Making Shigaraki's hand from My Hero Academia!
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 10 мар 2020
- This hand has creeped out a fair number of people I’ve shown it to, so I’d say it was a huge success :D
Today we’re making Shigaraki’s severed hands that he has all over his body and face. I hope this will be helpful for any cosplayers who are looking for an easy and affordable, but also realistic looking, way to make their cosplay outfit of this crusty fella. And even if you’re not into cosplaying but just a My Hero Academia fan, you can make it and keep it as decoration in your room, as I did.

Hey guys! One important thing i forgot to mention in the video is that you HAVE TO shave off the hair on your hand and arm. If you dont, taking off the hand is gonna hurt like hell. I'm really sorry for the poor souls that had to endure that pain bc of my crap memory. Anyways, hope youre all doing well! Stay safe ^^
When I did this, I had just put the first layer of glue on and then I thought “wait, did you have to shave off the hair on your hand/arm” It didn’t hurt much though so :D
Hey.. where did you get the PVA glue?? I'd really like to be Shigaraki for Halloween and I like this method!
Could liquid latex work as well?
@@_mommykatsuki_7630 ooh that sounds intresting but im really not sure if that would be alright on skin or not
Can you make it with school glue?
Just imagine tomura doing this at home
Lol imagine after every UA attack they come back and shigaraki is like aahhh damit i lost 3 hands today now i gotta make them again ughhh

I'm working on my Shigaraki cosplay and this is super helpful! Thank you 🥺💞

Haha im so glad it worked for you ^^
And yes, it is indeed very creepy :P
If you liked to, id love to see how it turned out! You can share it on my social media :3
Ya like *jazz?*
Me: **WHEEZE**
So I’m using this to make my own set of hands and to cut down on time I am just going to use a realist prop hand for the body ones and put it on a stick so it can dry and use an actual hand for the face and neck ones.
Just asking but how do you get the hands to stay on your face/body?
Never watched that anime, but still looks good. Keep going with this chanel!
Aaw thank you so much ^^
You should watch it.
You won’t regret watching it:)

So are you telling me I need to make 14 of these hands? CHALLENGE ACCEPTED
.....and I am very close to giving up on this challenge and I only have a week to get this done yay me
@@Mini_Music_Makerdude, same 💀
This looks amazing!
PS: Your hands look beautiful ❤️
What about if you use a rubber glove and something to fill it with like epoxy or hot glue????? Would that work
Yea epoxy is fine but i think hot glue would melt the plastic. But the method itself isnt the best, mostly cause you cant really make the hand take the shape and form you want it to (and also it would be less realistic looking). Plus im not so sure how heavy it would turn out with epoxy, but if it is, that wouldnt be too optimal for cosplay.
@@PrettyMuchParadise you can use pipe cleaners and stuffing to make the hands with the gloves but your right it doesn't look as realistic. I tried the glue method and it worked except once an entire finger disenagrated ( sorry if that's spelled wrong lol ) And I got freaked out but it is a good method
This is genuinely awesome, you should be proud, thank you for this
Thank you so much for this tutorial. Amazing work !!! This will help me a lot for a future Tomura cosplay .
I have done this today and it actually works! It’s amazing, I’ve gotten to the hot glue part and so far it’s going well 😊 Great video! ♥️
Small tip I figured out a couple years ago for halloween instead of using glue you can buy a pack of gloves like what doctors use :) then stuff it with cotton balls it worked for me and it looked really cool hehe
Omg thanks. I’m going to def use this!
Best heckin intro of the dang decade
Ive done 2 hands already and this tut IS SO AMAZING. It is rlly time consuming snd my fingers get hella cramps BUT TYTY FOR THIS 🙏🙏 def looking forward to my finished cosplay

Thank you so much for this video. It made making these hands so much cheaper than it could've been!
This worked so so well!
Your intro is everything 🤧😭
This is amazing you deserve way more subs please do not stop
This a rather interesting method. It does save me the ache of sculpting, so this might be worth a try.
You are a lifesaver. I was losing my mind trying to figure this out. Looks like my week is full. I need a minimum of 13.
You:con:it takes super long to make.
Me: well it’s taking up time while I wait for my wig :/.
This is fair
thank you your video helped me a lot! ^^ I'm a little cosplayer and it's been a long time trying to find techniques to make the hands of Shigaraki but the result is not great 😂 so thank you very much ❤
1. This is really cool
2. I love the face on your triangle

