Peterbilt 320 - Heil DuraPack 7000 Garbage Truck

As some of you may remember, a few years ago I shared some photos on Flickr of Basin Disposal's first CNG-powered trucks - four Peterbilt 320's with Heil DuraPack 7000 automated side load bodies. Of course, soon after, Heil announced that they were stopping production of the Formula 7000 lift-arm, making those four trucks Basin Disposal's final DuraPack 7000's.
Fast forward to now, I've finally gotten around to filming one of them on route! Out of the four, this was the only one assigned to an Ed's Disposal route, with the rest all receiving the standard Basin Disposal livery. The unique turquoise color along with the company's updated logos make this truck particularly eye-catching! And of course, the Peterbilt/Heil 7000 combo has been and always will be one of my favorite pairings!

I'm not usually a big fan of Heil Durapack 7000 but this is one fun truck to watch! Especially love the creaks and groans of the arm mixed with the growl of the whole thing really makes for a nice truck!

Damn Bryn! This truck looks so good with the CNG tank. And those new BDI SSIs look great! I just can,t get over the fact that these are the last 7000s BDI will ever get to order. To me, BDI is Known for their 7000s. The 320/7000 combo looks great. Amazing Video!

This is a pretty sweet truck. Love the creaking of the arm. The CNG Tank adds a sense of modernness if you will, with a truck you usually don’t see new. What did Ed’s disposal run? Also when were they bought out?

Ed's has been a BDI company for at least as long as I've been alive, so I have no idea what their original trucks were back in the day. I can tell you though that this truck replaced an older diesel Peterbilt 320/DuraPack 7000. But yeah, I totally agree - this is a really sharp looking truck. The turquoise paint really makes it pop!
