Union Railfanning (7/17/23) (New Jersey Transit, Norfolk Southern & CSX)

The Chessie System Inc was a holding company developed by the Chesapeake and Ohio Railway to hold the stock of railroads it acquired. The company was founded in February 26th, 1973. CSX GE ES44AH #3066 was renumbered to #1973 to honor the Chessie System.
July 17th, 2023, CSX 1973 was leading on IO32 to North Bergen, NJ. While waiting for IO32 to clear Union, NJT ALP-45DP #4502 ARMED FORCES makes its appearance 3 times in this video with one of the greatest engineers giving a hornshow. Norfolk Southern also had a few EMD SD70ACes running on the Lehigh which you will see later in the video (+ SD70IAC).
