I was about to complain about 25k for that Lincoln but as clean as it is you can hope the owner took care of it and you might get another 50k or five years in it which isn’t bad for 25k.
Not really. Used car prices are up because supply is low. Covid hampered production a bit and new car inventory built up a lot last year. That means people held onto their cars for longer. The final piece is auto salvage. I'm curious what those numbers are.
These new cars are insane, I own a $2700 2000 Rodeo 5 speed 256k miles, $3000 03 Matrix 5 speed 210k miles, and a $5000 08 BMW 325i 172k miles. All of them are perfect for their age, they've sat outside their whole life and have very minor paint issues and no mechanical issues. Its crazy that cars made in the late 2010s and 2020s cant withstand more than a few years of work. My Rodeo is 25 YEARS OLD, and its clear coat is still in decent shape for its age. This is why im perfectly fine with NEVER making payments on a new vehicle, because Im certain it wont hold up near as long as my ole reliables. I buy construction equipment so I figured why not check out the cars while I'm there which I never have. The prices are going up and the quality of the inventory is just so - so. I just went by a bunch of dealerships out here in Vegas and no one is buying cars, they are full to the brim with cars for months now. Those cats are in pretend to sell car land... I'm still driving a 94 Civic EG8 that I bought ten years ago... no payment. I will do another engine swap when I have to again rather than get a payment...
I was about to complain about 25k for that Lincoln but as clean as it is you can hope the owner took care of it and you might get another 50k or five years in it which isn’t bad for 25k.
car market is done, they have no room for new cars because there's so many old ones
Not really. Used car prices are up because supply is low. Covid hampered production a bit and new car inventory built up a lot last year. That means people held onto their cars for longer. The final piece is auto salvage. I'm curious what those numbers are.
My buddy had his 15 Suburbans hood do the same They had to repaint it, wasn’t able to paint correct it
The scratches/clear coat being gone could come from excessive amounts of automatic car washes. 🤷 Love the channel.
doubtful, more likely its from neglect, Likely its was parked in the direct sun and never really got waxed
By the way, I feed my dog Sundays. He loves it, and it has fixed alot of nutritional issues for him.
the same Cadillac with the bad hood is back at the auction @ 9:38.... HHmmmmmm
I had a 1987 mustang and loved it! Easy to get in and out of too
ITS BEEN SITTING IN FLORIDA SUN MINE IS THE SAME
Those scratches are definitely caused by cleaning snow off the hood using a nylon snow brush.
Or car washes
In North Carolina?
Scratches on the hood of the black Chevy could be from improper snow removal.
Hell froze over we finally got an auction day video.
They may not be flashy but ill put money theyll out live a 2025 by decades over.
Time for the used car market to reset to 2019 data
It's all over!
If those scratches on the Caddy’s hood were from automatic car washes, then the sides and top would be scratched as well.
I drive auction cars on Thursdays when I am home for fun. See some really lowball prices lately.
funny how this never gets on my news channels
Those scratches were probably caused by car washer’s. I had something like that happen to my mustang. Last time I did that. I do a rinse less wash with no scratches.
ON a side note cool clouds at 4 30 mins
As awful as COVID was there was 1 good thing that came of it. I bought a new 2018 Mazda6 Grand Touring Reserve for $27.5K OTD in August of '19. Had I known I wouldn't be driving much (due to Covid) I probably wouldn't have bought it. In hindsight, it worked out. It's only got 30K miles, it's paid off in August, and it puts me in a perfect position to jump on a deal if the 🔥sale cometh! Gonna have to be a sweet deal though. I've been really looking forward to not having a car note anymore! ***Tried that Sundays too. Well, sorta. Ordered some to try and it took 6 weeks to deliver. I didn't even bother letting my dog try it figuring availability seemed to be an issue. This was in June or July of '24. Hopefully they have it sorted.***
That caddie with the hood mange 😂 talk about shitflation. Putting cheap paint on a "luxury" truck
GM has a long history of terrible paint.
Ive seen that there is $150ish insurance that can be bought for 4 days of engine and tranny coverage for any auction car that is wise to purchase for every car
The hood lines are from automated car washes.
Most are very aggressive. Clean your ride damage your ride all in one session
Probably that Cadillac was ceramic coated and they drove it through a brush car wash. How do I know? I got lazy and did that. It turned my hood into a spiderweb of mess. Id buy that Cadillac and refinish the hood 👍
I have a 2019 Honda Ridgeline RT...Base model. Prices on current base model 1/3 higher.
nice job
That ended abruptly
Ha, I wanted a used mazda speed 3, searched high and low for one being sold by a guy over 38, which was my limit for MAYBE it hasn't been irresponsibly dogged out.
How much money to these dealerships have, to pay the floor plan interest for 4 years!?!? I figured I'd see some folding by now...
The dealers are ruthless, I helped my daughter buy a Honda CRV a couple of weeks ago and the dealer didn’t budge on price, wouldn’t even give me a set of floor mats. Granted my did pick a great selling car, but still dealers won’t budge. I hate dealing with these greedy s.o.b’s. They have taken all the fun out of car buying.
I got a dealer to drop 5k off a 20k car to 15k. that was like 2017
@ that’s good to hear. I know that since Covid every dealer I’ve talked to, wouldn’t budge on price. If they go out out business, no sympathies from me.
Sports cars, you don't want to be 2nd owner.
I don't see wholesale prices coming down, nor have I seen anything really worth buying at these actions. dealers are dumping them to meet there loans or turn over inventory for better selling vehicles. The fact is no one is really buying .
'I've been going to these car auctions in a few states this past summer and fall just to check it out. I buy construction equipment so I figured why not check out the cars while I'm there which I never have. The prices are going up and the quality of the inventory is just so - so. Most these cars and trucks I've been seeing auctioned off are mix of repos and recycled cars from other auctions 😅, independent used car dealer returns and franchise dealership low quality trade-in's. All of them have one thing in common they are old and older than what used to come though type these auctions, not to mention not in very good condition either. Dealers like Brandon will have to start putting more cash into these cars to sell them. It's like this all across the country at these auctions, and the pickings are slim for good quality cars. The 2017 looks like a " One Day Paint and Body Job" you guys remember that company 😅
Kurt makes the auction videos 👍
dumping cars at auction. anything but let the consumers get it.Just gave away an escalade for less than 20k but if i walked in n tried to buy it for 20 its a no go. Why?
I don't remember the exact reason but I believe they get some kind of tax incentive to dump it at auction.
@@asadianbelifont3875 ah OK. Thanks for the reply. I was genuinely curious. That makes sense.
What does "Ticking" Engine mean???
I usually buy my cars on facebook marketplace you got to know what your buying but it's not hard and I get very good deals dealerships can kick rocks
Probably a poorly repainted Cadillac hood from a budget body shop repair from a previous fender bender.
totally disagree on the Mustang 6, people beat the 8!
while older people buy the 6 and drive mostly highway to work and back.
The hood is aluminum, its oxidizing.
Automatic car washes can scratch paint like that.
I agree. All trucks too stupid expensive.
Going to have to come down a lot more for me to make a move.
They made that mustang on a Wednesday 😂
This is crazy.. insane prices ..big dealers dumping .. small dealers will suffer now if they buy these junks .. God bless America
Looks like some tariffs on the way too, even more to pay, just want a affordable vehicle.
Those scratches in the hoods, are they from the brush in car washes?
I wonder how many of these vehicles are flooded
Prices are not going down
Where do the repo's go?
I’m going to new car dealership and see what they are asking for a cars versus their website and what KBB says it’s worth.
All those scratches, to me prolly could have been caused by an automatic car wash. That's my opinion.
