    amazing! going from city to city in that bus sounds awesome! thank you so much for sharing! btw.. I seen your other video where you tell us about how you just went to L.A with nothing but your bass and a dream, so Congratulations on all your success!

      Thank you! There was definitely a lot of struggle and dark times before reaching this level. Never give up on your dreams and goals.

    Nice.
    All your bus needs is a Jacuzzi, a bowling alley and 24hr Starbucks and you're set!
    BTW.
    I've got a couple questions:
    Can you do a rig rundown of your touring gear? (interview your guitar tech!)
    What size cabinet do you think is necessary for your shows? 4x10? 8x10?
    What pedal do you never leave home without? (Besides tuner, duh.)
    Thanks! Any info would be really helpful!

    • @TheBassWizard
      @TheBassWizard  7 лет назад +2

      An interview with my tech would be interesting... good idea! I'm mostly just using a 4x10 for these shows, but since everyone is on In-Ears and I'm going DI straight to the board, it doesn't even matter and I could even be doing it with no amp on stage.
      As far as the pedals... I guess it varies from gig to gig, but I'd say my Sansamp Bass Driver DI since I need a DI for monitors and front of house, and it could also be used for overdrive if I need it and dont have anything else with me.

    Marc, such a great gig for you. You've worked long and hard to make gigs like this become a part of your journey!
    I bet sometimes you almost have to pinch yourself and say, wow, look what I'm doing:). You visualized it for yourself and made it happen. Congrats! Who knows...maybe one day you'll wake up and be parked outside of Red Rocks!

    Better than the old van when starting out, but still some tight quarters to contend with. At least it comes with some luxuries, too. Imagine the life Iron Maiden has with a jumbo jet - part airliner & equipment transport.
    Thank you for the look see and explaining life on tour! Awesome!

    just curious : how many are they on the bus?
    2. why do you need security on tour? don't they have on venue?

    • @blehpp7192
      @blehpp7192 4 года назад +2

      Sometimes venue security doesn't reach out to tourbus security, also sometimes they may need to stop at places that aren't secure

    2 most important things I learned in my day: #1 - don’t poop on the bus. Even if you have to, don’t. #2 - If you wake up, look out the bus window and see a cement wall, start moving because you have to work that day. If you see trees, sky or other scenery it’s a day off and you can go back to sleep.

    What a cool tour/video, thanks. My question is - where the hell do you take a s***? I know you can't do it on the bus. But if you're sleeping on the bus and not going to hotels, where/when/how do you go, and what are some of the worst/best situations? And what if the need hits at a bad time?

      I work with guys who tour for a living. I'm local but work along side a lot of roadies. Idk how they do it day in and day out, it becomes your family for sure from what I've noticed.
      Rule #1 on a tour bus: no sh-ting on the bus.
      Rule#2: no sh-ting o the bus lol

    Who pays for the bus? Your record label? You? Is it leased? Purchased? They can get very pricey, and specialized as well. Thank you.

    • @alexmarenco2399
      @alexmarenco2399 5 лет назад +1

      Tour busses are normally rented by the artist through their label. So the label takes the time to arrange everything but eventually the artist has to pay that money. In some cases the band purchases the bus ( normally huge welathy bands that can afford it like Foo Fighters, Muse, etc.). In this case Marcelo does not have to pay for anything as he is not the "artist" in question, that would be Olivia Holt in this case. He essentially is employed by the artist. He, in theory, gets paid and everything (travel, food, and all the rest) is paid for by her.

    Very cool but it must be expensive to keep your apartment and be on the road. Does the record label pay your apartment bills? Rock On.........................:-)
