such a beautifully shot music video. it's a bit hard to follow as a casual listener as this video is the end of a story they've been telling for years. If your interested i watching the start of it they have a playlist on their channel called 'The Story' that has the videos in order.

There's just two people in twenty one pilots - Tyler (singer) and Josh (drummer)
The black on Tyler's hands and neck represent him covering up insecurities in his music - writing and vocals
This is the "conclusion" to a storyline that's been going on over multiple albums but it ended in a cliff hanger so people think there's more music coming
Paladin Strait is a fictional body of water in this world in their story that you would have to cross to get to where they need for this final confrontation

You both do not know Twenty One Pilots and the story that they are brilliantly portraying for the past 13 years since the Vessel album. For real for real, you have to listen to the previous albums and videos to understand the story. Yes, every song sounds different but the Paladin Strait video has all of the artifacts from the previous tracks lore or not. In this Clancy album, there are three songs that are lore based and in the story , Tyler and Josh are going through a self discovery of allowing their creativity to grow and get stronger before they go back to Trench against Nico (Blurryface).
