@Zeetana Agreed...the reason Taylor's debut flopped wasn't because of lack of talent...it was because Idol tried to make him into Michael Bolton 2.0, when he's more like Ray Charles or Joe Cocker ♥♥
I think Taylor should do some country music and get recognised by the country community. Country music and it's a association are VERY supportive of it's talents, so I think he should start there.
Taylor blew them all away when he did this hot country-remix version on American Idol a few weeks ago.. There are videos of it here; def. worth checking out in addition to this new music video...
Well, its complicated. I just graduated from a broadcast school and there is a lot more to it than just playing a song whenever you want to. Most of the time when you hear people requesting certain songs on the radio they were actually pre-screened. All I can say is just keep trying and maybe something will happen :)

You know, Fantasia, Ruben Studdard and Taylor Hicks were born in wrong generations. If fantasia was born in the 70s/80s, she would definitely have been as huge as Aretha Franklin, Patti Labelle etc. If Ruben was born maybe 8 years earlier when PURE R&B was huge, he would def. have been huge too. If Taylor Hicks was born around the 60s/70s he would've been as huge as Tom Jones and Joe Cocker too i'm sure.
