Precise, to the point, no gibberish. I see you growing stronger✌
after watching hours of reviews on this product this is by far the best one. Well done!! Lots of b roll and addressing questions. Very entertaining and i didn't want to click away once.
Thanks man! Glad you liked it! Have a great weekend ;)
It's like watching a movie, with one actor of course😂😂
This is exactly what I needed!!! Thanks!!!
Appreciate the section on still photography as that's my primary. I already have my light modifiers for my flash gear (GODOX) so being able to use them with the SL60W will be nice.
Thank you for your *Input/Review* , as I am thinking to get one of these with *Softbox* on *Amazon* ... Hope to see more contents like this as usual.Remember *Life* is *Short* so, *Live Long* and *Prosper* ... *_Take Care of Yourself and Each Other & Stay Safe_*
love your energy and information- appreciate this production!
Thanks! Much appreciated :)
Thanks paul, very informative video, i am going to pick up this light!!!
One of the best explanations on youtube so far! Keep up the good work, hope you will gen at least 1M subscribers!
Thanks! Would amazing to reach 1M ;)
Great production quality, nice format, well done & thank you!
Thanks! Glad you liked it!
Entertaining and informative. Thank you for this review!
I ordered mine today. After ordering the light, I saw that it was not good enough for slow motion in some videos. But this video has convinced me that it will suffice to what I need.
Thanks so much!
Edit--- Awesome video! Very apple the way it's layed out🤗
Thanks man! Yeah, I made this video to show you can get awesome results with it, even in slow motion 😉
Best review of the godox so far, I like seeing it in the field
Thanks! Glad you liked it
Man I really like the way you deliver information it's straight to the point no bs.
Actually it's all B.S. This whole channel is nothing more than a walking advertisement. It's as seen on TV. Dishonest reviews for a commission check.
GREAT video. Im sold, getting this set up!
Awesome video! Great advice and really helpful
Thanks for the video! Very informative
Keep it up..✌❤
Love to see more videos from you
Thanks, man 🙏🏼
great review man. well done ;) good on point
Great review thanks for the insights!!
Nice review. Loving the background/ lights too🙌
Thanks, Holly. I’m quite happy with the lighting as well😁
Yo, this vid is niiice! Thanks Paul for the help 👌🏾
Thanks! Much appreciated 🙏🏼
Thanks this is helpful I'm planning to buy this one.
Really nice video, honest and very pleasing color grade. Keep it up mate. ✌️
Cheers, mate! Happy you liked it :)
Thanks a lot for such a comprehensive and entertaining review!! It was really awesome to see examples shots taken with the light!!!

Awesome video!
thanx much appreciated for the information i was searching for an economical light for food and product photography and this video release much doubts I had thanks once again
Great to hear man! Thanks for sharing
another nice review!
Man this was an excellent video yet it doesnt show when you look for sl60. Underrated! Thanks man, great inspiration with the smoke machine too
Thanks man! Yeah, you gotta get a smoke machine ;)
Dude you and your content are amazing💪🏻 thanks

Nice video bro!
Thanks, bro!
Great info. Subbed.
Perfect video!
The way you lighted your video makes me think that i can completely trust you😂. Thank you so much ❤
nice video man !!! I will get this light in this month :D
Cool! Thanks man ;)
Great review ! Jinbei released the brighter EF 60II with the possibility to power it with 2 NPF batteries at half power, similar price although remote sold separately. And if that's not good news. Beiyang released a 150W light with bowens mount and CRI>97 for not much more, although I haven't tried it. The Jinbei is pretty quiet too, I just got that one with a 140cm Octabox by Godox.
Thanks for the info! Lights are getting cheaper and better by the minute it seems. 2021 is gonna be awesome regarding lights ;)
Just loved your talking style.. subbed ..
I also want to buy a affordable light. You made everything clear. Thank you .
Thanks man! Great to hear!
BEST REVIEW FOR THIS LIGHT😱😱😍😍😍😍....