wow your very talented looks amazing
thank you SOO much imma do this as soon as possible! my friend group and i are apparently doing a lov cosplay group and i didnt know we were doing it so soon so this tutorial REALLY helped out
Aawww it makes me so happy to hear that ^^. Good luck!
That intro is dope, I’m gonna be him for my anime club cosplay week
so helpful!! my cousin is forcing me to do a cosplay so i think I’ll do shigaraki haha. only issue is I have small hands so it might look a little funny 😅 thank u so much for this!! :D
(also this is a bit random but i really like your voice!)
Im so glad the video was helpful to you! Thank you so much for your sweet comment ^^
Thank you so much, I was looking for something like this tutorial for make my shigaraki cosplan tnx!
hi ! i’m so glad i’ve finally find an easy tutorial, thank you so much🥺 but i’m asking : isn’t it unsafed for the skin to covered it with glue? 🤔
Im so glad you found this helpful Stellou! ^^
No its totally fine and isnt harmful to your skin. You might feel some dryness in your hand afterwards, and a little moisturizer can fix that right up!
So glad I found this video, Tomura is my next project!
omg
i love this tutorial
Sheesh!
This video helped me a lot!
thnx
Thank you for making this!! I’m just getting my genderbend shigaraki cosplay together and this helped a lot
Aww i bet thats gonna look so lovely! Good luck ^^
Imma do this, thx for the idea 💕
Thanks a lot!! You're a genius!! 💙💙💙💙💙
I'm actually in the middle of doing this RN! I'm on second layer but it's taken 2 hours so far! I'll update with how it turns out!
Edit 1: it's been 3 hours and I'm finishing up the third layer been 5 hours and I'm taking it off now
Edit two: The whole thing ripped apart! I was only using a fan and I do reccomend this method but it was my fault.
Edit 3: it's the next day and I retried it and did it with no rips! I love this tutorial! It's super easy and cheap!
Oh good luck ^^ ofc it will look better the more time you spend on it! Id love to see the results if you were willing to share
Edit: oh im sorry that happened :( maybe it was because you removed it too quickly?
@@PrettyMuchParadise yup! I not only removed it to quickly but it wasn't fully dried :( I retried today and just took it off successfully with no rips! Thanks for this tutorial!
You are so underrated!
i'm forcing my dad to help me make Father. he has no say in this.
Lmao thats great ✨
Thank God I found a good tutorial, I have been stressing out 😭
One thing I noticed was if you want your prop hand to be a left hand pose your right hand accordingly. Since you flip it inside out its backwards. Just trying to help avoid you having to make more then you need since this does take a while ^^;;
Oh thank you so much for mentioning that! Theres so many small tips and details that i eventually forget to mention a few 😅
@@PrettyMuchParadise not a problem i was just reviewing it before making mine and noticed when you showed the detail it was the other hand. 👍👍👍
THANK YOU FOR THE VIDEO IT WAS VERY HELPFUL
You're very welcome, I'm glad to hear that! ^^
Just used made mine along with this video, thank you
This is amazing! But I won’t be doing this myself, because I don’t think I can keep my hand in the same position for 3 to 4 hours. Yours looks really cool though, and thank you for making the tutorial.
I really liked it I think I am gonna make it
Thank you so much
Yes, I do love this crusty dude
i need this to cover my face if i start youtube channel
You were fantastic😍👏 .... You can also make the Shinsou mask in your video?? 😁
Wish I still hand my mannequin hands could use it for that.
Just for that pun, I'm subscribing xD you are awesome
I bet deciding the hand poses for this is gonna be the definition of "what do I do with my hands???"
wow wow wow WOW!! TY SO MUCH! I WANT TO TRY IT!!!!! :D
You have inspired me to cosplay as tomura
Thing is, I'm not even gonna use this for a shiggy cosplay, I just need to make hands for a different cosplay lol This is a great tutorial!
Kira yoshikage wants to: know your location
Hi! This is an amazing tutorial, so thank you for making it! :D
I was also wondering before I make it, how sturdy are they? Do I need to worry about further tears after the glue dries?
Thank you so much!
Oh im so glad you found this helpful ^^
Yea its pretty much completely firm and sturdy once its dried 100% (that is, when you feel no dampness anywhere on it, hence why i mentioned i let it dry some more overnight). After that you dont have to worry about any tears. Ive also droped it on the ground several times by accident, and yes it was just fine :D
Okay!!! Thank you so much! :)
Yes I love this crusty dude
You probably could use spray paint, it's not water-based and it won't melt the pva glue. Plus it creates an even coat with no brushstrokes, so there's no agitation to the glue.
“You like this crusty dude?”
I made mine out of air dry clay
Wooo! Super it's brilliant 👍 love it
I hope you remember me 😊😅
you did such an awesome job!! this is going to help so much with my shigaraki cosplay!! i know this is a really dumb question, but what kind of cotton did you use? i wasn't sure if i should use regular cotton balls or craft stuffing cotton like poly-fil fiber? also do you think spray paint would work too or is that also water based?
Im so glad you found this usefull! ^^
Actually those are very good questions! At first i did think maybe poly fill fiber would be better cuz i thought it would turn out more lightweight, and thus more ideal for the cosplay use.( but used regular cotton anyway cuz thats what i had at hand :P) I think it would be just fine using poly fill fiber.
And yes, spray paint seems like a great idea for this project. Doing a quick research, it seems that spray paints come in a variety of different paint types. So i guess its down to checking the paint type of the spray paint you have at hand/ are going to buy, and then look up to see if its water based or not. Some of these explicitly say "acrylic spray paint" on the can, and some, like the one i had and wanted to test out, didnt write anything about it anywhere on the can 🤷♀️
@@PrettyMuchParadise thank you so much for taking the time to reply with tips!! i'll keep them in mind! oof i was about to use life savings for a $60 clay hand mold kit, you saved me dhdjdk 😔✊
@@smallestparticle2548 oh im so so glad this helped you out ^^ seeing others who are also into making and creating things really makes my day! If you liked to, id love to see how yours turns out at the end! You can send pictures of it to me on my social media :3
@@PrettyMuchParadise yeah for sure!! i have to order some paint online but once it comes and i get the cosplay built i'll tag you or dm you on twitter, whichever is cool with you! :D
@@smallestparticle2548 Either one is fine! Have fun and stay safe 😊
This is brilliant. Much better than mine which I filmed and uploaded to my channel... more to the point you knew how to say the name. My girls are fans but it doesn’t matter how many times I hear the name I just can’t say it. I have the same problem with game of thrones characters. Really love the video. Mine not good in comparison but I did have fun 🤩
Oh thank you so much for the nice comment ^.^ i did check out your video and i actually found it very intresting and think it was very well-made! The way you made it, makes it so much easier to give the hand the right pose and size, as some people might have smaller hands and it wont fit on their face right if they go with the method in this video. Also sorry for my late reply. I just saw your comment for the first time a month later 😅
Edit: Omgg i loved how you attached the hand to the mask, its actually so genius! Esp for cosplayers who might want to go to cons during the covid times, this way they can stay safe AND keep their cosplay props on point! Thank you so much for your video ^.^
lets keep tomura shigarakis fathers hand on my desk for decoration of his very ''LOVELy'' father
What is an alternative for the hot glue I can use?
Very nice Video
You like this crusty dude...

