I hate synthetic fragrances, and so does my skin. If it’s a fragrance from an ingredient that’s actually doing something, then I don’t mind. There are certain eo’s that irritate my skin, like peppermint. That’s always a red flag for me.
I feel like the Glow Tonic has helped with all these little “red/acne bumps” I have! At first I didn’t think I liked it, but now I do! I love the Retinal toner too, I think it’s a great starter for people who haven’t used it, like you said! I still mix a little of it with my moisturizer because my skin is sensitive and it works great!
Thats what i started with i also use the rose toner..like that also i bought..pacifica crystal wipes and i actually made me break out alot back to the glow tonic..
The Glow Mud Cleanser feels heavenly, smells heavenly, makes my skin feel, well, heavenly! I use the Rose Oil Blend at night (it's too oily for me to use during the day) and I definitely feel a difference. The Glow Tonic lives up to it's reputation
From working with skincare companies, they legally have to put on the packaging that there’s fragrance whether it’s a natural fragrance or added. Obviously essential oils usually do mean that the fragrance was added, but if fragrance is more towards the bottom of the ingredients list then it’s more likely to be a natural scent that comes from another ingredient on the list. Just some food for thought :)
Pixi has so much potential but they add fragrance and essential oils to way too many products which is a hard pass for me. Then they have retinol and Vit C in unknown percentages and PH in clear packaging.
Emilia Hazell - Smith I would go with mandelic acid over glycolic acid for sensitive skin! By Wishtrend Mandelic Prep Water 5% and Stratia Skin Mandelic Acid 10% are both great and Stratia in general is good for dry sensitive skin. For Vit C, avoid ascorbic acid and look for tetrahexydecyl ascorbate instead.
You need to remember that these are skin tonics, they are not ment to give you any amazing benefits, the amount of active ingredients in the tonics are bearly there, just nice to use if your into toners before you apply your full routine x
Susan Parnell why would I use something that doesn’t benefit my skin though? I don’t expect a toner to have the same % of active ingredients as a serum but I do expect it to be well formulated. And if a brand is going to ad retinol or Vit C then it needs to do something otherwise why add it? There are so many great toners that are actually cheaper per oz than Pixi with effective ingredients.
The only product I tried is the Milky Toner but I really love it. It is really gentle and hydrating (at least it is hydrating enough for me, I don't know about others). I think it ks a good product to begin with 😉
I am OBSESSED with Pixi and usually never cared for skincare that much. Nearly everything I used has impressed me :) here are my 2 cents Rose Caviar essence - first thing I bought and now repurchasing. It really helps with hydration especially in the winter. Glow toner - personally I wasnt crazy about the smell but Im gonna try it again because it’s reviews. I find the Rose toner a lot calmer for my rosacea (not that the glow toner made it react). Rose Flash Balm - bought a trial size and now a full size. GIRLS. I saw a difference overnight!!!!!!! Brighter glowy skin I even got my mom to be hooked on it lol Jasmine Oil blend - I first used it last night and tbh you may wanna pass. I regret buying it because if the OVERBEARING scent. Bleh but I do intend on finishing it cause that shet aint cheap Peel and Polish - I cant say enough good things about this. It works in 2 minutes and flips dull skin on upside down AND?? didnt trigger an ounce of redness!! Im in love Hydrating milky serum - mixed feelings. Upon application it burns my skin a little but does deliver on glowy and supple skin. Again this may just be my sensitive skin.
A. Hellion I have combination oily and sensitive skin, and I love the Collagen & Retinol Serum. Use it two times a day after cleanser, and face water, before moisturizer.
I would also love to see more fragrance-free products. I used a bottle of the Glow Tonic, but instead of rebuying, I bought the 7% glycolic toner from The Ordinary, which is a lot cheaper and fragrance-free. I did just buy a bottle of the Rose Glow Mist, though. I go makeup-free or makeup-minimal many days, and this gives a nice glow to my skin. Hopefully the mister will keep working well.
Wow! Thank you for reviewing all of these Pixi Products. I bought quite a few products from the Rose Infused line and have been enjoying them. Here's what I've used so far: 1. Rose Cream Cleanser - Love it! 2. Rose Tonic - Meh. I don't love it but don't hate it either, so I'm neutral. 3. Rose Caviar Essence - Surprisingly, I do like it quite a bit, especially after rubbing my make up off because it feels nice and cool. 4. Rose Flash Balm - I prefer this on my hands and patchy dry spots on my body as opposed to my face. 5. Rose Ceramide Cream - Love it! 6. Rose Oil Blend - I do not have it but want to try it. It seems to have very similar ingredients compared to e.l.f.'s Nourishing Facial Oil which I absolutely love. Also, when I run out of my Neutrogena Ultra Light Cleaning Oil, I definitely want to try the Caroline Hirons Double Cleanse next; although I've heard people say they would prefer that as two separate products, guessing some people use up one side before the other.

