    The best guitarist no one had ever heard of. What a gifted dude. And the chops to step into it with rock royalty like Ginger Baker and Jack Bruce. Kid had some stones!

    always loved jacks bass, i usually like guys who play straighter but he can be busy as hell but still very musical with it and fitting in the song, no an easy thing to do, mans a fucking legend..

    My favorite is the stuff Jack Bruce did with Robin Trower like BLT. Love Blues too, great musicians!

      I agree with you my friend"Seven Moons"…it's probably the best album Robin Trower record ever made without James Dewar as the lead vocalist and bass player...... Jack Bruce is absolutely phenomenal on that record.

    wow, Baker plays light

    • @ziggylayneable
      @ziggylayneable 5 лет назад +3

      You're definitely right. Baker is playing incredibly light. That's very unlike what you usually hear and see out of him. When you listen to like cream live at the Fillmore wheels of fire, you can hear Jack's bass going all over the place. And it's incredible he's the man, but I think he's probably holding back a little bit here to let this young boy shine.I think Blues saraceno is one of those dudes who kind of flew under most people's radar and never really got the recognition he deserved. I mean I know he has a following & all,but he deserves to be up there with a lot of other big-name guys like Gilbert, Bettencourt,Satch,Vai ...etc. you get the idea. Although it took me five years to run across this video...lol.....(R.I.P. Jack).

      It does; Bruce was wrong about that. But we don't like him because of his lexical knowledge. ;-)

    • @FramrodLiggins
      @FramrodLiggins 3 года назад +1

      No I think you've got it a little wrong. The kid is 17 years old has probably never played on a stage this big with his superheroes.
      Sure he overplayed but so many people overplay that it really makes you understand how great Eric Clapton really is. Not just his chops but his MUSICALITY and feeling for the music that he is playing when he's playing it.
      Just like I did when I was a teenager sometimes I'm only really listening to Ginger and Jack.
      They were by far the greatest drum and bass duo of their time.
      As a matter of fact I cannot think of a bass and drum do all that has ever been better in rock music.
      Bonham and Jones were good
      Buddy Miles and Billy Cox were also great but for totally different reasons.
      Anyways.. don't be so hard on the kid. He got better.

    I saw them on this tour at the Ritz in NYC. They were tight. I am in the minority with regard to Saraceno. I didn't care for his over the top playing or tone. He at least at that time, was not nearly seasoned or inventive enough to be playing with Jack and Ginger. His solos tended to stay in one spot with no regard for the chord changes lyricism or dynamics. It's like Slash playing with Jack and Ginger. No sir.

      I agree, not a great match in Blues Saraceno. However, I do have to give it to Blues for the excellent sense of rhythm here and his note selection was good too. Just the wrong style for the song.

    I always wished I could play guitar like Blues Saraceno, but I can never grow hair like that so I think it's out of the realm of possibility at this stage of my midlife crisis........"Beware of mean old mister Baker"

    Pretty poor playing all the way around. Blues’ playing doesn’t do justice to the song at all. The rest of the band sound pretty out of their element as a result. I love Saraceno but this just doesn’t work at all. Great player but wrong player for the job.
