    appreciate you im OC for semi pro team and we do lot of the same rpo and gonna try out some of yours as well! rpos really forces dc's to play man or sometype of man zone combo really stressing them out keep up thr great work coach mckie

      Coach,
      Thanks for watching my video. And I agree, RPOs really do force the DC's hand. Makes the worry about what to do and how to defend it. Which makes our job easier.

    Coach! We run something similar. Our stack is on the outside but it’s a screen. Our fullback or wr lines up where your stack is and he runs a option route based on the backer. A slant if he’s lined up in man or a 5 yd hitch if he wants to play the run and the qb throws to his outside shoulder. Works every time. Loving your videos. I’m taking over as OC finally l. We should collab on some things and dominate our opponents!

    It is easier to diagnose zone defense to make your offense play fixed with run or pass you choose. Getting the defense out of man that relys on your reciever making 100% of 50/50 passing options. Zone is where you can run and pass to its weaknesses.

  • @bamaburney
    @bamaburney 7 лет назад +1

    I like what I see...a difference in the play, from the 2 back set is that I read the safety. From the 5:42 mark...if the safety rolls with the motion then I will run the QB lead with the same blocking rules...this gives me 7 on 6 in the box...if the safety does not roll with the motion then it is an automatic bubble pass as we are 3 over 2.

    • @CoachMcKie
      @CoachMcKie  7 лет назад +1

      Coach Bama,
      Thank you for taking time out of your day to watch my video and leave a comment. It means a lot to me.
      I never thought about running QB lead out of our two back set. That seems like it would be a great short yardage/goal line play. Plus, it keeps the same rules for the OL. What do you have the running back do on the lead? Does he kick out the end man on line of scrimmage?

    • @bamaburney
      @bamaburney 7 лет назад

      Coach McKie, No I run the double lead out of it and keep the same rules...now we are running on the Safety. If we run "kick" then we will gap down backer and kick the end with the play side RB and lead with the backside RB. I also like running the stretch to the week side or left if two receivers are to the right with the RPO...read the LB over the right RB and have the slot to run a stick and wideout a 5 yard dig.

      Coach,
      Thanks for taking time out of your day to watch my video. It means a lot to me.
      When teams match us 3 over 3 then we do two things: 1) We will run a switch/rub route where the F and the Y switch routes. This causes confusion to the defense. Especially if they don't normally play man and are doing it because the DC is getting it from his head coach.
      2) We run our Crossing series. This is my normal fall back plan when teams go man. Let's see if their guys can keep up with our guys.

      Coach McKie me too coach man on mab i feel my guys are. better and good luck def bc i just need to hit 1 outta 3 switch routes, wheels, pick plays, in breaking routes kill man2 man also when your in man your rb is 1v1 w lb i like those odds

    coach I use this formation trips with the stack my question what happens if the safety comes up on the stick route now the corner is one on one with wideout lb picks up the shoot route. we cant run because we dont have the numbers in the box. the only option is your wideout has to be a stud and be able to pick up the corner one on one. what i did was run the 2nd guy on the stack on a shallow route.

      Thanks for watching my video. It means a lot to me that you took time out of your day to watch it.
      If you are playing teams that go cover 1 then I would do some form of motion or screening them. I did a video on it earlier. Here it is ruclips.net/video/X7HBlah8tE0/видео.html

      Tempo fast. Use the spread to make any other help one back safety recieves obvious presnap. If there is some you know where to attack and advance. If none you gotta Plaaction hold him hesitant with your options deep route spread apart and the underneath in a area of high successes. Hope this makes sense

      Coach,
      Thanks for watching my videos. it means a lot to me that you take time out of your day to watch them. I run switch routes when I face Cover 0 or 1 teams. So the Y will run the F's route. This makes a natural rub that confuses defenses. Especially defenses that don't switch man.

    Before even watching the video. I'm blitzing living hell out of my strong safety. His job is to blitz the hand off and check the back or turn and follow the football. My outside corner are zoning deep. My stacked inside corner will fall to flat my linebackers are playing underneath coverage. Linebacker on the slot side will split distance between the end and the slot while moving last minute at the snap of the play to keep the QB contained. The Free safety is playing a deep 3rd. So essentially we have a Cover 3 Zone Blitz from the Strong side.

    Do you guys ever use typical "boot" play action with RPO concepts? Obviously these are longer developing routes (Go, Delay, Over, Post, Comeback, etc.), and require the Qb to hold the ball and move outside a bit... Which leads to the fear of an illegal man downfield penalty, however... If your linemen are executing the run blocking scheme properly and COMMANDING that the defense fits that blocking scheme properly, shouldn't immediate contact occur within 2 yards anyways? I would think that as long as you tell your Offensive Linemen to never block past the second level, you would be playing within the rules the vast majority of the time. I have been out of coaching for a while, but this concept is one that I can't figure out why no one is doing.

    • @CoachMcKie
      @CoachMcKie  6 лет назад

      Coach,
      I think a lot of teams do this. They add a word - Auburn and Chad Morris say Pink - and that tells the OL to not get down the field. This is what they use for Play Action instead of the normal Play Action blocking.