Trust me, I don't like being overwhelmed by them, bit in certain circumstances a little fragrance may not hurt most, as some ingredients can give off an unpleasant odor. Definitely a great question though.
I’ve been using the Overnight Glow Serum for about a week. It has glycolic acid and doesn’t have fragrance. My skin is really smooth and looks hydrated. I love it. 💖
I use Pixi skincare daily, and I was really surprised to hear you didn't like the glow tonic cleansing gel and the rose essence, specifically. These are 2 of my favorite products! The cleansing gel is legitimately my favorite face wash I've ever used (and I've tried a lot) and the rose essence is perfect for my skin, it gives me a super light hydration without making me greasy. The only thing I can guess of why they work so differently for us is because I have oily, acne-prone skin so they might just be better for that.
I have been using grow tonic and rose grow mist for 3 weeks, oh my gosh, my skin looks so clean and hydrate. I got a lots of compliments. Before then my skin was so dry and a lots of break out.
the rose oil blend has worked amazingly for me!! but i have extremely dry skin so heavier face oils/moisturizers at night work best for me followed by lighter/quick absorbing moisture in the morning 💕 i also really love the hydrating milky mist before and after makeup! really want to try that double cleanser tho
Great, detailed info. I would really like to try more of Pixi’s skincare. The Rose Cream Cleanser, one that I’ve been wanting to try, sounds like it would suit my dry skin well. The Double Cleanse and Mud Cleanser as well. When something’s called a “vitamin c” serum or a “retinol” serum, I agree that the percentages should be listed. I’ve always hated that, lol. Thank you for admitting that despite the fragrance in Pixi products, they do actually work for you!! I unfollowed Dr. Dray because as much as I appreciate her no-bullshit reviews, I won't write off a product just because it has fragrance :-)
@@rizwan1992100 Dr. Dray is a dermatologist with a RUclips channel - and from a dermatological standpoint she's against fragrance in skin care products, which I understand. I just love happen to love skincare that works AND smells good :-)
I can't watch Dr. Drey I don't agree with everything she says & it doesn't mean because she a dermatologist then she is right. I know many people like her but I pass...she is too much from Sun screen to evething else...
I honestly hate her videos. Anytime I've watched any of them, I just sit there judging her skin and wondering how someone who's a dermatologist doesn't look better.
I'm 36 and I only wear makeup for special occasions. Even then, I don't always do an all out makeup look. My skin is like baby skin. It's really sensitive and dries out easily so I've never gotten into skin care. Between fragrances and alcohol, almost everything harms more than helps. Glow Tonic lives up to the hype but it's too aggressive for me to use daily. I tried Glow Serum and it's really irritating to my skin. It was my first serum product. I don't know what next direction to try with serums. The Rose Cream Cleanser is nice and light. I use it twice a day. And I've just started with the Rose Ceramide Cream. I have the Milky Mist but it's not a standout for me. My absolute fave is the In-Shower Steam Facial. The plump feeling is amazing. Every 3 days, I use it in the shower. I subscribed because your presentation is very approachable. I can't afford and don't want to be super into skin care but I still like to identify my options.
I just picked up the Glow Peel Pads...I think its 20% glycolic, and you rinse it off with cool water after 2 minutes. I've only used it 3 times, haven't experienced any peeling or redness so that's a plus and it does give a nice glow after using! I'm so tempted to leave it on longer and see what happens lol
I love the Glow Tonic Serum. I use it once or twice a week and I top it with Beauty Sleep Cream. A winning combination! As for the clogged dispenser on the sunscreen - just run it under hot water and it should unclog it. I've had to do that with many sprays.
The fragrance in the rose ceramide cream was nauseating to me. Pixi uses too much fragrance. Edit: but I do love the glow mud cleanser and the retinol serum.
I know this is an older video, but I LOVE the Glow spray! I love the way it sets my makeup, it makes any powdery texture and my highlighters just MELT into my skin. Their tonics are amazing, but the entire rose line I could completely have gone without. Pretty unnecessary, most of the products and the smells. But if anyone sees this by chance, and is thinking about trying Pixi, try the tonics and the glow spray to set your makeup and bounce it out with a beauty blender. ❤
I have oily skin and I really enjoyed the Rose Essence! I treat more like a serum. I will have to agree with you on the Rose Oil on being too heavy. Pixi is one of my favorite brands. Thank you for making this video!

