    And so the brave Domhnall wakes up, his situation dire and serious.
    Followed by a young cleric, that seems quite mysterious.
    Cross the eldrich wreckedge! Give the enemy pain and woe!

    "I can't go up the ridge" at 18:12 . . . well actually you can go up there just fine.😉 Your characters were very far away from where they would need to jump so the pathing was getting confused. But if you start at the base of the ridge you can go up just fine. There is quite a bit of verticality throughout the game so its good to get used to what you can do. Some of the multilevel stuff can get kind of crazy.
    A tip if the camera gets lost . . . double click on your main portrait to recenter the camera. Also using the O key for overhead top-down view can be really helpful in some situations.

    • @BringItDon
      @BringItDon  Год назад

      Oh, well I saw another path, so I didn't commit fully to trying to go up the ridge. I haven't forgotten about it though.
      I'm familiar with the portrait mechanic from other CRPGs, and have been using it. I did forget about the overhead, tactical view. I'll have to keep that in mind.

    Well, yes... Deception is such a thing, especially for Oath of Devotion Paladins. Avoid it myself and only use it when lives are at stake. Sometimes this game is really mean, and I am glad that I won't have to worry about oaths. Same with Intimidation, stealing and prying.
    It's always interesting to see how others handle things. What they find out that I overlooked and maybe the other way around.
    Especially when they are oldies who know all that old game stuff. Can't wait to see how you'll react to certain books... certain NPCs.... guess you know what I mean.

  • @alphawolf60
    @alphawolf60 Год назад +3

    With the previous installment you could highlight everything. BG3 is a graphically enhanced game so they should have included that, not the item highlighting one, a full scale highlighting option. Since this is a massive increment in graphics it's easy to miss an object, you can't hover over everything you know. Hopefully it will be included in an update, hopefully.
    Also where is US? Is that not a companion or just a temporary one?

    • @BringItDon
      @BringItDon  Год назад +1

      That’s my concern, with how detailed everything is. Maybe once I get used to it, all the detail won’t prevent me from spotting things in the environment. I’ll be taking it very slow, at least until I get used to deciphering the detail.

      This is a very slight spoiler, one I consider of little to no consequence, though it you want to avoid ALL spoilers, no matter how small, this is your warning.
      Us is a follower, basically a temporary companion. As far as I am aware, you encounter quite a few across your travels. Based on what I know about Early Access, Us does not appear again, and is presumed to have died in the crash. However I am not certain about this, and it is a possibility that they show up later in the story, though I doubt it.

    I'm late to this lets play, and so I doubt you'll see this comment, but I can't wait to see how that sword treats you when you said you enjoy your two handed mauls. Myself and my best friend are in early act two, and that still is the best raw damage two handed weapon option so far, and its not super close. That sword is bonkers. We rotate our party between Lae'zal and Karlach (I'm a paladin, he's our rogue, shadowheart is perma party for heals and primary spell caster) with a sprinkle of gale here and there when its useful. Karlach is still using that sword, its the best two handed weapon we have. I use two handers as well (using a particular glaive you can get later) and Laezal is using a different two handed sword that's the next closest weapon for raw statistical power. Haven't seen a single maul worth using all game xD

      It's such a good sword! I think I only swapped it at the end of act 1 (beggining of act 2?) for one of the gith swords, which was better. But that sword really carried us through all of act one hahaha.
