I think because the 1 in the magazine looks more like the Talking PJ doll in the face.
Even though they use the same MIDGE head mold, i can always see a difference in the face of the Talking PJ & the TNT PJ. I believe it's because the Talking PJ has black rooted eyelashes & TNT PJ has brown rooted eyelashes. I always prefer the TNT PJ face over the Talking PJ.
She looks beautiful. Mattel should bring the doll back .

So much talent! I think if I did the restoration, I would point the hairpin away from the face so it doesn't scratch the face plastic or the eyepaint. All in all, you've done another outstanding doll restoration and that's why I subscribed. 😍

I was just wondering something...
I wonder if this PJ was going to be Mattel's 1970'S version of PJ, with a flip hairstyle, to match with Marlo flip BARBIE, short flip STACEY, and the flip hairstyles of Walking JAMIE, BARBIE, STEFFI?
It would be cute to see all these flippy hippie hairstyled girls all together.

Amazing how you turned this girl in a amazing ooak prototype, do you think t is possible to redo with the original hair?
The part wouldn't be in the correct spot as the prototype but it's a personal choice I guess :)
