And in defense of the Bears, at least Cutler was still a young QB with presumably his best years still ahead of him even if they squandered them in typical Bears fashion. Also: 6:39, "this is the worst pass Russell Wilson has ever thrown around the goal line." I lol'd.
As a Seattle fan, I watched Wilson from his first snap against Arizona in 2012 to...well, something was off about him starting with that horrific last to the Rams in late 2017. I know he still played well most of the time after that, but it stopped feeling like "must see" football with him. He now seems like a player in decline and all his best years are behind him. He hasn't been great since 2020 and even then he got figured out by the NFL halfway through. Carroll might just have pulled the heist of the decade in that trade.
This shows how lucky the Broncos were to get Cam Newton in the SB. Matt Ryan is as athletic as I am and he still ran and dove on that fumble, while "superman" ran away from the one in the SB

Why they even ran a pass play when all they needed to ice the game was a decent run is beyond me. Run the ball here. If you get it, that takes you to the 2-minute warning and with no timeouts, the Colts can't stop the clock. If you don't get it, you run to the 2-minute warning and kick an easy field goal to make it a 6-point game in a game where no TDs have been scored. Your odds of winning on a run are SIGNIFICANTLY higher than a pass.
I realized these past 5 weeks that getting Wilson off the Hawks was the best thing! I was pissed at first and hated Carroll for it, but I think Carroll saw Wilson declining and his toxicity and man I’m again happy we can move on. This game will be a footnote by two teams prob not headed for postseason or if among the lucky 14 aren't going far.

So I thought hell...I'm gonna sit on my couch after work and watch this game. And this was the game I watched. 😑

You don’t go from handling business the season before to suddenly not being able to throw a football deep the next. The team’s offense had already started making major changes and Peyton being the age he was wasn’t able to make the adjustment so it wound up being bad reads and “very conservative” throws 80 percent of the time. The game against Green Bay was a perfect example of the team “firing on all cylinders” as he had 4 touchdowns that night and some pretty astronomical stats. Then he was out with plantar fasciitis in both his feet after the Kansas City game so I can only imagine the pain he was in just setting up to throw the ball. Peyton and “his noodle arm” was still 4 times the player Russ is right now and it would be an improvement for sure to have him back in the Shotgun. We as Bronco fans took those five years atop the division for granted and that fact shows in the attitudes of a lot of current fans. @@mrrodriguezHLP I’m starting to think Peyton’s last year wasn’t all on him and his “alleged” noodle arm. You don’t go from handling business the season before to suddenly not being able to throw a football deep the next. The team’s offense had already started making major changes and Peyton being the age he was wasn’t able to make the adjustment so it wound up being bad reads and “very conservative” throws 80 percent of the time. The game against Green Bay was a perfect example of the team “firing on all cylinders” as he had 4 touchdowns that night and some pretty astronomical stats. Then he was out with plantar fasciitis in both his feet after the Kansas City game so I can only imagine the pain he was in just setting up to throw the ball.
Peyton and “his noodle arm” was still 4 times the player Russ is right now and it would be an improvement for sure to have him back in the Shotgun. We as Bronco fans took those five years atop the division for granted and that fact shows in the attitudes of a lot of current fans. I’m not ready to throw the towel in on Russ just yet as maybe he needed more time than he thought to get used to this offense but at the same time it’s inexcusable to make the bad calls he is making so often. We could really use the Peyton Manning of old right now. “Noodle arm” and all.

After that game the broncos deserve every ounce of criticism they're getting. This was a game where both teams wanted to lose and the broncos still found a way to lose
The crazy thing is the Broncos have no reason to want to lose because they gave away their first and second round picks in the draft to get Russell Wilson.

You've got to love Perna's hair for this. The fact that he purposefully messes it up to get the " I just stayed up all night screaming" look truly shows his commitment to good quality videos. It's the little things that truly show hard work
