  • Clocking in at around 50ish hours, I finished this Nerf Destiny Gjallarhorn repaint! Using simple tools like sandpaper, spray paint, and acrylics, you can do it too! The nerf blaster isn’t the greatest, but it still works and has a unique priming mechanism similar to the in-game design.

    Fun fact, Gjallarhorn is an Icelandic/old norse word. Means loud sounding horn and in modern day it is a megaphone, also, almost no one pronounces it correctly 😄

      @@thecreativeinfantry That's true. It's kinda hard to write how we say it in Icelandic, but Gjallarhorn is pronounced similar to "G-yeah-dlar-hordn" 😁

    Wouldnt it have been better to disassemble the gun in order to paint and make adjustments?
    Making something like removable caps for the screw hole might have been better for future maintenance too.
    otherwise great video!

    • @thecreativeinfantry
      @thecreativeinfantry  Год назад +1

      That is a great point! Absolutely, a full disassembly would make for a more thorough paint job and leaving the screws alone would allow for future maintenance. However, I understand not everyone is comfortable with taking things apart so I wanted to show it’s not necessary. And from a purely looks standpoint, no screw holes looks cleaner IMO

    • @sami300war
      @sami300war Год назад +1

      @@thecreativeinfantry i was thinking more of creating screw hole caps so when you assemble it together then it doesnt show as badly as being open. But they would at least be removable.
      I have done something similar with my previous nerf guns to make them look better and to give me the option for future maintenance.
      But i understand why not to disassemble it and honestly you have done a fantastic job still!

    • @thecreativeinfantry

      Best of luck to you! It was basically the same process for the whole gally. In short: painted it black, added brown, dry brushed a lighter brown, added watered down black paint to get into the crevices, and then add the gold details! My apologies for not covering that part clearly
