Francie is such a beautiful doll, and her bangs are perfect! I enjoyed the history of Francie as well. I'm sure the "decision makers" at Mattel never anticipated Francie would gain such value and acclaim.

I always thought francies mold worked so well with her AA version. Such a shame so few were made and it’s so hard to purchase them! She’s looks fabulous!

Fabulous ! I love it. My only Mattel chidhood doll is à AA Francie 2d issue. She's in perfect condition, and I bought recently the 2022 reproduction who is beautifull too... It's my favorite fashion doll. I love what you do whit her !

I don’t have an original AA Francie so I decided to make one. I dyed the doll using Rit powdered dye. The head came out good but the body was blotchy so ended up spray painting it. I repainted her eyebrows black as the dye does not cover the original face paint so it’s a good guide. She’s my reproduction and I like her. Maybe someday I’ll find an original. 😊 too bad I can’t attach a picture of my doll.

I'm trying to get up the nerve to fix my reproduction Francie's rooted eyelashes which got pulled inside her head by the long neck piece of a Made to Move body I was trying on on her😬😅
Does it fit!!! ????? I want a M2M body for my Francie!
@@tinytinkerbell565 It does! But not without caution.
I used latest Francie reproduction and the BMR 1959 AA petite doll that came with the lavender Bantu knot buns for a near perfect skin tone match and to keep my Francie petite so I can still use the vintage Francie sewing pattern I bought.
Just letting you know be careful with this head swap the neck I had to squash the head down to get it on which caused the lashes to get pulled inside the head.
Anyway the MTM bodies do have slightly longer necks than the old originals and the Francie neck opening is smaller and quite tight so it sits up slightly high on the neck. I've thought about going in with a scalpel to take a sliver from the inside head opening to widen it but I haven't attempted this yet.
In the meantime I have her in a cropped denim jacked with the collar up to disguise the long neck, still she is very cute.
Let me know how it goes and if you perform a successful surgery to widen the neck opening please film and share. 💖
.... Also I just head swapped my reproduction Malibu Christie onto the latest Looks doll #15 body for another perfect skin tone match and no problems with the neck fit. YES 💪 Christie looks even more amazing now!! 😍

This doll belonged to a customer of mine. She wanted her original head with original length hair. I'm sure this doll would look stunning with longer hair as well. Maybe in the future I can give an AA Francie longer hair :)

Beautiful! Don’t you use glue to fix the hair inside the head and avoid it comes out when styling?
