$63K? For $12K less, you can get a Colorado ZR2 (sure, 33's vs 35's)... with front and rear lockers, more horsepower, more torque, and more features. I used to want a Tacoma... had my eyes set on the new TRD Pro *until* I saw the price. I'm NOT saying the ZR2 is better than the Taco (though it might be)... but it IS a better value. The price on the Tacoma just doesn't make any sense.
I actually think the ZR2 is better. Just came from the local auto show and the ZR2 seemed more higher quality, more room, more standard features, rear AC vents too! I also test drove the ZR2 a couple times recently. Just an amazing truck. Seeing some as cheap as 45k. Toyota was the trend setter back in the day but lost their way.
A fully aspirated V-6 would have been a nice option compared to the new (not time-tested) 4cyl turbo or hybrid. All set with the price point, and a LOT of plastic. I WAS a taco fan.
@@JW-ri1mb I've test drove the zr2 and the Tacoma. The zr2 is definitely more desirable, however I am looking for a vehicle to last me the rest of my life and I'm not so sure the zr2 will be up to the task. I haven't pulled the trigger but I am leaning towards a Tacoma off-road.
@bjsimon802 Yes and your point is? Its not even a full size truck, it has cloth seats, 4 banger turbski, non hybrid selling for over 63k. Youd buy that?
@ Trucks will be over 50grand in the future, no matter how you look at it. YOu not getting it, the WEF and men in power are printing money and making everything expensive. In Canada the Honda Civic is selling for $47000. I dont like it more than you like it, but this reality . Nothing will ever be cheap again when the men in power are trying to collapse humanity and World currency for digital money. Already 50 countries are abandoned the USa dollar, and trump is doing everyting to stop this. If your not happy about the truck, then buy Ram and ford. Toyota will put less feature to keep the cost down, that includes insurance, part and maintenace.. So you dont get the interface that has digital map like Audi, these stuff are not necessary . Audi has this digital cockpit interface map right in front of your speedometer. If toyota add that feature for $50000 truck the insurace will go up easily , because to fix that interface will cost you $10000 just to repair. Simple is better. If you want more just go buy F150 fully loaded, you used to buy that truck $50000 , but now you can will get v6 and ecoboost for over $90000. There is so much more than owning a car than all these parts. Expense is problem for alot of people who just want a car to drive, and nothing to repair.
@ Btw I work with very rich people who buy these German cars. They keep them for 3 years and get another car. Why do the most millionaire buy Toyota's, mazda, and honda, because of cost and repairs. The minute a massive problem happens with these cars, they trade it in. People dont have the money to afford to do this every year. The people i work with make over $700,000 a year, money is not option. But for an everyday person making a living, wants to own that car for more than 10 years.
After Lemon Lawing, my 24' Tacoma. I was back in the market for a new truck. I'm not impressed by the build quality of new vehicles today. So, I compared buying and leasing. I ended up getting a 24' F-150 XLT FX4 303A package. 4-inch BDS lifted with power running boards. $47,300.00 out the door sell price. For a $62K MSRP vehicle, including dealer upgrades. However, I got a better deal leasing! Even worked out a deal on a hard trifold tonneau cover. That's way too much money for a mid-size truck. My gas mileage combined on the Tacoma was around 20 mpg. 19 mpg on the V8 Ford! More payload, towing, and passenger room. Ford, GM, and Ram are knocking $10K to $15K off of their vehicles. You can beat them up a little more, too. Never again, will I spend more for a mid-size than a full-sized truck. Their quality and reliability are pretty much the same. None are worth buying! That's exactly why I leased....
Nice looking truck; I like the colours....... interior and exterior and I like that it is built in Mexico, the only way that could be better is if it was made in Japan or Canada.
3.5" lift in is way too much for these. No down travel left, it's like walking around full-time on your tiptoes. Dealers annoy me, they lift these trucks incorrectly with the cheapest possible parts, and then charge top dollar for it. The tires are a terrible choice as well, you're in Utah where it frequently, why did they not put winter rated tires on this? BFG K03 or Falken AT4W would have been a much better choice, and still would have an aggressive look.
I traded in my 24 Tundra Pro and went with a 24 Tacoma trd offroad. I looked at other brands of trucks, but just feel like Toyota holds its value better. I'm happy with the performance and price over what I was paying for the Tundra. I am considering some sort of lift, but personally I think the Westcott spacer kit is the way to go with these trucks. I had a full BDS 6" kit on my 2019 Tundra, and although it looked great, it changed the ride too much for me personally. on my 2021 Tundra pro, I used the Westcott lift, and I feel like it actually rode better. 285/70/17 with a +25 offset wheel and the Westcott spacer kit is the perfect setup on the Tacoma to keep ride quality, and get that nice lifted off road look. Just my opinion.
what POS! 63k. no leather, no sunroof, nothing... I got a 2024 colorado ZR2 for less than 51k and is loaded, but cameras and Bose. I leveled it and changed wheels, tires, performance parts and cap and I'm still cheaper than this absolute junk heap! Again, get a bison or raptor for that change!
Hey, Ben I love the color of the truck, however I want a more powerful engine a v6 or even a v8 engine if you ordered a more powerful engine you should have that option.😊😊😊.
Ben how are u finding lifted Tacomas there is not a single one here and there are 4 2024 and 2 2025s on the lot out of which 3 2024 and 1 2025 are sr5 and 1 of each yr is trd sport
Don't buy one already lifted. Buy the one you want, then take it to a reputable off-road shop to do it the right way. This truck is not at all done the right way.
I was getting my 2023 taco serviced at the dealership today, and I asked the service manager how the Gen4 tacos were doing. he told me, " wait a few more years, still problems with the gen4"
Yeah, I am not a fan of the blue accents in the truck. I am though a very big fan of the colour of the truck and setup this one has. Wow! that is my dream setup if and when I get mine which is on order. (Gas/Hybrid)
Some Bro will pay sticker plus for this to carry his laptop to work to look more manly while driving. So many fools being parted from their money for these.
Lift is too high to my liking, 2 in. on front only is a good level lift. Then add 295's for 34 in. tall and 11.6 wide. That lift on it is over stated and problematic.
There’s one truck left with a manual transmission. If they make the hybrid the standard powertrain there will be no truck with a manual transmission. Don’t wish for that……Tacomas have lost too much already
@Roachhhhhh Lets compare apples to apples. Ford sold over 800,000 F150's last year. The raptor is a trim, as is the TRD pro. I will put my money on the Raptor F150 outselling the TRD PRO Tacoma, after all, the F150 is the most sold truck in the United States.
Dear Americans: Global inflation is happening worldwide, nothing is cheap after covid. To buy F150 is over 100g in Canada, and buy Honda civic is $40000. Jeep gladitor is $130000. Tacoma is better buy at 50 g
Adding an el cheapo left kit is going to kill those CV joints. Buy once, cry once. Go with Camburg upper A arms and a King suspension designed specifically for the 24+ Tacoma’s.

