    7 water changes in a year on a tank like that is absolutely insane! And the fish still grew nicely which is evidence that as long as the water chemistry is good, you don’t need the water changes! Very cool! Would love to see more about the algae scrubber. Do you ever clean it? Feed the algae to the fish? Etc.

    Troy, that was very enjoyable and interesting. I love this tank and every fish is beautiful in it's own way. Every fish is also a 10/10. Just imagine them all in another 2 years. I'm also super glad that new investment underneath paid off and I'm wondering if you will install one on the new build? Thanks so much for sharing. Peace. TEAM TROY!

Ben Ochart did one recently like this on his 300G. It's nice to see what each fish keepers tank set ups look like from start to finish. Great video! Thank you!

    German Reds are so beautiful but I’ve had 3 and colors were amazing and they can be a nightmare as well rehomed 2 and the 3rd was my tank boss until my haps got some size and the German Red went completely colored down and now he’s a grey fish lol every once in a while he flashes his Red for a few minutes and back to bland . I love your and the channel, can’t wait to see the 475 gallon up and running

    What is it about lwandas? I’ve never had luck with any in my main African tank. They are always too docile and end up getting beat up pretty bad. I’ve had this happen 4 times now, which sucks because I really want one in my main display

    • @CichlidBros

    The Peacocks going to be OK in with the Acara? I thought American cichlids are kept in softer water and lower PH than Africans? (not a dig, I know very little about American Cichlids... only African, so keen to understand)

    • @CichlidBros
      @CichlidBros  8 месяцев назад +2

      Yep they’ll be fine. It’s just temporary. But I also don’t chase parameters - all of my tanks have the same water. Consistency and managing nitrates is key 🔑
