Leos jump in problem was the reason he had problems with Ryu back in smash 4. The difference being is that he got better with the match up because he was more willing to adapt
Its funny, i saw that video and just inderstood that Shouton beats MKLeo, but ZeRo just showed me with excelent deduction that Leo loses to Shouton because his best option is disrupted over and over and he never switched it up even if he switched charcaters.
Leo doesn’t look like he enjoys the game anymore, he looks depressed almost.
It feels like he enjoys it but plays to stay the best, almost as if staying at the top is his only reason for playing rather than out of loving the game. The expectations weigh heavy.
Note: Leo is my favourite player but this is just my outside perspective of it. He probably still loves the game things just feel different now

My theory is leo doesn’t care for the game anymore. He went out on top dominated all of last year with mainly byleth and legit won the super major he’s known to win with his main character joker. Dominated the game for a while now. I just don’t see him being hungry for it anymore

I think the reason Japanese players are so insane in crew battles is because it's closer to how a lot of tournaments were run in Japan. The main factor being that they are playing strictly for the pride and competition and not the money.

Actually a small mistake from Zero part on his set vs MKLeo on Summit :
- MKLeo went Greninja game 1 and game 2 , in which he won game 1 but lost game 2 and it was not close
- Game 3 Leo pull out the Lucina and lost
- Game 4 Leo pull out the wolf and won the ditto
- Game 5 Leo clutch it out and won the set 3-2
- So yeah , Leo never brought Ike to play against Zero.

Leo's best character is Joker. He fell off because he doesn't enjoy playing the character as much as he used to, that's why he is having a character crisis. He wants to find a character he enjoys.
He literally said his favorite character is Byleth. He's been saying this for a couple years now. He enjoys Byleth. He's having a apparent character crisis because he wants to play nothing but swordies and he wants to play them the same or cheese ppl like he did with Byleth until ppl figured out the mu. It's not so much a character crisis, he just needs to adapt either by playing one character the most versatile way possible like Light's Fox or actually play different characters with different playstyles like Tweek's Diddy/Seph; Banham's Lucina/Min Min.
The king found his queen and she seems to make him more happy than the game, it makes sense. Im happy for leo. As a super leo fan, its sad seeing him not be the best anymore but no one can deny that leo was the goat of smash ultimate
And theres still that small chance that leo might wake up and decide “i still feel like bein the best” and will just start GRINDING, when that happens, oh I KNOW the smash community will be shocked😂 like people really think leo stopped being the best bc he’s not as good, no it’s literally just other players have been getting better while leo has simply not been practicing as much due to him having a gf now and also wanting to focus more on his health, our boy has lost a lot of weight, but leo can still any day come back and still be the absolute best. However I think of him when he first got back to making content and he was denouncing all the things he used to love then suddenly cooled down about the gym bro lifestyle content. There are definitely alternative answers to why the sudden adult acne onset. I do find it odd someone who was obsessed with anime just suddenly is like that shit is for basement dwellers who aren't healthy, but he seems happy and that's what counts. I guess when you go through huge life turning events in your life things are gonna change. I'm playing my own devils advocate here cause I feel like it could go either way.

I noticed the switch to Byleth that he used them to play the way he wanted to play instead of making the adjustments. From the title I thought this was going to be about you lol. I follow a lot of esports and there's only a few instances where solo competitions are dominated by one person. Imo it's just you, daut and viper from aoe2. Leo was and is insane but there are people who rival him at times and interrupted his otherwise overwhelming dominance. Tweek and others have managed to upset. But your run remains unapproachable, much like daut in the first 10 years of aoe2 and viper the next 10 years. My context is admittedly small but I love learning about individuals that have that kind of unmatched dominance. Anyone who can enlighten me to others with comparable runs would make my day

I don't feel like Leo fell off, so much as everyone just finally caught up to him. It took 4 years since the game's release for there to be an actual question as to who is the best player in the world, and Leo is still part of that question. The only other person I would give the title to is Sparg0, and that's because he has proven time and time again that he deserves it. Acola is good and all, but that one set with Sparg0 where he cycled through every broken FP2 character and DK, just sorta showed me that he's kind of carried.

the problem is that style works so good that if you master it, it beats 90% of the roster and players every time. MKLeo has mastered that style. Unfortunately, he hasn’t had to develop a strong ground game since…honestly ground game isn’t something most sword characters need, which is mostly what he plays. You play luigi or cap like you HAVE to have a strong ground game. you have to be willing to run up grab; you gotta jab and tilt sometimes and even do smash attacks. I literally never see committals like that from him which is why it works against americans because we’re impatient and we ALWAYS commit right? which makes that play style a direct counter to the air game. but what if you run into someone who doesn’t have to play into that? you get MKLeo vs Shuton

I’ve seen this tittle in like 10 different videos cool content man!
He's fallen off because he's been going through a character crisis for a long time and can't seem to settle on anyone, and the one character he did settle on for a while - Byleth, is considered an upper mid tier at best. While he did have some success with Byleth, that stopped happening once players figured the MU out, and ever since then he's either stubbornly stuck to Byleth even though he knows he shouldn't, or he can't decide what other characters to actually focus on. IMO, his Joker is easily his best character, and is the one that makes the most sense to play, but he's remained very hesitant to use him for some reason.

For awhile I've been saying Leo plays one dimensional. Way too jump heavy and his ground game is sub par compared to his peers. This is why he struggles against Tweek. Tweek can play the ground just as good as the air. Only with Aegis and a little with Byleth does Leo play more grounded than usual but thats about it.