Great review thanks so much
Thanks! I’m glad you liked it :)
Very well done! Love the lighting and color contrast you have going on for this. What camera and lens are you working with in this video?
Thanks! I’m using a Canon 1dx mark ii and a Tamron 24-70mm f2.8 g2 lens.
Nice
Great review. Your quality! Second one on the way.
Thanks! I wish I had two ;)
Great video!
Great video! I have two SL60Ws and need to get some softboxes.. One note for you - if you change the colour temperature one the remote to 5600K, it will go all the way down to 10%. It’s silly as the lights are fixed at 5600K, but it fixes the 25% bug nonetheless!
Hey! Yeah, I know. There’s been others commenting the same tip. Thanks anyway :)
Very useful! Thx!
Thanks again ;)
Thank for a great video. I Just got a Godox SL-60W today. It had a note on the box to say that as of 19 March 2021 the remote control has to be purchased separately. Don't think I'll bother.
What?! Remote control no longer included? Weird decision to save costs, as it is pretty basic. Apart from that I’m sure you’re gonna love the light ;)
1:54 oh man i love that! Reminds me of some people with 100k equipment flaming low budget equip :)
Hahaha! Right? ;)
@@PaulHeimlund Yea so true. Just buy a ferrari and then flame under every other car video you can find because you now got the best and most expensive car :D

This should have more views. Good looking out man. Just bought my kit (Light, Softbox, Stand). $160 on eBay. Crazy. You can buy 2 for $250.
Thanks, man! Wow! You got a great deal! I’m sure you’re gonna crush it with it :)
Just ordered mine
did you buy the kit used? seeing a few sellers on ebay with the same prices but not sure which seller to trust lol
Good Video! I have the SL60W and just recently added the VL150 Great lights for the money.
any "noise" issues noticeably to affect your audio?
@@vizualizefilmsllc6225 The SL60W can be quite noisy if you have a mic near it while shooting but the VL150 fan doesn't even kick in until you reach above 60-70% power and then it's very quiet.
@@IsomPhilips Interesting, so for intimate scenes talking head pieces, if the light is lets say 3 feet or closer, noise can be a problem?
@@vizualizefilmsllc6225 If you're using the SL60W and the mic is 3ft away from the light the fan noise shouldn't be audible if you are using a mic with a cardioid or super cardioid pattern. Plus, there are different production models of the SL60W. Earlier ones had noisier fans while the more recent ones are much quieter. With the Godox VL150 fan noise is not even an isssue.
@@IsomPhilips got it! I just bought the SL60W about 4 months ago. havent really tested in, will this weekend, but thats very valuable info, thank you!
I'm quite enjoying my Godox ML60, which has the same power output, just in a more portable package :)
I'm honestly sold on it. For the price, I think it is sufficient enough. I primarily only do photography, I wanted to go for flash, but for some reason speedlites are not sold with a wireless receiver 🤔 the price for both is more than a continuous light.
Godox sl60w is a great light . Short and precise . As usual eye pleasing 👌🏻 btw what’s the effect used for text reveal in this video ?
Thanks!
I've used an After Effects template from envato market. Follow this link and search for BROADCAST TITLES TYPEX: 1.envato.market/q4PY
if you want to lower the light to 10% with the remote you just have to make sure that the remote is set to 5600k and then you can lower it .
i hope you like the comment so more people can see it
Thanks, @Jimmy Olsson has already mentioned that in a comment here. But thanks anyway! :)
Good stuffs:)
Thanks ;)
useful information
Great review, Paul. About the remote. You have set it to 5600K to lower the brightness level to 10%! That's because it's a generic remote.
I have a Godox P260C LED Panel where you use the same remote and on the P260C you can also change the colour temperature from 3300K to 5600K.
The best thing is that I can group my SL-60W and my P260C and control them with the same remote if I want to. The colour temperature will of course be daylight temperature at 5600K then because the SL-60W is fixed at that. 😊
Thanks for the feedback and tip, Jimmy!
@@PaulHeimlund You're welcome! Really like your style! Keep it coming! 👍
thanks for the effort and sharing. on your video, how close was the edge of the light modifier to you? think you can remember f/stop and iso used? thumbs up.

