Very interesting to watch how you causally describe very serious work on this engine. I know you know your stuff and would trust you over and MB dealer any day. What were the symptoms on this car that the chain was going and was this due to lack of maintenance (sounds like from your closing comments on the video that this car may not get all the TLC it needs?). Finally what sort of mileage are we talking about? 👍👍

651 engine is more reliable from experience, as long as oil changes are made on time and if noise coming from timing chain to replace it as soon as posible

Around 100000 miles camshaft and rockerarm problem occurs. Timing chain and oil pump problem occurs at around 150000 miles

Yes with the OM 654 engine mounted you will still have the same problem after 100,000 miles. The same problem arises on the OM656 engine
