When picturing Fiji, you envision a tranquil tropical paradise… right? However, our experience differed; We were evacuated on the second day off Mana Island, spending the next three days in Nadi without power and limited resources as Tropical Cyclone Mal passed Fiji.
Despite the unexpected turn of events, we embraced the challenge. If you’ve ever wondered what’s it’s like to be in the eye of a hurricane, join us on this journey.
Thankfully no deaths or injuries were reported.

Hey! The transport was booked through the hostel Ratu Kini backpackers. You can email them and then pay cash once you get there. The Airbnb was on the coral coast right near Maui jetty on Nadi! Cheers!