I love the pixi milky hydrating serum. I just ran out this morning. Definitely repurchasing! The rose caviar essence did nothing for me either. I’m definitely going to check out the new retinol and fit c lines at target tomorrow. Oh, the rose flash balm is good for quick hydrating mask!

I love the sun mist. I use it under my makeup. With any makeup product you aren’t going to get the actual spf they say is in there unless you put on a ton of product. So I layer my spf products to make sure I’m covered. My moisturizer has spf, then I apply the sun mist. Then I either use a cc cream with spf of foundation with spf, depends on what I’m doing that day. I love all their toners. I use them all. I use the rose cream cleanser and the rose toner in the morning for a light washing, cuz all my heavy duty washing is done the night before. My skin feels so soft and moisturized and ready for the day. Loved this video and your review of all these products

Thank you for this. I got a mini of the glow tonic in a gift with purchase that I kept putting off to try because I didnt realize it was a peely type of toner. I just assumed it was just a regular toner that left a glowy finish. This review made me want to try what I already have. If I love it, I will purchase the full size! Thanks for the reviews. I’ve been using the vitamin c remedy mask and the blue clarity tonic. Here in the U.K. Boots have 3 for 2 at the moment. I won’t buy anything with Hirons name on so I don’t buy products which she has collaborated on.

Same on the rose essence- just didn’t see or feel any results:( Any recommendation for an affordable essence alternative? Alcohol is often used to make you feel that the product dries faster. It' common in suncreen. I do not live in the us but I'll like to try pixi, seems a good brand overall.

What do you think about the Pacifica line?? It is supposed to be a “clean-ish” line and they have quite a selection of their products at target. I personally am curious and would appreciate at video on that!!!!!
Their packaging always pulls me in! I think a lot of their products are heavily fragranced from what I remember. But I’ve tried their Dreamy Youth (moisturizer with peptides) that I really liked 👍🏻 Great idea for a vid!
TheHonestBeautyReview I agree, and I do try to stay clear of things with fragrances for the most part I have sensitive skin and don’t need any irritants. Their packaging does always look so cute! I am usually nervous to try things from the line because while I’m intrigued (same with pixi) I am not sure what’s worth it what’s not and how it will be on my skin I know they carry make up etc too it would be interesting to see what you think! I like drunk elephant, origins, tatcha, and my favorite cleanser ever is by boscia so I like my products clean but it is always great when you can find a drug store hidden gem out there you never know!
Samantha Reiner I'm fairly certain I tried the Sea Foam one... I have sensistive, oily rosacea skin and my face did NOT like it. I watch people saying it's great. Others say they don't like it. Personally, I'm not a fan... I just recently tried the pixi milky mist. LOVE it. Doesn't irritate me at all. (Really like the Tatcha dewy skin cream) If you want some sensistive skin recommends, Una (RUclipsr)has some nice tips.
Quick question! I bought the rose cream cleanser... is yours a beige color, almost like an oatmeal color? I expected it to maybe be light pink or white. The scent is super faint and almost not there.
I bought glow tonic after all the hype online. On my skin it didn't give much results (I used it like 2 months), and I couldn't continue anymore. The fragrance is so overwhelming, when I just think about it now, I feel sick. I almost purchased their retinol serum, but it doesn't give any percentages. Such an active ingredients must have information about the concentration. I like pixis conception, but fragrance is too much.
nice video but the double cleanser is not for use just one side, when you use al oil cleaner you ALWAYS have to clean it later in order to put the toner and the rest of products, is a common mistake i always see... the oil balms and oil cleansers need to be removed in order to continue eith your routine, I think that why you feel the other side of the cleaser doesn't work.

