Just for example if I go into Afterburner and OC from 500mhz to +500mhz = 1000, will the nvidia app read that as 1000mhz card and overclock it even more? Or will the nvidia app overwrite msi and OC from its base stats?.

    My rtx 3080 that I got recently for $375 on ebay I was able to OC it. Zotac amp extreme rtx 3080 10gb. My clock is 2350 from 2055 what the boost was before. I had to run more volts slightly, and just go in 50 mhz increments. It finally wouldn't take more even with more volts and I didn't want to push it! I never tried the auto, and if it gets it close to what manual does then that's great actually and saves time!

      imo most people change gpus long before they ever die. With exception to hardcore gamers who game 12 plus hours a day then it might shorten things a little but Oc is relatively safe in my experience. Also NVidia tuning keeps the tuning in % where they know it wont effect their cards. They wouldn't make something that would make their cards look bad... at least i would hope

      Nobody responded to you but it won’t matter.
      It’s none of their business if you overclock or not and they have no way to call you out on it anyways. They can’t go in and say “yep, he overclocked.”
      It’s probably not something they will even ask you anyways, and if they do you just tell them no.

    i would use the auto tunning feature but it turns off my fans and only uses them at really high temperatures.
    if its overclocking my GPU shouldnt it put the fans at high speeds most of the time?

    • @aintezy
      @aintezy Год назад

      You might as well turn on manual fan speed and crank it up if that’s what u want

    • @AxeDragon1989
      @AxeDragon1989 Год назад +1

      Even if you set an overclock, your gpu still only "ramps up" when it's in use. So if your fans are off when you aren't gaming, that's fine.

    you probably never heard of it because like usual Nvidia alienates the majority of its customers allowing only the latest hardware to use updates.
