I’ve tried for my airPods to ps5 produces very quite sound. Hasn’t been good
