I've bumped into Bev a few times down the years. Around the time of this interview, he was involved in a Charity Football match with Jasper Carrot at Alvechurch Football Club. Bev signed the blue booklet that I took there from the Light Years Box Set. I also met him a few times when he was with Tony Iomi (Sabbath). Both nice guys and Birmingham legends.
Such a great drummer and a seemingly personable and easy to like fellow. That’s one thing I always liked about all the members of ELO; they’re all so kind hearted, humble, and approachable. I sure do miss this band from my youth 😢. Such fond adolescent memories that I’ll cherish forever with ELO providing the soundtrack.
I watched a more recent interview where Bev said their manager wanted Jeff and Bev to do heaps of radio tv interviews to promote latest album. Jeff didn't want to because he was writing new material but Bev said 'sure' and really enjoyed doing them. He is obviously a genuinely nice guy and easy to look on tv:)
Just seen Bev on tour with his mate Jasper Carrot in Henley, Stoke on Trent Victoria Hall. Bev's still got it and at 77 I hope he still keeps rockin for a long-time to come. Seems a genuine guy and very friendly. Would love to meet him.
Just shows what happens when you put in years of hard graft and all those hard yards when you look at Bev's beautiful home. Was this way out in the Birmingham or London suburbs? Only really caught up with these Brummie guys just recently, stacks of vids and interviews, absolutely fascinating...…… Move, ELO, Wizard etc..brilliant...well done guys....you can be so proud of yourselves.
I thought he did a good job on drums on the Black Sabbath 1983 Born Again tour. I remember an interview done years ago where Tony Iommi said that Bev Bevans nickname was the Birmingham Basher because he dented the drum rims so much. I always thought it was kind of strange that he was in Black Sabbath since that music was so completely different from ELO. But I guess Ian Gillan being in Black Sabbath at the same time was kind of different too.
Why should the kind of music they play have any influence on who plays drums. A good drummer, as Bev is/was, should be able to fit into any band and soon pick up the groove...
Hi Steve. Just saw your video dated for 3/11/79 from Tiswas. I've been looking for this Tiswas edition for almost forty years! What I'm really looking for is the last two minutes of this show which shows three married couples playing an end game with the Phantom Flan Flinger where the credits are being given. Would it be ok to post these last two minutes of the show? If you do, I would be very grateful. By the way, glad Aston Villa got promotion back to the Premier League.
Sorry my friend i haven't any more footage from that show than what i posted. Its a clip i got from another site years ago and then reposted to my videos.Im a West Ham United fan so ive got no interest in Aston Villa.🤣🤣⚽️
@@stevejw1947 Ahh, not to worry, Steve. My search continues!! Sorry about the football team mix-up (The picture is small & my eyes aren't what they used to be!!) Thanks anyway, mate. Cheers!
@@TheTrooFurtz Im sorry i cant remember to be honest ive been downloading video clips for years. It could have even been you tube itself but may have been deleted for some reason.😟
BEV BEVAN is an important member of the ELECTRIC LIGHT ORCHESTRA .
Aaah..the beautiful memories. Best band ever is ELO. I lived for ELO back then. Bev is a legend.

Yes, he's got the sweetest smile!
The entire Band had nothing but Personality Plus... always.
He’s so adorable and handsome Valerie is one lucky woman good for her
Great find ! Loved this interview, Thanks for posting
Me too - what a nicely spoken, articulate and polite man, hardly the archetypal Wolves man!
I have listened to ELO for years. I can’t believe how old they are.
Every boy fancied Sally James x
Bev Bevan is the best hard rock Drummer in the worlds.

Bev is appearing in a new super group next year, we are very lucky to have him as one of our 5 drummers! Such a friendly guy.
@@MrBoohai please may I ask where abouts and with which group

The house is at Rowington in the middle of the countryside. It's called Cornerways, but Bev doesn't live there anymore.
I love this of Bev
Bev is the most gorgeous man ever!
Very well spoken young man...
Great bloke :)
i like him
Super perkusista zespołu Electric Light Orchestra ,a w tle przebój wszechczasów .
Thanks as always, bev.
Bev gave most of the ELO interviews btw.
Jeff was the mind of ELO, Kelly was the heart and soul of ELO, and Bev was the voice piece of ELO. Does that make sense?
I have read his book about ELO, fascinating.Still I like more his heávy beat in the Move.
Frankly, 'Greatest Hits' album was my Christmas present in 1994. Also my first ELO record, I owned.
He was the spitting image of my boyhood dentist, Down legend Dan McCartan
Interesting how Bev talks of Melvyn Gale as still being a part of the band. Clearly Jeff Lynne had other ideas.
I LOVE YOU BEV
beautiful smile

it was an incredible concert experience seeing elements of three of my fave bands working together...

I thought hitting the rims was a bad thing.
That was some house he had.
