Fantastic video once again. Love watching you exploring your beautiful part of the world and it’s wildlife. Keep up the great work. Thank you for bringing us along:)
Impresionante vídeo pareja, escuchar los sonidos también enriquece al fotógrafo y al aficionado. Ese lugar es espectacular, vamos para tirarse horas y horas disfrutando y fotografiando. Un saludo desde Asturias-España.
Hello you two, just carry on as before. There is a lot of strength and calmness in your videos, which helps me, for example, to develop new ideas, best regards Jürgen.
Thank you Jürgen. We try our best to stay cool here in Iceland ;-)

@@GudmannAndGyda I don't think that's a problem in Iceland (To stay cool). It should be something like my Bavarian mountains, in winter. Have a great Time, regards Jürgen.
Another great vid. Thanks for the fantastic views & wildlife. Feel your pain on the switch to mirrorless cost wise, Tuff when you have great F mount lenses already. Happy shooting. (and recording)
Love all of your videos. Wondering what brand your pants are, i've been looking for a pair with built in knee pads. it would make it so much easier on my old knees when kneeling down to get the low perspective shots. keep up the awesome work.
I knew it! This is going to turn into a fashion brand ;-) I got these in a local craftsman store in Iceland. The one I own is: sindri.is/bl%C3%A5kl%C3%A4der-vinnubuxur-4-way-stretch-bla-198916449900c50 The brand is BLÅKLÄDER 4-Way Stretch. My favorite pants when out in the field. Wish I had started to use them long time ago. The knee-pads are sold separately, but they are standard size and fit all pant-models. If you search for Blaklader work pants on Amazon, you will find some models, but I am not sure if exactly the model I am using is found there. I am sure they can be found somewhere, just make sure to buy the "4-way stretch" model.
excellent video as always, you have just encouraged me to put my mic on my camera before i go out for the day at my local wetlands, thanks for sharing.
The best idea we have heard for a long time ;-) For some reason both Sony and Canon have offered us all kinds of benefits for switching brands, but Nikon is silent.
Love the video. Fabulous to see all the northern birds on the cliffs. Such an interesting little white bird at the 9.00 minute mark. Could you be so kind as to educate us - what bird is that :) Regards, Richard
I know this is an old video but hoping to get a reply, how is the Shure lenshopper for recording wildlife, what do you think of it and do you recommend it? I can't find anyone other than you using the mic for this
Thank you very much. I badly needed a video on recording the sounds of nature. I am a nature photographer myself, and there are no films on this. Regards.🙃
I was facing the same issue with the mic having it picking the vibration from the af motor and stabilizer when it’s on the hot shoe , then I attached the mic on the lens hood and the problem solved! 😆
Hallo! Your videos are very interesting and nice. Sometimes it looks a little bit scary to see you walking around so near the cliffs. Audio is very difficult . If you are interested you can look at my video "tranor vid bjurum våren 2022 ver II ". We about 20000 cranes in this area Bjurum where I live Best Regards from Sweden // Hans-Olof

Thank you Thomas. Mirrorless is the future, expensive future. ;-)
Beautiful intro! :) God bless you both!
This is a superb resource. Thank you both. How are you connecting Rode to F3?
I would like tô know it, too...
Hey Gudman... love the pants too with the knee pad, I am sure it is much more comfortable on the rocks with these. Where did you get them?
Great sound and video, keep up the good work and enjoy 😉
Came here to research microphones, stayed for the people.

Go for it! The world of sounds is a big part of nature.

Thank you RJ. The bird at the 9 minute mark is Snow Bunting (Plectrophenax nivalis). Cute birds and very relaxed in Grimsey.
@@GudmannAndGyda Thanks so much, it's another wildlife jewel in amongst many :)
Great video 👍 I learn much of this! I get to the vr motor sound and its make me crazy 🙂this is a amazing place whit lots of birds 😃
Glad you enjoyed it Jani. Grimsey is special... great for bird photography, and simply relaxing.

Glad it was helpful! Thank you for watching.
What is the blimp and windscreen you’re using for the ME66
It is a cheap but good Movo BWS1000.
So do you prefer shotgun or stereo mic for capturing bird sounds?
In general, for birds, the shotgun microphones are the way to go. For environment audio, stereo is great.
I was facing the same issue with the mic having it picking the vibration from the af motor and stabilizer when it’s on the hot shoe , then I attached the mic on the lens hood and the problem solved! 😆
