BLUES SARACENO with Jack Bruce and Ginger Baker live at Toad's Place in New Haven Ct Feb 11th 1990 SUNSHINE OF YOUR LOVE
The outstanding drummer of his generation.
Great Ginger. Bless Saraceno: ugh...all metal pyrotechnics with none of Clapton's feel and phrasing. He doesn't even belong in this band...a poor fit
Blues Saraceno is a top-tier guitar god! His tone and phrasing are all second to none!
Excellent creative playing from Mister Ginger and many unhinged animals in the audence, who rather listen to their own screams :)
One of my top 5 rock drummers...Very creative and different...Saw him 3 times with Cream, once with Blind Faith, and here at Toad's place in New Haven,Ct...I saw myself in the video on stage left....right near Ginger....He was spot on on this night.
I was there.
I was there....Right at the end of the stage.
I was there....I just saw myself....I could reach out and touch Ginger Bakers drums.....
This kid can play, what happened to him?
Jack was reborn playing with the youngun. Looked like he was really enjoying it. The kid played well. 17. Unbelievable
The Original cant be surpassed . But this is interesting , different - and weirdly cool !
Bruce’s voice had aged wonderfully.

The best guitarist no one had ever heard of. What a gifted dude. And the chops to step into it with rock royalty like Ginger Baker and Jack Bruce. Kid had some stones!
Man i remember when i kept hearing ads for “Blues Saraceno” all over the radio around this time …i think it was for lessons or something though ..this was around the time i was hitting toads most and i dont recall ever hearing about this line up till just now 🤷🏼♂️ i wouldve went if i did for sure ….✌️
I just came here too..did not know this! And these guys playing a joint this size🤯
Kid was probably thinking Clapton pfff ill carve that ol geeza up drunk and stoned in my sleep 😅 i know i would 😎
Hot Damn outrageous!
The best
Perfectly
1:44 Ginger drops a stick. Never seen him drop a stick before.
Spectacular ! A monster !!
I was there. Best concert ever (for me). On the way out confronted by beggars that removed their shoes in the frigid cold to expose their blistered souls and beg for sustenance.
Pretty poor playing all the way around. Blues’ playing doesn’t do justice to the song at all. The rest of the band sound pretty out of their element as a result. I love Saraceno but this just doesn’t work at all. Great player but wrong player for the job.
WTFRU?
I was there. I rushed the stage when they played this. I can hear myself screaming, "GINGER!!!" in the audience.
I was there too. I saw Ginger walk on the stage with a roadie with his ever present cigarette
@@josephesposito3499 Yes, he came in through the back door halfway through the show and strode through the audience to the stage. I seem to recall he was wearing the trench coat he had on for the BBM album cover.
@@Smokey_da_Bear Yes he played half the show AFTER the other drummer gave contrast to how great Ginger was. That girl band that warmed up the audience was terrible and too loud if you remember
@@josephesposito3499 Girl band? I was one of the first people in line at the door and grabbed a stool at the bar long before the show. It was strictly a Jack and Ginger show as I recall (could be a little fuzzy on that). On one trip back from doing one-hitters in the men's room I walked past the green room and Jack was in the doorway warming up on bass. I exchanged a few words and went back to my seat which was being held for me by the girl I was with. It was a very cold February night and I remember a shoe-less beggar on the street when we left Toad's. Are you sure you were at that show? Jack and Ginger played there once before that show.
@@Smokey_da_Bear YES I WAS AT >BOTH SHOWS at Toads place and there was a girl band that warmed up. Maybe we were at different shows? I was told the show I SAW was the 4th date at the beginning of the tour. I then saw them AGAIN at Toads at the END of the tour. I also remember Jack saying: "boy it's cold MAN" so I was at both shows and there was a girl band that warmed up at one of them. btw they SUCKED LOL
to all other drummers take a lesson
ludwig forever
Did Cream really need Clapton? Jack Bruce is (was) brilliant on his own.
He new he was good and he had a reason to know it.
Ginger Baker i was familiar with, but Jack Bruce is a new introduction .. really cool sound . thanks for sharing .. thanks for the intro youTubeMusic
Ginger Baker,Jack Bruce,Eric Clapton.....CREAM...
Love Blues Saraceno
Amazing stamina!
🤦 Unbelievable
I show this tour when I was a kid , my father took me to the local Philly bar, wow. I remember this.
The solo is great as always, but the way the guitar player butchered the intro and outro is just ugly and cheesy as fuck. I wonder what Ginger thought of it, this seems contrary to everything he stood for as a musician
Actually his face at 0:13 gives us something of a clue
I remember seeing these guys play together with my dad at small club in Philadelphia. A long time ago.
grande , unico , creativo , armonioso , il maestro Ginger
Much more better than john bonham, He destroy him HERE!!!
Too bad about the guitar player but what a great solo! Saw Ginger in 2010 in Minneapolis at a jazz club outta sight he was sick as a dog had to take more than one break for " the technicolor yawn " as he phrased it and he still played fantastic all jazz no cream ( from what I remember ) at one point he gave a shout-out to Cyril Davies of all people who I think may have been in Graham Bond Organization w Baker
No I'm wrong on that Davies knew him but was in Blues Incorporated...anyway love Mr. Baker
Blues seriously is one of the bests
I N C R E I B L E!!!!
I really like the words to White Room as well as obviously the music.

Superman
Not all gigs are great ones...
God bless whoever posted this. Saw ginger. Saw Eric. Never saw jack tho his star shine forever
always loved jacks bass, i usually like guys who play straighter but he can be busy as hell but still very musical with it and fitting in the song, no an easy thing to do, mans a fucking legend..
sick bass too omg..
his vibrato is too wide on the 5/4 intro section imho the rest is next level shit....
Mr. Baker The absolute best.
Damn good...different. But damn, love it.
