I think the speakers are too close to the listening position. Some NS10 or Mixcubes are ok on the desk, but the 3ways work better on stands in my opinion.
Edward, congrats on new console! It's really nice. It was approximately $4,000? Was it plywood or particleboard? The rack mounts incorporate well thought out angles w/convenient 19" rack strips embedded. Smart investments make a world of difference when engaged in long hours of recording & editing. Don't overlook your power conditioner/ protection in conjunction with excellent seating for ergonomic comfort & orthopedic support. Now, go make music! God bless.

Their desks are beautiful. Since my backdrop is wood, the colors wood clash a bit… not to mention their price is a bit outta my budget 🙈😂

Have you looked at Argosy Console? I think they make some of the best desks on the market that set standards. They are like the staple in pretty every major recording facility around the world. I had the Halo for about 3 years. Its a tank built to last for decades thats constructed of a heavly duty steel metal frame and MDF.
Argosy desks look epic!!! A bit outta my budget though 🙈😂

Why have people started using the term “colorway”. It’s stupid. Just say color. We know what you mean. No need to augment a two syllable word that’s perfectly appropriate
It's not difficult to build your own. I bought the keyboard tray rails for less than £10 the pair, some timber frame cuts, and a cut off kitchen worktop (free from a kitchen company) and I am not a carpenter. You can buy rack mount rails, and cut to length for your gear. It took me a few hours to build what would typically cost me a lot of money, and mine cost a total of £45 including everything. What's better about building your own unit is that you can 100% design it exactly for your purposes, and unlike a manufactured desk, you are left with some change for effects, synths, or whatever savings.
