      Nah. A super gm shouldn’t really be getting beat by relative nobodies in a park. Even giving 3 min odds. He was world number 2 for christ sake. What this tells me is that his strength only comes from intense prep and remembering engine lines, which explains why he has relatively weak blitz play and lack of intuitive skill over the board.

      @@LuisManuelLealDias they’re both very strong, and at their level, it’s fairly easy to make a draw in like, 20 moves, unless one of them tried to make it interesting, you’re either underestimating Fabiano’s blitz, or overestimating Hikaru, they’re definitely pretty close in blitz, even if Hikaru is stronger, it’s not that big of a gap, and Fabiano would 100% beat Hikaru up a minute

    • @LuisManuelLealDias
      @LuisManuelLealDias Год назад +1

      @@dankness420 Hikaru is better than Fabi at blitz (50 elo points difference iirc), and he's more of a machine the lesser the time. Of all the GMs he's probably the one with the best immediate intuition. I don't think it would be 100% at all, maybe 50% tops.
      Fabi has gotten a lot better these past years in fast chess. He used to perform a lot worse in it. Firoujza tops the elo list, which is kind of a surprise to me, but I guess the new kids in town are showing up.