Christian Bennett hard to say without testing but the serum looks pretty promising with ferulic and vitamin e. The ascorbic acid percentage isn’t listed, but it’s second on the ingredient list. And I’m having luck now with the Tarte Vit c serum (percentage non disclosed). I’d be curious to try it 👌🏻
I made the mistake of getting the Retinol tonic after I had been using the SR Luna oil for months. I didn't notice anything, definitely for newbies. Also very drying. This year I fell out of love with the Pixi Glow Tonic. Idk it just doesn't cut it for me anymore. I had been using it for almost 4 years. Maybe my skin out grew it?
HK You should always alternate between 2 products because if you only use the same one over time, you can develop allergies as well as resistance so it may not work anymore...this does not only go for skincare but also hair products. I’m a certified MUA and hairdresser so I should know. I just started using Pixi, and so far Iove it. I use the Glow Tonic in the morning, and the Retinol & Jasmine at night, along with the Collagen & Retinol Serum before moisturizer. I also use two different moisturizer, one in the morning and a different one at night.
I use the glow mist as a makeup primer and it works amazing! It makes my foundation just glide on top of it, but I agree that it’s too much on top of makeup
Sweta Rana Yes! I use the glow tonic in the morning, and the Retinol at night. They say you can use them both in the morning and night. Especially the Retinol one should be used at night as it has a time release, and also because the retinol isn’t to high of a percentage they say, as you can also see on the ingredients list, but make sure you use sunscreen with a high SPF as retinol makes your skin sensitive to sun. Since it’s not so strong it’s a great introduction for those who wants to try retinol.
I'm curious about the milky tonic. I have dry/mature skin so I prefer toners be hydrating. Looks like everyone in the comments is using the mist though!

Geranium in the rose oil isn't for fragrance it's anti inflammatory same with orange peel
the rose oil blend has worked amazingly for me!! but i have extremely dry skin so heavier face oils/moisturizers at night work best for me followed by lighter/quick absorbing moisture in the morning 💕 i also really love the hydrating milky mist before and after makeup! really want to try that double cleanser tho
Great, detailed info. I would really like to try more of Pixi’s skincare. The Rose Cream Cleanser, one that I’ve been wanting to try, sounds like it would suit my dry skin well. The Double Cleanse and Mud Cleanser as well.
When something’s called a “vitamin c” serum or a “retinol” serum, I agree that the percentages should be listed. I’ve always hated that, lol.

I'm 36 and I only wear makeup for special occasions. Even then, I don't always do an all out makeup look. My skin is like baby skin. It's really sensitive and dries out easily so I've never gotten into skin care. Between fragrances and alcohol, almost everything harms more than helps. Glow Tonic lives up to the hype but it's too aggressive for me to use daily. I tried Glow Serum and it's really irritating to my skin. It was my first serum product. I don't know what next direction to try with serums. The Rose Cream Cleanser is nice and light. I use it twice a day. And I've just started with the Rose Ceramide Cream. I have the Milky Mist but it's not a standout for me. My absolute fave is the In-Shower Steam Facial. The plump feeling is amazing. Every 3 days, I use it in the shower. I subscribed because your presentation is very approachable. I can't afford and don't want to be super into skin care but I still like to identify my options.
I just picked up the Glow Peel Pads...I think its 20% glycolic, and you rinse it off with cool water after 2 minutes. I've only used it 3 times, haven't experienced any peeling or redness so that's a plus and it does give a nice glow after using! I'm so tempted to leave it on longer and see what happens lol

I love the Glow Tonic Serum. I use it once or twice a week and I top it with Beauty Sleep Cream. A winning combination! As for the clogged dispenser on the sunscreen - just run it under hot water and it should unclog it. I've had to do that with many sprays.
The fragrance in the rose ceramide cream was nauseating to me. Pixi uses too much fragrance. Edit: but I do love the glow mud cleanser and the retinol serum.
I know this is an older video, but I LOVE the Glow spray! I love the way it sets my makeup, it makes any powdery texture and my highlighters just MELT into my skin. Their tonics are amazing, but the entire rose line I could completely have gone without. Pretty unnecessary, most of the products and the smells. But if anyone sees this by chance, and is thinking about trying Pixi, try the tonics and the glow spray to set your makeup and bounce it out with a beauty blender. ❤
I have oily skin and I really enjoyed the Rose Essence! I treat more like a serum. I will have to agree with you on the Rose Oil on being too heavy. Pixi is one of my favorite brands. Thank you for making this video!

I love the pixi milky hydrating serum. I just ran out this morning. Definitely repurchasing! The rose caviar essence did nothing for me either. I’m definitely going to check out the new retinol and fit c lines at target tomorrow. Oh, the rose flash balm is good for quick hydrating mask!

