Great concept, but please get to the point. Tighten up the content - not to be mean - but I can't spend 30 minutes for 10 minutes of content. This could be a Saturday Night LIVE skit. (Don't sing - be cool - great call in, but edit and keep it short.)

I couldn't agree more. Love the content, but a busy schedule. Not criticism, just advice to make it better. Take out the fluff, and stick to the points of the matter

Maybe people could realize they have the power to SCROLL FORWARD. Rob and Paul don't OWE you anything. I. personally, laugh my ass off watching the whole show and they sometimes throw in anecdotes they didn't plan on. They purposely throw in a backdrop of the Drone U logo while the question of the day is being asked. Not too difficult to scan right past that sucker.

In many states you have to be a licensed surveyor or licensed photogrammetrist to supply mapping if the mapping is used for any type of design work. Research what your state laws are before you spend a bunch of money. If the mapping is for informational purposes only, you probably don't have to be licensed, but then there is probably not much money/ demand for information-only type mapping.

      Always listen to your clients.
Ask questions specific to their needs. The more qyestions you ask, the better prepared you will become to serve their needs in increasing capacities, and possibly assist in future needs they might not have tought of.

I agree with the previous 4 (at least) comments. We're professional and short of time. Please get to the meat of the question quickly. I thought you were getting there after 7 minutes ... now at 11.00 you're still stuffing around ... I'll persevere because your concept is good, and detail is good ONCE you get down to it. Maybe I'll look at a more recent vid, and subscribe if the brevity is there ...

Just found you guys...You might get a little more serious and not quite so much laughing as that takes our time away from learning. Question:
The Inspire 2 is works fine with the Zenmuse 4X and 5X cameras. The issue is I need it for the XT camera and DJI doesn't see the applications for it. I didn't want an Inspire 1 as flying time is too short. The new Matrice 210 takes all three cameras. Its a firmware issue is what I get from everyone EXCEPT DJI. They won't tell me what I have found out from dealers and they don't seem to care. The I2 does more than just Make movies! I couldn't afford the Matrice 100 and it is so big it ends up being awkward to haul around although I would love 2 cameras on my I2 since that is actually what I purchased it for but finding out later I could not have the XT camera work due to firmware. Search and Rescue and commercial Inspections was the intent and it flies like a dream! Still dying for the Cendence controller and the Crystal sky monitors. Already bought and paid for a 5.5 and the 7.8 monitors on Preorder. the Cendence will be really great, if it ever really comes out.
    Regards,
    Scot

When talking about monitors, IPS is an acronym for internal plane switching. If your a monitor is not an IPS monitor almost everything about the image will be inferior and one of the main issues is that you can't see it accurately if you're even a little bit off-center. They said that nobody color calibrates but that's not correct. Anybody who's a real photographer or retoucher uses a high-quality monitor and calibrates it. The best monitors for color accuracy are eizo and a particular line of NEC. There are a couple others that are cheaper, in between the high-end and the garbage.
Most common color calibration systems are x-rite and colormunki

GRUNT IND ~ Great for this work, with D-RTK you have a known base station point and known aircraft point. Screen capture Aircraft point as the exit data on jpeg is from ship gps, not system ( base to rover) gps point. Adding an Emlid is an option. One steady, reliable UAV, rock solid in the air, wind, rain. EMI interference no longer a problem.

Coming from an IT guy, you're wrong about the "insecurity" of Windows. Windows has a larger market-share, therefore it's the main target for malware. If that was to change and Mac had the larger market-share, it would be attacked as much as Windows is today.

    • @bikez7641
      @bikez7641 6 лет назад

The inspire 1 is on par when it comes to camera quality but besides that the p4p wins at everything, inteligent flight modes and longer flight times are just a couple of things, plus the inspire 1 is $500 more. Happy flying!

    Big difference between systems.
Mac has one source, PC users have millions.
Memory makes the biggest difference, then video memory on a good video processor.
PC systems have more users, and more nefarious users as well.
Apple is a higher base cost for adequate usage.
Initial cost is far in excess of PC systems, and tcustomization for PC systems is far easier and less costly.
    Software is key also.
Nothing in the computer market is equal, everything has a unique niche, one platform is not the end all for everybody.

The main problem with Paul Windows computers wasn't Microsoft, it was Dell. I'm glad he's had a good experience with Max but many including myself will tell you that they do break and when they do it's a pain in the ass to bring it to a Mac store to pay for it overly expensive repair, if Apple will even sell you the parts

I don't see how you're going to get any information from a DSLR slung under a Matrice that you won't get from a quality 4K camera on a P4 Pro or Mavic. Maybe if you opt for a thermal camera or something, but when you can fly 20ft from what you're taking a picture of, a 12MP raw image is pretty damn informative.