The softbox was about 4ft away. The f stop was most likely 2.8 and the iso 400 :)
Great!
Thanks! 🙏🏼
Very nice video.....
Thanks :)
Hi thanks for the video, i do outdoor photography but looking at this godex sl 60 would you think its a good starter light to use. regards Lee
Hey Lee! I’m posting a video on Monday where I’m reviewing a new light which would be perfect for your use. It’s much brighter than the Godox, amazing color accuracy, and you can power it with batteries! Check out this link: amzn.to/3rgDHsV
Very thorough review and straight to the point--just subbed to your channel! Question about the softbox: would you say that the 42 in softbox would be a big improvement over the 34 in model in terms of softness / light quality? If I understand correctly, the Aputure Light Dome II is 35 in, so the 42 in is even bigger. I'm trying to set up a YT talking head desk setup in my home office and I'm not sure if the 42 in model is too deep. Do you happen to know the depth of the softbox?
The 42 in is huuuuge! There’s very little difference between the 42 and 34 inch in functionality. I’m actually getting the 34 inch soon, as the 42 takes up way to much space. Not sure about the depth, but if it’s for talking head at home, I’d go for the 34 in. You’ll thank me later ;)
Thanks again!
@@PaulHeimlund Ah I see. One more question if you don't mind: I see in your description you have linked a "smaller softbox" which is 35 inches in diameter but much deeper like the Light Dome ii from Aputure, whereas the 34 inch one I was referencing is the smaller version of what you have in this video (42 inch softbox). Do you think you will end up with the smaller version of what you currently have or would the deep parabolic 35 inch softbox be better in terms of light quality? Space is important, but I also want the best quality of light, so I'm undecided between the two. Thank you!
@@BackpackingVideos Sure! There has been tests done on the effect a parabolic softbox has, compared to a normal, flatter one and there’s no difference. Check out a video made by Karl Taylor, where he shows this in detail. Try searching his name and add parabolic softbox and it should come up. Lemme know if that answers your questions :)
@@PaulHeimlund Thanks, I'll have to check out that video! Do you plan then to get the shallower one here? (the smaller version of your current 42" one) www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07XKSR63M/ref=ox_sc_act_title_3?smid=A3A00RPL943XFO&psc=1 I'm super impressed with the results you are getting with your light setup
@@BackpackingVideos FYI my current one is the deep one ;) and I’ll probably get the same in 34, as I know I have space for it
Yo man I bought the Godox sl60w and the neweer softbox you recommend but it seems this softbox is not a good choice at all since it insanely reduce the brightness and make it not usable at all. I need to set the camera iso to over 1000 to make it work. Have you really tested this combo out and what did you make it work may I ask?
U got one subscriber from me 👏
Great vid. Where are you getting those awesome titles from?
Thanks! The titles are an After Effects template I purchased from Envato. Should be a link in video description ;)

@@voizetvsl Hey! Just checked your latest video. Your lighting is great, but you need a rim light to separate you from the background. Hi, how much light do you use for this video? one?
What was the iso, white balance for the slow-mo?
Great review Paul, How do you think this compares to the ad600 model light for video, not taking into consideration the noise.
Cheers, Martin! If I’m not mistaken the ad600 is a powerful flash/strobe light, not useful for video. If you need a stronger light for video, check out the Godox vl150: amzn.to/3mjvm35
Let me know if this answers your question ;)
@@PaulHeimlund Hi Paul, it is a flash light but has a strong model light, was just curious on your opinion.. No worries I’ll look at the stronger 150
@@Martin_Poole the modelling light on the ad600 is nowhere near these constant lights, that light is not there to light a scene rather than to see were the light is actually going to hit
@@alanpelton2598Thanks...Read my reply to Paul...
Subscribed as soon as I watched your video. A really nice video for GODOX SL-60W. I bought it and its really good. However, I have one problem. I'm using this with a Neewer 36 Inches Octagon softbox (with two diffusers installed) to take vegetable photos and the light doesn't look really soft. I can still see the reflection of the light on the veggies as a very shiny spot. It almost looks like I'm not using a softbox. I am not sure how to fix that. I really appreciate anyone's help! Thank you!

