    I have been reviewing your videos as our High School is now running the Air Raid. I coach in the Middle School and I would like to introduce concepts and get kids accustomed to the offense. One thing about the Middle School conference we play in is that they have simplified rules, head up alignment (ends can shade outside), and very limited Blitzing. Based on these rules we see a lot of 4 down D linemen and 5 down D lineman. My question is if the Defense gives us a 5 man down line. covering up every player how would you pin and pull that? Would you suggestwe ask the Tackle to come all the way across and then read that unblocked D End?

    Coach McKie, What do you call your Pin and Pop play? Do you tag the routes or is it pre-packaged based on the name of the play?

      Coach Smith,
      We call our Pin and Pull Oregon to the Right and Ducks to the left. The routes are pre-packaged into the play. If I want the wide receivers to run something different then I will tag it. Like Oregon Slice or Oregon Key 3. Something like that.

    I’ve never seen anyone pull their center before! That’s definitely new to me.

    Did you play anyone that called the defensive front strength away from the running back? If so, did you just pull the center around the 3, or what?

      We did. When they did then would run inside zone.

    Jet sweep to the f out of the 2x2

    • @CoachMcKie

      That is a nice play. Especially if the RB gets the alley defender.

      What if you put the f into motion and when he is in front of the qb “toss/lateral” to him.

    • @josephmiller38
      @josephmiller38 4 года назад

      Plus it’s harder to defend a man in motion.

      Just for clarity the qb snaps it then tosses it. But you could also have the center snap it to the f, when the f is behind the center while the f is running parallel to the line of scrimmage.

      Then just to sell it, the Qb then fakes like the ball went over his head.
