@@TheAdventureBuddies for us as a family it is all about diving and snorkeling 🤿, but also sightseeing and visiting local islands and meet more of the friendliest people on this planet. This time we will be going on a 7 days Captain Cook cruise to the remote Lau group. This past February we went on a shorter cruise around the yasawa islands. It was great and we would highly recommend it.
A few years back we did a sightseeing tour around Viti Levu. Visited the sleeping giant park and gardens;
lots of out of the beaten path waterfalls,
did zip lining;
Went to the mud lakes, which are supposed to be healing and are definitely good for your body and skin.
Visted the temple, explored Nadi, ate amazing food. That time we stayed on Denarau in a hotel, so we also got to go to the waterpark with our kids.
We hired a local guide who drove us everywhere and showed us the everything and anything we wanted to see or do. I would definitely recommend that as well. It is a very different prospective than just staying at resort. In the past we stayed on Taveuni, Kadavu and Savu Savu islands/places. Very different feel on each island. Taveuni is more “modern”, Kadavu is rustic and remote, Savu savu is in the middle I would say.
We started taking our kids, boy and a girl, to 🇫🇯 when they were about 10 and 8. Now they are 16 and 14. They love Fiji just as much as we do. We are a world traveling family as well, Europe and South Pacific, iceland, Maldives 🇲🇻, and of course all over US, we live in San Diego, but Fiji is just very special to us and we are hoping to go back again and again.