Try moving the Godox really close to the vegetables on low intensity vs further away on higher intensity. You should find a median that works for you. If not let me know ;)

Pro tip -
I bought myself a portable battery power supply from Amazon - www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B08G1QWH97/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
It works perfectly with this light. I can plug the light into the AC outlet on the power supply and run the light outside on location.
The listing says it runs on gasoline lol - it doesn't. It's Lithium-Ion batteries. It outputs a pure sine wave which makes it perfect for LED lights. The UK version only has one AC outlet but you can connect and extension lead.
I haven't fully tested how long the battery lasts though, it's lasted long enough for what I've used it for so far. You can be conservative and turn off the light in-between takes.
Because it is 300w, I can connect and extension lead and run multiple SL60Ws (as long as they don't collectively exceed 300w). But I guess battery life would be drastically shortened running multiple lights off of one power supply.
I would definitely buy more as it is very handy outside of filming too, as emergency power for camping etc.
Hi Paul, I don't have the remote, the light came without it, how can I adjust the color temperature without the remote? Thanks 🙏
This light is only daylight balanced😬
Will any tripod fit on that?
does it have a built in battery?

Hi Paul - great video!
Where are you from, if you don't mind me asking? From your Insta you seem to live in Spain, but I doubt that you're Spanish with the name Heimlund and that accent. I would guess Swedish from "-lund" and the accent but it could easily be Danish, Norwegian or German... I dunno, I'm curious though haha.
Hey!
Yupp, I’m Norwegian but living in Spain. I guess you’re from Iceland? Always nice to see fellow Nordics dropping by my channel ;)
Oh, and thanks! Glad you liked the video!
Hi and congratulations for the very clear video. Could you help me with one thing? I am planning to buy a green screen (3 metre large, 6 tall) and I was wondering how many lights I need? This green screen is supposed to film one or two persons with no particular actions, most of the time sitting. Do you think that two sl60 to enlight the screen and one Sl 60 for the subject are enought? Or should I consider a sl 100 or 150 for the subject? Thanks a lot and good luck
Hey! If you have the budget I’d go for 4 sl-60. Two for the screen, one for the subject, and one rim light to separate the subject better from the green screen. If the subject is more than 2 meters from the main light, you might need the stronger sl 150.
Hope this helps ;)
@@PaulHeimlund Thanks Paul, this definitely help and first of all thanks for replaying me! So, I would definitely go for two SL60 for the screen. Do you suggest that for the subject two lights would be enough, 1x SL60 as key light (or 150 if distanze from subject from screen is more than 2 m) and 1x SL 60 as hair/backlight? Do you think that is such a situation a 3rd light as fill light could not be necessary? Again, 1000x THANKS :-)
@@fulviotrincacolonel6056 No problem, mate!
If you have a nice big softbox on the key light, it should be enough. You could use a reflector as a fill “light”. If your budget allows it you could go for a 3rd sl-60 for the subject as a fill light, just to be on the safe side ;)
@@PaulHeimlund Thanks mate! Do you think that a soft box like the one below could work? Or would you suggest me a better one?

Cool. I think it will do the job. But as it interests me as well, I’d like to do a test within a couple of days and get back to you. Sounds good? I don’t want to recommend it if it’s not strong enough 😉
@@PaulHeimlund ya thanks man for helping out I'll wait for review 🙏
Great! Looking forward to it 📷
Ciaoo!
Does this light flicker when used at 60fps or higher?
Answered in the video…
@@PaulHeimlund I appreciate this. I purchased the SL 150W and couldn't find anyone addressing this issue. Not sure if you've used it any feedback on it. Thanks.
@@jmo4347 It should be fine. AND very bright! ;)
@@PaulHeimlund Awesome. Thanks for the info. Subscribed.
Please your parabolic softbox is 90 or 120L?
It’s the 120, but it’s a bit too big ;)
So if i buy a 90L thats good?
@@khaleedvlogs Yeah! I’m gonna buy the 90 as well. The 120 is huuuuuge!!!

How about filming people?

Just checked them and they’re working fine. However, it might be sold out in your region…
@@PaulHeimlund can you please tell me the model no?
hahahah you say ther is no flickering with this light but its clearly can be seen in your infront bokeh balls :D
It’s the fairy lights flickering, not the Godox
