I feel super bad aswell. This guy has a story of struggle that has led to this point with all the wrong choices he made under tough times. It sucks but life is sad like this.
@@Randomyoutubecommentercould be genetic it's not always about bad choices I have seen many alcoholics who have easily recovered liver problem and have lived a long and healthy life.

so refreshing to see and hear a Dr. that uses real skill on the human body instead of initially sending us of for countless often needless expensive mechanical testing that is not always accurate and may miss vital information. Being aware of physical and emotional cues from the patient can go along way in the diagnosis. Thank=you both/all so much for this video.
What an amazing way of learning. You are blessed. You have mastered the art of percussion. One thing that I would also add would be Pruritis and scratch/bruise marks. You did mention systemic anastomosia but as medical students , they expect us to say Caput Medusa etc But very informative. Thank you Dr. Sab . This was a treat to watch. Patient didn't look too good but you treated him with respect and were gentle.
My father was just diagnosed with end stage liver disease. His tummy has to be drained now, hepatic encephalopathy. It just is so sad to watch. I mean..... What kind of life expectancy should we be prepared for? Im new to all of this with him. The Drs. Dont tell us much at all and are very ignorant
@@johnthomashefsky9257 Sorry to hear about your father’s situation, John. What I can share with you about my father’s passing is life expectancy is about 2 years. He had ascites from alcohol abuse for decades. Mid 2020 was the first time he went to have his abdomen drained of fluids. Ascites is a symptom of decompensated cirrhosis. Liver transplant would be best solution at that point. Wish you and your father the best.
It's sad but, the patient already malnourished and oedema is advanced, that's the stage it's hard, coz process will be very complicated like you have to take patient to kidney specialist, most patient requires dialysis, donate blood etc
The pattern of examination is a little different from what us shown in the video but overall it was fine.. 👍👍 Some small errors which I would like to point out - 1) check for pallor and icterus simultaneously in both eyes at once and not one at a time as shown in the video 2) always flex legs to examine the abdomen 3)confirm pallor in tongue also 4) stethoscope seedha laga lena
thank you for this great demonstration but I'd like to suggest doing auscultation prior to palpation and percussion because it will alter the result of auscultation. in examining the abdomen, auscultation should be done before percussion and palpation.

This uncle has definitely passed away . Cause once you have Asceitis , it will lead to HE .. which means death with in a year or so . My bua had it and she passed away few months back and liver cirrhosis is worst .. you see them suffering every day every minute
Thank you for the Informative video. I have a question - why is it recommended to check the pulse with the thumb? I thought our thumb itself has a pulse and it will make it harder to count the pulse accurately.
My heart feels so sad for that patient... thanks to him for allowing us to learn from him💜