The ordinarys glycolic toner is a great dupe for the Pixi toner, 7% glycolic for half the price 😀

I love the sun mist. I use it under my makeup. With any makeup product you aren’t going to get the actual spf they say is in there unless you put on a ton of product. So I layer my spf products to make sure I’m covered. My moisturizer has spf, then I apply the sun mist. Then I either use a cc cream with spf of foundation with spf, depends on what I’m doing that day. I love all their toners. I use them all. I use the rose cream cleanser and the rose toner in the morning for a light washing, cuz all my heavy duty washing is done the night before. My skin feels so soft and moisturized and ready for the day. Loved this video and your review of all these products

I’ve been using the vitamin c remedy mask and the blue clarity tonic. Here in the U.K. Boots have 3 for 2 at the moment. I won’t buy anything with Hirons name on so I don’t buy products which she has collaborated on.

I do find all of the sprayers very hit and miss - when they’re working they are fabulous but when they aren’t they are really bad😟

Their packaging always pulls me in! I think a lot of their products are heavily fragranced from what I remember. But I’ve tried their Dreamy Youth (moisturizer with peptides) that I really liked 👍🏻 Great idea for a vid!
TheHonestBeautyReview I agree, and I do try to stay clear of things with fragrances for the most part I have sensitive skin and don’t need any irritants. Their packaging does always look so cute! I am usually nervous to try things from the line because while I’m intrigued (same with pixi) I am not sure what’s worth it what’s not and how it will be on my skin I know they carry make up etc too it would be interesting to see what you think! I like drunk elephant, origins, tatcha, and my favorite cleanser ever is by boscia so I like my products clean but it is always great when you can find a drug store hidden gem out there you never know!

Quick question! I bought the rose cream cleanser... is yours a beige color, almost like an oatmeal color? I expected it to maybe be light pink or white. The scent is super faint and almost not there.

I bought glow tonic after all the hype online. On my skin it didn't give much results (I used it like 2 months), and I couldn't continue anymore. The fragrance is so overwhelming, when I just think about it now, I feel sick. I almost purchased their retinol serum, but it doesn't give any percentages. Such an active ingredients must have information about the concentration. I like pixis conception, but fragrance is too much.

nice video but the double cleanser is not for use just one side, when you use al oil cleaner you ALWAYS have to clean it later in order to put the toner and the rest of products, is a common mistake i always see... the oil balms and oil cleansers need to be removed in order to continue eith your routine, I think that why you feel the other side of the cleaser doesn't work.

Christian Bennett hard to say without testing but the serum looks pretty promising with ferulic and vitamin e. The ascorbic acid percentage isn’t listed, but it’s second on the ingredient list. And I’m having luck now with the Tarte Vit c serum (percentage non disclosed). I’d be curious to try it 👌🏻
The toner did absolutely nothing for my skin where as the glow tonic my face suffers without it.

I made the mistake of getting the Retinol tonic after I had been using the SR Luna oil for months. I didn't notice anything, definitely for newbies. Also very drying. This year I fell out of love with the Pixi Glow Tonic. Idk it just doesn't cut it for me anymore. I had been using it for almost 4 years. Maybe my skin out grew it?
HK You should always alternate between 2 products because if you only use the same one over time, you can develop allergies as well as resistance so it may not work anymore...this does not only go for skincare but also hair products. I’m a certified MUA and hairdresser so I should know. I just started using Pixi, and so far Iove it. I use the Glow Tonic in the morning, and the Retinol & Jasmine at night, along with the Collagen & Retinol Serum before moisturizer. I also use two different moisturizer, one in the morning and a different one at night.
I use the glow mist as a makeup primer and it works amazing! It makes my foundation just glide on top of it, but I agree that it’s too much on top of makeup
I used a few Pixi makeup products and loved it. Then I tried Glow Tonic and it dried my skin up & burn. It wasn’t for me.

Sweta Rana Yes! I use the glow tonic in the morning, and the Retinol at night. They say you can use them both in the morning and night. Especially the Retinol one should be used at night as it has a time release, and also because the retinol isn’t to high of a percentage they say, as you can also see on the ingredients list, but make sure you use sunscreen with a high SPF as retinol makes your skin sensitive to sun. Since it’s not so strong it’s a great introduction for those who wants to try retinol.

I have mature, dry skin and use the Hydrating Milky Serum. Love it! I also use the Rose Ceramide Cream, which is very nourishing and hydrating.