Shigaraki is a handy man
*Shigaraki has entered the chat*
I really like that video and it helps a lot. I used a similar method with latex, but since it's very expensive, I would like to know what kind if glue was used here.
Im so glad it was helpful to you ^^ For the glue you can use pva glue, white glue, Elmer's glue, school glue and wood glue (the kind that desolves in water)
@@PrettyMuchParadise thank you so much!
Quick question: where did you find the PVA glue at?
Love this tomura tutorial! Very helpful! Definitely prefer this over dropping ridiculous money on already made hands! Especially if you want to do more than one!
Hey there! I actually got my PVA glue from a stationary shop near my place, but you can easily find them online as well. If you want, you can also use alternatives like Elmer's school glue, white glue, wood glue (the washable kind), and mod podge (with maybe 1 or 2 extra layers, since its thinner than PVA).
*cries in small hands
I wonder if you can use varnish or something to coat the hands before painting to protect it from melting?
Thats an interesting thought! I don't have anything in mind at the moment that could help with that. It should protect the hand but also have the right texture so that the paint will stick to it afterwards.
6:30 i never thought anything would be easier then that
When you said knuckles I forgot what they were for a second ITS ON MY HAND IM STUPID
Yes I do like jazz
Cool video
Вау! Это действительно очень круто получилось! В ближайшее свобоное время займусь рукой по этомо способу
Just found this video, and I'm so excited to try out this method tonight! Do you have any social media I can tag you in for the finished results?
Oop, excuse my lack of braincells, just read the description! :D
@@caspianlarson7153 haha thats alright! I can't wait to see how yours turns out ^^
Don’t worry, all the dislikes are from the hero’s and the failed hands, or the other villains who are jealous of how good this villain is
hello, do you recommend a certain brand of PVA glue or have a link where u got yours?
Hey there! Well not really. The brand of PVA glue i got isnt that well known and i couldnt find a link for buying one online.
I just filled a glove with foil and shaped it then I paper mached it then finally painted it.
Omg thats such a genius idea!! Great job!
I have a question, does it need to be acrilic paint or just any paint which isint water colours?
Yep, any paint that isnt water based will do
wish me luck y’all cause my hand is glued right now
How'd it go 😳? because I'm doing this tomorrow
Спасибо , очень круто
