The best actor in this entire sketch was Raph's squeaky chair. I mean the rest of the cast was fantastic as usual, but squeaky chair really took it to another level.

I have family members that are like this. They always try to “solve” my dislike of certain foods, as though my preferences are the result of some flawed logic and not just my tastebuds sending my brain negative feedback.
Oh, dear Dante, my mom does this with me and foods, too. I hate the flavor of coffee, and my mom will constantly be like, "But you're an adult! You should be drinking coffee! Here, try this [coffee product], it doesn't really taste like coffee!" I also dislike most seafood, especially shellfish, and the number of times I've heard "try this, you can't really taste the crab/shrimp/etc. in it!" is incredible. I'm always like, "Mom, if you couldn't taste it, then WHY WOULD THEY PUT IT IN THE FOOD?!"
My family is always like " how are you my family if you dont like chocolate"... lol

On our way to my safety employee of the month dinner. The worst part is I still haven't broken it to my girlfriend yet and that was years ago.

traps “grant” line at the end was the best part of the sketch.
How every generation reacts when the next one decides it likes different things.
South Park did it with kids watching other kids play video games, and took it to, IIRC, kids watching other kids watching *other* kids play video games.
That's only because each generation likes progressively suckier things.
This implies that the generation prior to you liked better things, and the one before that liked even better things. I happen to think that, at least with music, this is demonstrably not true, and it's certainly not true with video games (or board/card games) or movies.
Not that a lot of modern music, games, and movies aren't crap, but they've evolved over time, and some of the modern stuff is incredibly good at putting the medium through its paces, in a way that previous generations hadn't yet figured out, and with less of the fluff and gristle that previous generations didn't realize was a bad thing (see, for example, the way that older movies separated the credits into their own 5-minute stretch of some guy driving down a highway while we see the names of the major cast and crew).

I don't like assigned seating either. Just adds an extra step to buying tickets when I want to sit down and watch the film.

An extra step??? Finding seats in a crowded theatre is a WAY bigger step. Assigned seating eliminates the problem of saving seats and standing in lines. Haven't you watched that episode of Seinfeld? lol

@@wildreams At the start of the bit they're arguing over liking assigned seating at movie theaters or not. At the end, Grant leaves early, saying he wants to get good seats. Trapp calls him out as he leaves. Because if he bought assigned seats he wouldn't have to leave early to get seats.
I love the fact that the second director they named is Ava DuVernay and that they put her before Kubrick. She's my all time favorite. I have so much love, respect and admiration for this woman. Her work is fantastic. 💓

I don't like ice cream because I don't like the texture because it's too cold and gooey, soft serve isn't much better, so I actually can say I dislike all ice cream flavors for a valid reason. I do like Fro-yo, popsicles, and Italian ice though, it's just regular ice cream that I don't like.

Unless there's like a birthday party or large group together at a movie theater, assigned seating at a movie theater is bullshit. Grant's right with this one. Also, how do you not like ice cream? I can understand if you don't like certain flavors or prefer frozen yogurt vs ice cream, but not liking ice cream because it's "too sweet" is bullshit; it's ice cream, it's dessert, it's supposed to be sweet.

it's the little things that make these sketches timeless
People with low self esteem need constant validation from others. They see people with opposing beliefs as a threat to the validity of their own belifes. Ie if they disagree with me they must think I'm wrong. But if I'm wrong then I'm worthless. So in order for me to maintain my sense of self worth THEY must be converted to think like me or destroyed.

I dislike assigned seating in most theatres because I often get my seat messed up. I’ll often be one row off, or one seat off. I’m really bad with numbers. It’d be easier if the seats were colour coded, or alternating colours. Now I only go with friends/family, so if I mess up at least I won’t be yelled at by a stranger.
I am that kinda person that gets upset when someone hates something that I love.
I hate assigned seating because if someone spills a drink on your assigned seat so you move somewhere else, someone with the ticket of the chair you moved to might throw a hissy fit.

This is so relatable, both sides and the neutral side. It always feels like if someone doesn't feel the same way you do, there has to be some sort of root cause, some inherent difference between you that causes it. Unless you're neutral, then you see how petty and pointless it is.
The cinema nearest me only has assigned seating and I prefer it. I like being able to pick out a good seat in advance and get to the cinema at a time that works for me without having to worry about getting a good seat.

i had a friend that didn't like the same things i like, but instead of me being like "WHAT WHY??" i moved on. but the person who didn't like some things would constantly berate the things i like that they don't like. and i was just, "LET ME LIKE THE THINGS I LIKE YOU PRICK" i said this sentence said so many things.
I can't stand carbonation. So no soda, no seltzer, no beer, no sparkling wine or juice....I'm fun at parties.

This reminds me of when I told my friends that Ready Player One is worst book I've ever read in my life. They were acting like I said "I hate Steven Spielberg". I am so sorry, I like books with a good story, good characters, good theme and good pacing, not just some retarded nostalgia circle jerk
I don't blame you, if anything some of his other works are much better. That and homestuck is a better alternative when it comes to the themes that were presented in ready player one, like online friendships, perseverance through the challenges ahead, etc.
I've heard someone describe Ready Player One as kinda like twilight for guys but worse, and that people just don't bag on it as much because it isn't marketed to teenage girls