More features? Nah nope and the prices or so close the taco is better on gas etc
This thing is $20,000 more than my 2023 off-road. My truck is loaded, except leather. Insane price.
Doesn't make sense. Throw some King or Fox suspension on you 2023 and never get rid of it
This thing is hideous. Absolute junk lift components too. Bro-dozer wheels sticking out. Ugh.
Here in Utah, Mormons are experts in breast lifts, not truck lifts.
@@warg333 because he’s a wannabe bro poser.
Time to cover that mess of an engine! What a mess.
I can see why some would really like the blue. Its unique and definitely adds an interesting feel to the interior
Mark up is insane at your dealership. For that price I'd get the raptor ranger or the Colorado bison
Those CV angles must be super angry
The first mod these 4th Gen junkers should be getting is replacing the engine with a V6.
63k for the base cloth seats? I hope that whole stealership gets whats comin 😂😂😂.

brand new truck with the cheapest lift kits possible. Horrible.
I bought a 24 off-road with the premium package for $12,000 less. There is a big markup on this truck
Same.

Why do you dry steer?
Some say the horn on these kind of lifted trucks only emits a sound at a frequency Bros can hear? 😊
They’re both using Toyota suspension. Both block and spacer. Personally I’d go with the TRD suspension lift.

Off how the dealer installed a lift kit that is 1/2” taller in the front than the factory 3” lift.
Are there metal shavings in the engine?
Looks cool but awkward at the same time, and that ride seems a bit harsh...if that's the word.
It’s crazy how huge this thing is for being a Tacoma
Then they strapped a 4 cylinder engine in it. A 4 banger that loves to see a gas station. Never thought id see the day.
I always like the Tacoma TRD off road with the rough country lift with the blue interior

Whoooaa those electric blue pieces and the "tacoma" on the dash are really bad design calls. Wtfffff
So what was done with the lift in the front ? What parts did ready lift use and rough country ?
Honestly I kinda dig the shock matched painted interior 😆 it doesn’t bother me!
Do these trucks have fake engine noise, or does this engine sound like the 5.7 liter v8?
No sounds like a whissle i got one u can barely hear it
in that case pay the 65k for the trd pro or trail hunter
