      @@B1EIFREI We understand venture capital quite well. This isn't venture capital. We don't invest in pre-revenue crap that ends up on public markets. You might want to research yourself a bit more. And in your last sentence you absolutely nailed it. This isn't a place to come for advice. We're here to teach people how to become better investors, not cram some sacred cow down their throats. We wouldn't touch this with a ten-foot pole until they generate meaningful revenues. You are correct, one issue I have is you don’t know what they do, if the customers testing now like what they see, this company can be a huge deal (finally) and you will have trashed one of the best AI plays on the market. Question….Why would they sell an asset with 5 million in sales (denselight) If they don’t believe they’re onto something much better?

      "Trashed one of the best AI plays on the market." Do you think it's appropriate to wait until they've proven their product with traction before investing? We do. Time and time again this has proven to be an effective method to avoid all the countless "story stonks" that end up stringing on investors. Let us know when they've cleared $10 million per year and we'll take a look at their product. No FOMO YOLO stuff.

      When they have meaningful revenues we'll dig into their product offering more. When that "illustrative portfolio" becomes a real portfolio, when they stop paying for research and start executing on what they say in investor decks, that's when we'll dig into their technology. The most important recent news is: they raised CAD 20M at the price around CAD 2.95, putting them at the very stable financial condition. Before that the company was close to bankruptcy. The current share price (CAD 2.8) is below the price they raised money, which means it is a good value for retail investors. The next earnings (Q1) is expected May 13 - May 17, so it is just over 1 week from now. It will be important to hear what they say about 2024 revenue prospects. If they really start generating revenues this year the share price could skyrocket. So it is a potential multi bagger, assuming they show traction in generated revenue this year and no more delays like they had in the last couple of years. It is a risky stock, but could be a huge winner. This week I opened a position. I first heard about POET from this video (so I have to give you credit for bringing it to my attention), but I make additional research and came to my own conclusions.

    • @Nanalyze
      @Nanalyze  4 месяца назад +1

      The most important news is when they have meaningful revenues. Period. "Before that the company was close to bankruptcy." So right around the time they were breaking promises about ramping revenues then? "It will be important to hear what they have to say.'" Rubbish. Words and five bucks might get you a Whopper. Revenues. That's all you care about. Revenues, not pipe dreams. The "potential multi bagger" and "it is risky but could be a huge winner" stuff isn't how we invest here.

      All true, got small portfolio in small caps trading, only this gives me breakout vibes.. if im correct AMD and GLOBAL Foundries.. split years ago. AMD did better but GLOBAL foundries still huge... Suresh was in a CEO position.. what i found out is that AMD venture and Porsche holding.. are holding Shares.. so guess its a gamble from them or they know more.. 50k orders at these prices US volume. Or a swing trader believes he can flip an high high risk trade or its an investor.. i know they didnt perform and had cash burns.. but always made it out of it.. fairly easy.. but this is my perspective. Im not an engineer but few of my mates in AI space told it's legit idea etc. So maybe wordt the risk as moonbagger.. little gamble for me but still IF IF IF they succeed and get 1.2-2mil revenue (max was 500k) then you know people going to see this as a AI Growth stock. SO im speculating but this could be big. Not saying go in big time but even a 50$ could potential go 5000$ if they show progress during all this.. so i bought small at 1,80-2,30 zone and im going to hold. And if results show.. going buy 2-4x my position.. but for me its also still a high risk play..
      And also be aware initial pump was thanks to YT. So not trying to shill. But maybe research more and if you chance mind.. show it and if you dont then we know your opinion 🤣

And the "Sponsored" but "Impartial" Report, cracked me up as well. This Poet review really made me laugh. Glad I am not invested. I understand why these bastards do this, for the very reason you note. Retail investors wnat to get in on Ai and they look at Quantity over Quality. Which is and has always been a human error. Sadly they are falling for the hype and thinking this could make them millionaires by having 100 shares of Poet rather than 1 share of NVDA. Its the same old story, of a Fool and his Money. And I have been that Fool with my money in my life. So, I sympathize with others who fall for hype. But the thing is to learn from the mistakes and no longer be the Fool. The only real Fool is the one who keeps making the same mistakes over and over. Which is why you and Wyatt do this. You are educating the Fools to make them no longer Fools. Hopefully. Thank you for the laughs in this one.

      We have all made the same mistakes in our investing journey. In hindsight it's crazy to see that. Even very intelligent successful professionals (doctors seem to do this a lot) make mistakes with their money. Then there's the "well, I only invest what I can afford to lose" attitude which is a huge mistake. Investing is not gambling. Glad you enjoyed the humor! i respect the advice you are giving and it definetly is helpful thank you. I would say , institutional investors DO look at these companies, its a matter of checking who attends their quarterly meetings, reading the transcripts and also which companies/funds have invested and which ones they have sold to.
    the institutions arent going to tell you directly because they are also waiting to see if the company pans out. They have their no name analysts at meetings. If a company is being pushed by a firm , thats when im sure that the risk is even bigger because they are TRYING to get retail investors. Like ark, they stress me out by trying to manipulate

    • @Nanalyze

      Most institutional investors have market cap cutoffs - for obvious reasons like liquidity - but occasionally you'll find some smaller ones bottom feeding. There is absolutely nothing to see here until POET has proved the product by achieving meaningful revenues. It's a tiny company for a reason.

    I have a friend who has an affinity for companies that generate little to no revenues, no income, and at times don't even an existing product. It's so sad to see him lose almost all of his retirement money by betting on hopes and dreams instead of solid financial results by a company. He always justified his losses by saying, "The bigger the risk, the greater the return." or "It wasn't an investment. I knew it was a gamble." as if it made any difference in the end. Despite all of this, he hasn't changed his mindset. When you feel desperation, you make desperate moves in the attempt to win it all back quickly. It's especially hard to change someone's mind when the person is highly educated and accomplished in his professional career. It's easy to become overconfident and steadfast in your ways. Combine that with the Reddit echo chamber cheering you on, the resistance to change is too strong.

    As one that's been around Microwave Communications for the past 24 years I can see the use cases for Poet's Tech. Anyone with any sense operating in NVIDIA, Alcatel and Harris' Space has a critical eye on this type of emerging Technology. Using DS3 (=28 T1's) Lines to compete against NVIDIA'S "Dojo" within an "A I. Server Farm" is a joke. Poet's Tech FAR outstrips DS3's. A lot of people commenting on the video thus far likely have no idea what I'm talking about. I wouldn't be too dismissive, proof of concept is very easy for Poet to establish. My concern is adaptation outside of the Enterprise Setting/ WAN/Intranet Environments which it sounds like they're ready to tackle today.
